The ghosts were real, the characters were well-drawn and interesting, and the plot progressed quickly. This was an entertaining read, though I felt the author sped through it. It would have been so much better with more detail and a lot fewer pat answers. The characters have some scary confrontations, to be sure, but they don’t ever seem to struggle or think enough considering what they are up against. Sleepless nights indicate there might be some thinking going on, but the reader never sees enough of it for a truly satisfying and complete experience.
This is the second book in the series; I had the same complaints about the first. Print length is 169 pages, with fully 10% of the space at the end used to give previews of a large handful of the author’s other books.
I liked this one so much I would consider reading more by this author, which is rare for me. I have so many, so very many books to read that I move through them quickly and rarely bother to look up an author or read the next book. It was stand alone enough to be very satisfying and involved enough to make you want to read more about the characters in a next book.
Amateurish. Undeveloped characters.
I liked the premise of this story, but it fell way short in the telling. The plot should have built to be more tragic, haunting even scary, but it didn’t. Spent a bunch of time describing the equipment and not enough time on the reactions feelings of the characters interactions with the ghosts. it’s like a bad ghost hunting show with no depth and missed opportunities.
Great read
No substance and poorly crafted. Deleted from my device.
It was an enjoyable read with a haunting ending.
Very interesting book. I enjoyed it from beginning to the last page. I would recommend it to anyone.
This is a great book if you happen to be a high-school girl, but for me not much to recommend it. The haunting and ghost-hunting parts were good, the romantic interpersonal conflicts were unreadable.
Loved it
