Murdered artists. Masterful forgeries. Art crime at its worst.
As an insurance investigator and world renowned expert in nonverbal communication, Dr Genevieve Lenard faces the daily challenge of living a successful, independent life. Particularly because she has to deal with her high functioning Autism. Nothing — not her studies, her high IQ, or her astounding analytical skills — prepared her … analytical skills — prepared her for the changes about to take place in her life.
It started as a favour to help her boss’s acerbic friend look into the murder of a young artist, but soon it proves to be far more complex. Forced out of her predictable routines, safe environment and limited social interaction, Genevieve is thrown into exploring the meaning of friendship, expanding her social definitions, and for the first time in her life be part of a team in a race to stop more artists from being murdered.

The beginning to the most exciting series I’ve ever read…
The qualities of the main character makes The Gauguin Collection a good read. Most enjoyable!
I appreciated the originality of this book and its protangonist, an intelligent, highly functioning autistic woman and look forward to reading more in this series.
Kept my interest
Entertaining journey into fascinating mind.
Good story line, fun characters with real issues which will, no doubt, be developed and wrestled with in future books. Left me wanting to read more about them.
Good twists! I have read some of the sequels prior to this, so it is nice to see the beginning. I very much like Dr. Leonard’s character!

I love this series – I will buy every book of Ms. Ryan’s in this series as I am able. The characters are excellently created, situations are realistic, and I just keep reading to see what they’re up to next!

This novel, however, introduced me to one of the most original female protagonists yet. Dr. Genevieve Lenard is an investigator with an art insurance firm, who is asked to assist on a new type of …
