This is the second book with Carrie Jo, the historical restorer who uses more than her degree to get the touches on the old southern mansions ‘just right .’ I enjoyed this book and the quirky southern touches that weave the people and events together.
A fun, easy read that allowed you to jump into the series without having read the first few books.
Way too many loose ends. I understand wanting to generate interest in the book to follow but, this was way too many loose ends.
Very good and scary
A good quickie read.
The plot line of this was wonderful! I’m going to go back and read her other work. Loved it.
Happy Halloween everyone!! Had to read a spooky book to celebrate the holiday, and this one certainly did the trick. A creepy haunted house story with several supernatural plots all intertwined. Characters are from Seven Sisters series, so you’d need to read those to get back history on them, but was able to read as stand alone without too much trouble. I’d give 3.5 stars because the ending felt very rushed, with several storylines unresolved. I’m fine with having cliffhangers to entice me, but it feels forced when over 50% of the plots are only revealed by reading another volume. However, I am interested enough to read at least one more to see what happens, so I guess the tactic was effective, huh? 🙂
I read this series and they were quick, easy reads.
Cute, witty a bit predictable
It is a continuation in the series and it would be helpful to have read the previous but not required. Was a little short but I guess I’ll have to get the next one …
