The gift is a novella follow-up to The Villain Duology, and a glimpse into Adam and Daphne’s happily ever after. It is best understood after reading the original duet of books.

Book five in the Villain Duology series. Christmas novella best read after reading Adam and Daphne’s stories in The Villain and The Dove. It was so good to read more with them; they are an awesome couple and it was great to see them a couple years in the future. This book has all the holiday feels, sweet & some steamy!!

Absolutely brilliant, if you’ve read The Villain & The dove then you don’t want to miss this. I’ve always loved Adam & liked Daphne but this book made me love the Little Dove. Their happiness does have a wobble but both show how much they love each other & that their attraction is as strong as ever
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a reviewVictoria Vale has given us a perfect and might I say HOT(as in 3 alarm hot) Book!!! The Gift is a great add to Villian Series. it shows a family coming together during difficult times and having faith in the people you love to do right! It was just as wonderful as The Villian and The Dove. This is my favorite series hands down and could read it over and over again. Even though you could read it without reading The Villianand The Dove why would you when all 3 books are heart stopping. I can’t wait to read Butterfly and The Damsel and a book of Ian and Charlotte would be wonderful also.

I love Victoria Vale’s books. She has a way of writing such flawed real characters. The Gift is a story about marriage. It’s about how you have to change your perspective about your spouse as new things are revealed to you. It’s also about coming to terms with the parts of your spouse that you know about but don’t always like. The story ends with a beautiful moment of Daphne and Adam opening their hearts to even more than then they ever expected to have.
The story as always has hot and sexy scenes. What I love is Victoria weaves them into her stories so they make sense and add to the stories richness.

Once again Victoria Vale knocks it out of the ballpark. Daphne and Adam are my favorite couple of all! To get this Novella made my year! Victoria’s writing is like no other. It just hits my soul perfectly. Read this … you will not be disappointed.

WOW…just WOW…
This is a continuation of Victoria Vale’s books “The Villain” and “The Dove”, with two of my favorite characters ever! If you have read the first two books between Adam and Daphne, you know the chemistry between them is undeniable and definitely scorching! Well…it still is!!
I often wondered at the beginning how they could ever work through their relationship to be together. By the end of these books, I wondered if anything could keep them apart. However, this continuation of their story shows that things are not always as they seem and you cannot run from your past. And sometimes unexpected gifts are the best ones to receive.
This book is about second chances and how true love can cover a multitude of sins and regrets. The emotion in this book is real and you can feel it following through the pages. This book will give you all the feels!
I definitely recommend this book (and any other Victoria Vale book) to any lover of romance novels. I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

I recommend reading HART, THE VILLIAN, THE DOVE before reading this book. These books give you the background of Daphne and Adams story, which is very complex and passionate. Adams is finally content with his life until a woman from his past reveals a secret that could damage his marriage to Daphne. Bondage, spanking and some pain may spark triggers.
Spoiler Alert! A sense of betrayal, conflicting emotions, and a giving heart.

This book causes a gambit of emotions. Adam defends Daphne’s honor, one he destroyed, with a man who shamed Daphne publicly. Once they arrive home from London thinking all is well he receives a letter that will change the whole dynamics of their family. Not taking his word that nothing is wrong, she follows him and discovers his secret. Her emotions are all over the place but I think the strongest one is jealousy. She flees to try to come to grips with what she found out. But Adam will not allow her to run. Finally realizing that to blame him or his child is unfair to everyone she comes to except the child and Adam’s faults. One thing I found interesting is Daphne’s mothers forgiveness of Daphne’s father. I guess it was to prove everyone deserves a second chance, or could it be another story for a sequel in this amazing series. I strongly recommend this book. And thank Ms Vale for again sharing her amazing talent & “gift” with her fans.

I was excited for more of Adam and Daphne and this definitely didn’t disappoint. I liked that they still had their great chemistry. I am glad that Daphne was able to open her heart to Ian. I am glad that Adam was honest with Daphne about Ian and wanted to have him home with them.

The gift gives us insight to Adam and Daphne’s life in Scotland at their home Dunnottar with a little mystery or deception going on by Adam. He is acting strange and it does not take Daphne long to come to the conclusion he has grown tired of her and is longing for his old life…….wrong. Anyway, the story moves forth very quickly, and leaves you breathless with the desire and love these two characters have for each other and the way they conquer any problem that presents itself. I will never grow tired of them and would like to have a book at least once a year just to keep me informed of what is going on in their lives. Yes, I know I am acting as if they are real and actually living…..in my mind they do. Thank you Victoria Vale for another wonderful book with characters in which I will never grow tired.

Going back into the intensely erotic world of Adam and Daphne is a joy! But what a surprise Adam has in store for Daphne. No spoilers so I won’t say what surprises this novella has in store for you. Another great story that grabs hold of you right from the beginning and won’t let go until the end. Wished it could have been a bit longer but it is a novella, it just left me wanting more.

This book is about Daphne and Adam who were the main characters in The Villain and the Dove, I will be honest and tell you I did not read these other two books before reading this one, and it did not make a difference, I still loved this book. You can tell the love and chemistry Adam and Daphne had for each other. Also, in this book is Oliva and Niall, who were in the book The Butterfly. Victoria Vale writes so good you get so involved in her books, you do not know where the time has gone. I will now have to add the other books in the Villain Duology in my to be read list so I know more details on how these characters fell in love.

I absolutely love Adam and adore Daphne. The quality of writing is superb, the storyline is highly erotic and at the same time family interaction also figures a lot into the story. There are surprises for everyone, some are better than others but they all have an effect on Adam’s family and his relationships. This is a great addition to this series and I hope this is not the end of the series. I would highly recommend this book as a great read as I am sure you will not be disappointed. As far as I am concerned, this story is as good as it gets.
I kindly received an ARC from the Author for an honest review!
I loved this story, I forgot to mention in my other reviews that this title is fitting for the gift that the Earl and Countess receive!!
Adam the Earl of Hartmoor and his beautiful wife, Daphne have a torrid history together. To better understand this book, I would recommend reading The Villain Series. Adam and Daphne are returning home to Scotland from a trip to London.
When they arrive home, Lady Olivia, Adam’s sister and her husband Niall and their children are there. They are all spending Christmas together.
One night Daphne encounters Adam in his office, he is upset after reading a letter.
When Daphne asks him about it, he dismisses it and then the next day he’s gone. She is worried about him and decides to go find him and follow him with her brother in law, Niall.
This story line is so well written. It is a fast paced story, filled with attention to details and new characters!! Ms. Vale is an excellent at making me visiualize her character, their emotions and surroundings.
This was a captivating story, and I read it in one day, I could not stop! It’s intense, emotional and sad, but what a gift. The gift had many meanings for me and I greatly enjoyed reading it and Highly recommend this book and of course, the whole series!!
Adam has been keeping a huge dark secret from Daphne and can no longer hide it. The strength and depth of their love is put to the test. Once again Ms. Vale has written such a beautiful tale for this couple.
