Loved this book. It was fun and scary and wonderful. This was the first book I have read by this author and now will go back to read the seven sisters books that let up to this story. Highly recommend this book, it is really a good book and makes you want to read all of the books.
Love this book. Never knew what was going to happen next. Great characters.
This book will make you a little bit scared and interested.
Continuity/inconsistencies:
Henri and Detra Ann eloped at the end of The Sun Rises Over Seven Sisters, and now in this they’re not yet married. Then when CJ dreams with her mother she has a reaction about her Mom being a dream catcher also. We found out that not only is her mother but so was her grandmother.
Seven Sisters was renamed Beaumont-Cottonwood Manor, but is referred to as Seven Sisters throughout the entire book.
Otherwise I found the story good, not real certain what the whole point of CJ’s Mother being injured, or why Rachel’s grandmother remodeled the garage. Hopefully these questions and many more will be answered in the future.
Spun off from the Seven Sisters collection an is just as entertaining. Did not want to set it down.
When I’m not reading horror, I like immersing myself in a good ghost story. The thing about this sub-genre is, you can pretty much do what you want anywhere you want. I love learning about different parts of the country. The Ghosts of Idlewood paints a realistic picture of the modern South. And in reaching back to centuries past, it provides the reader with a rich tapestry of what life might have been like on a plantation.
Story was not as well developed as the Seven Sisters Series.
This book was rushed and confusing, to be fair, i didn’t read the series it is a spin off from
very good. sorry when I came to the end
Really creepy book. I enjoyed it, strangely enough. Fun read.
I wouldn’t buy the rest in the series, but it was a decent read for a free book
I felt like I was missing parts of this story. Maybe that was in the first book of the series? This book DOES NOT stand alone.
real page turner and keeps you guessing until the end. Strongly recommend it to others as you will not regret reading it.
It’s an easy read with a few interesting parts thrown in but dicection of different characters was annoying!
Love a good ghost story.
Good easy book to read
Kind of creepy
Just like all the other Ghost Stories but a good book to kill time.
I couldn’t put it down & went looking for more of the story as soon as I finished it. My only complaint is the unanswered mysteries, I wanted a little more closure.
Missing character development. The story line was good but it was missing any resolution with characters, some appear and disappear without any detail so you are left wondering why they are even in the story.
