Murdered artists. Masterful forgeries. Art crime at its worst.
As an insurance investigator and world renowned expert in nonverbal communication, Dr Genevieve Lenard faces the daily challenge of living a successful, independent life. Particularly because she has to deal with her high functioning Autism. Nothing — not her studies, her high IQ, or her astounding analytical skills — prepared her … analytical skills — prepared her for the changes about to take place in her life.
It started as a favour to help her boss’s acerbic friend look into the murder of a young artist, but soon it proves to be far more complex. Forced out of her predictable routines, safe environment and limited social interaction, Genevieve is thrown into exploring the meaning of friendship, expanding her social definitions, and for the first time in her life be part of a team in a race to stop more artists from being murdered.

Great read. Best mystery I have read in a long time.
The characters are good, the story is amazingly done. Love this series!
This first book in the Genevieve Lenard series pulled me in with the unique characters. I haven’t been disappointed by any of the books in this series.
Very uninteresting.
Fun read with an interesting mix of characters.
Love every book in Estelle Ryan’s Genevieve Lenard series.
Highly recommend.
I love this whole series! The characters show growth throughout. Their relationships mature in interesting ways. The stories are always exciting.
Ms. Ryan’s book series centers around Dr. Gevieve Lenard, an amasing character, enhanced by the other characters that have necome part of her life, involuntarily. Suspense, history, intrigue. I have all her books and have a hard time waiting for the next in the series. Highly recommended.
Fast-paced with great characters!
I enjoyed this book as much – if not more than – the first book in the series. Looking forward to the next one in the list!
It was a good Thursday night book to read. March madness is just for college basketball.
The autism thing has been presented on tv, but I got a much fuller idea of the thoughts going thru the character’s mind by reading the story. Interesting, but took a while to get into bcz the sentences were packed full of info and I had to get used to the candence of the writing.
Okay read.
Love the series. I don’t usually buy, but I would this series. Genevieve is a complicated and interesting character. Not the usual mystery style but clean and keeps your interest
This is a terrific series, great job of building the characters
The author has the ability to create meaningful characters that evoke both your interest and your loyalty from the first time you encounter them. The story was addictive and a real page turner. It kept my up reading. I just couldn’t put it down!
I tried this because I love mysteries, it sounded interesting, and was a bargain! It was great. Quick paced. Great characters. I recommended this to my two daughters, and they like me have just about completed reading the series!
I read the second book first (The Dante Connection) and fell in love with Genevieve and her companions, so had to search out this book to read, too. In the spirit of “show, not tell,” there were many wonderful moments in the book which filled in details about the characters. I will continue the series, as it has been very interesting so far!
This is an excellent book, the first of the Genevieve Lenard series. I am on book 7 and love the evolution of the characters, the connected plots, and most of all, seeing how Lenard’s mind works
Couldn’t put it down!
