A missing student. A mysterious school. And one man’s search for the truth.
Former FBI agent Ryan Walker is a private investigator who tracks down people for the wealthy and powerful, frequently crossing the line between justice and revenge. Disgraced by his final operation as an agent and haunted by the demons of his past, he is now lost in the world of missing persons.
Walker seeks atonement for his sins when a client calls upon him to find his missing daughter who vanished from her prestigious private school in suburban Washington, D.C. without a trace. But as he delves deeper into the mystery surrounding the girl’s disappearance, he unexpectedly enters a hidden world of secrets, lies, and deception.
Realizing the elite academy is not what it appears beneath its resplendent surface and driven by a desperate quest for redemption, Walker will risk everything — whatever the cost — to uncover the truth of what really happened at the shadowy school they call…the gilded sanctum.

This book is a wonderful treat to read. Would give eight stars if I could!
We are quarented and book was a. Good diversion
Wasn’t as good as I expected.
Tweety
Interesting but somewhat predictable storyline and characters none of whom were sufficiently realistic or differentiated from each other and stereotypes to truly engage me
Gave up on this book and have permanently removed from my reader.
Boring
Torn on this one. The story is action packed. A damaged ex FBI agent is hired by a mob boss to find his missing daughter from an elite school. There are many twists but I lost interest a few times. It did have merit but again,I was disappointed in the ending. Wrapped up way too easily!
Easy read to pass the time
It was a little slow to get started for me but once I got into it it was very good. I thought I had it figured out but I was wrong! Love when I can’t figure it out
It’s more sci-fi than murder mystery
Disappointing.
Amateurish writing. Little showing, too much telling. Either English is author’s second language, or the author slept through some English classes, or the editor couldn’t bear to read the book.
