Murdered artists. Masterful forgeries. Art crime at its worst.
As an insurance investigator and world renowned expert in nonverbal communication, Dr Genevieve Lenard faces the daily challenge of living a successful, independent life. Particularly because she has to deal with her high functioning Autism. Nothing — not her studies, her high IQ, or her astounding analytical skills — prepared her … analytical skills — prepared her for the changes about to take place in her life.
It started as a favour to help her boss’s acerbic friend look into the murder of a young artist, but soon it proves to be far more complex. Forced out of her predictable routines, safe environment and limited social interaction, Genevieve is thrown into exploring the meaning of friendship, expanding her social definitions, and for the first time in her life be part of a team in a race to stop more artists from being murdered.

Great look into an alternative world view (autism).
Wonderful series of books.
I loved this book and am already halfway through the second. My husband is also on the spectrum, and I recognize so much in Jenny. The characters and the mystery had me absolutely fascinated. I don’t give 5 star ratings easily, but I’ve enjoyed this one so much I’ve already recommended the author to a few friends. I may even read it again at some …
Unusual to find a compelling yet impaired character at a books center! BRAVO!
This series main character is a high functioning autistic. She is crazy smart and doesn’t understand colloquiums. She and a supporting cast of CEO, police officer, art forger/thief, computer hacker and criminal/chef make a remarkable crime solving team. The book is a fun read and makes you want read more about these characters.
Some portions were constantly repetitive which could have been less and still had the message be understood but that is how I feel. Story, characters and ending were interesting and a good read. Considering my feelings of repetitiveness I still read 3 books from this author and would read another.
Love this series!
I really enjoyed this book. The characters are well developed and believable. It also showed that people who are different can still be amazing.
Main Character reminds me of Bones. A quick, entertaining, and somewhat informative read.
This was an interesting read as the main character has to deal with her high functioning Autism. It is fascinationg to read her thought process when solving a tough situation.
Great characters. Have read the entire series. Each book is original and engaging. Watching the characters grow through the series makes me go back and reread the books multiple time. Few series hold my attention for more than the first few books. Highly recommended .
I loved that they used an unusual personality type for the main character and allowed her the change through her relationships. I was rooting for her love life through the entire book!
I enjoyed this story enough to buy a few of the other books! The stories are pretty good and make one want to see what the characters get involved with next. After reading a few,it was tedious having the redundant explanations of the lead character’s medical symptoms and her group’s “quirks”! Some interductory facts are to be expected, just don’t …
I bought the first book free from one of the book clubs and liked it so good that I have purchased all the rest of her books.
Kept me guessing. A nice touch with an autistic heroine.
Really enjoyed.
Awesome!
very different,I always read her books in one sitting
Loved this and will be reading more by this author
THe lead character is truly unique: her abilities are fascinating, and relations to the other characters are intriguing. She is a non-typical heroine and opens the reader to a world formerly unknown or thought about. The plots of all this series are complex. Every time I finish one of this series I find myself going straight to the next, as I …
