Now a complete series!Wolves. Dragon shifters. A fallen kingdom destined to rise again. Evie Callahan is positive there’s something strange going on in Seaton Falls, her new home. The locals are bigger, stronger, and faster than most. That includes Nick, the boy next door who’s become her silver lining in this godforsaken town. She wants to trust her instincts–about Nick, about what she suspects … instincts–about Nick, about what she suspects in Seaton Falls–but rumors of wolves and dragon shifters makes it hard to tell what’s real. With a history of odd dreams and the nagging sense that she’s never belonged, Evie fears she’s losing touch with reality. Her concern only grows when someone who’s haunted these dreams is suddenly tangible … and claims to hold the key to unlocking her true identity.
Finding out her entire life has been a lie is scary enough, but what’s downright terrifying is discovering who she’s destined to become.
Evie’s much more than your average, seventeen-year-old girl.
And this is her genesis.

I started reading this title by chance and I was surprised by it. It’s the first story I read written by Rachel Jones and I’m delighted that I picked it. Let’s see what Evangeline, Nick and Liam will be up to and what surprises expect us next.
I highly recommend this series. It’s so well written and entertaining. I cared about the characters right away. Do yourself a favor and melt into this story. You’ll be so glad you did!
This was one of the best books that I’ve ever read! I’ve already lost track of how many times I’ve read it and the rest of the books in the series! If you love PNR and shifters, this series is a must. The series is also complete, so no having to wait for the next book to release!
SAME REVIEW GIVEN FOR ALL 5 BOOKS: If you’re into Young Adult/New Adult books and you’re a teenager, you will like this story. The only issues I had with the entire series, is the repetitive account of the hero and heroine’s past and present occurrences. This could have easily been one book, but like most authors these days, she chose to drag the story out. I ended up skimming just to get to the HEA ending. The premise of the story is not new, but was navigated well. If I knew that YA/NA meant, a chaste description of sexual scenes, I would have skipped this all together. The heroine, who the main story is about, remains a teenager throughout all 5 books. The chemistry between the hero and heroine was deeply felt, but the physical manifestation was a bit drab and juvenile, but only because, it’s a YA/NA book. As most reviewers have stated, the “war” was anti-climatic and there were still unanswered questions regarding the heroine’s father and her adoptive parents. Overall a good read for teenagers who like paranormal books.
I made poor life choices last night because of new-to-me author Rachel Jonas, Author. I could not put The Genesis of Evangeline down and stayed up until 2am reading it. FOUR hours of sleep and I have 4% of the book left but I have to go to work.
Fantastic book! Lots of angst and drama. Perfect for YA fans. I can’t wait to keep reading and the series is complete so it’s a great binge read… just don’t start it before bed unless you are prepared to stay up all night.

The Genesis of Evangeline
by Rachel Jonas
Great character development, terrific environmental detail, awesome array of paranormals!! This book starts a little slow but quickly sucks you in and leaves you wanting more. This was my first book by the author Rachel Jonas, but it will not be my last!! She has a new fan for life!
Have you ever found a book so epic that even when you’re not reading it, you’re thinking about it? That’s how fantastic this book is. The author takes you by your hand and leads you into this world of shifters, she gets you invested in Evie, Nick, and Liam’s lives, their hopes, their well-being. Roz is a wild card I haven’t quite figured out yet, but I hope she becomes a main character. I had to force myself to take my time reading this because otherwise I would have blown right through it. It was such an amazing book!!
Received as an Advanced Readers Copy. YA is not my usual genre, but I found myself drawn in by the story immediately. I read this book in one day.
Evie is adopted and you feel her teenage angst and confusion. Within a year after finding out she is adopted she starts having bizarre vivid dreams about Liam, a young man she feels a connection to but is unable to determine how or why. Nick is the boy next door that befriends her as she has recently moved to a new town and a budding romance/friendship begins. Neither aware of the nature of the town they are living in and the roles that they are to play in each others lives. Liam appears in the flesh, and it turns out that he and Evie have a past that is centuries old. He is her warrior and protector. The story keeps you captivated hoping to get to the end for a solution.
However this ends on a cliffhanger so more will be revealed in book 2!
The Genesis of Evangeline was more like 4.5’s. I liked it a lot and I’m glad I decided to read it. I can’t wait for the second book in the series to be released.
