Murdered artists. Masterful forgeries. Art crime at its worst.
As an insurance investigator and world renowned expert in nonverbal communication, Dr Genevieve Lenard faces the daily challenge of living a successful, independent life. Particularly because she has to deal with her high functioning Autism. Nothing — not her studies, her high IQ, or her astounding analytical skills — prepared her … analytical skills — prepared her for the changes about to take place in her life.
It started as a favour to help her boss’s acerbic friend look into the murder of a young artist, but soon it proves to be far more complex. Forced out of her predictable routines, safe environment and limited social interaction, Genevieve is thrown into exploring the meaning of friendship, expanding her social definitions, and for the first time in her life be part of a team in a race to stop more artists from being murdered.

The Dante Connection
Saw this book on sale and heard good things. While purchasing it, also found out her first book in the series was free for a limited time. Can’t wait to see if all the hype is true!
Estelle Ryan’s series of books about Genevieve Lenard, an Autistic professional, is superb. Ryan gets into the head of her characters, interlacing the friendships and difficulties Genevieve has with meeting “normal” people and making friends with them. I LOVE this series, and cannot wait for more!
Any of the series by Estelle Ryan would make a good movie, I think. There’s plenty of action, some drama (not the bad kind!) and great characters. They’d have to find someone extremely talented to play the lead role, though. She’s a brilliant, high-functioning autistic woman who is an expert at reading body language. This is, in fact, her job with …
A wonderful crime/mystery about international art crimes. The main character is on the autism spectrum and you can’t help but fall in love with her and All the characters. There are 9 books the series so far and I
recommend them all!
I love cozy mysteries, but after reading them for about 26 years, it’s hard to find anything original and creative. The Gauguin Connection is one of the most original and deftly creative cozies I’ve read in some time. Part of that is the world building (yes, genres other than science fiction and fantasy have wb too). The other refreshing element …
A fascinating mystery with very original characters.
Brings the world of autism to a new light.
This is the first of a series about a genius-level autistic PhD psychologist who has worked for six years for an insurance company in France that especially deals with expensive artworks. Genevieve is brought into a new application that keeps getting bigger and bigger, opening up her life to more individuals and experiences. An art forger and …
A new perspective on the world around us. The potential of others with traits of autism. Nothing should hold us back and these characters show us that. The detail the author puts into each character is amazing. I love the way these characters are brought together.
This is a fun beginning to a series about art, artists, art thieves, and crime solving teams. It is well written and unpredictable. The main character is quirky in a believable way and watching the relationships grow between the characters keeps the story moving along.
This is the first in a series of serious crime/suspense novels involving a woman who suffers from a disability that makes it difficult to interact with other people. She works at a high end art insurance company putting strands of information together to solve mysteries involving art.
Along the way she meets and accumulates a small group of …
I read three of Ryan’s books, they were all good. I bought several more.
Good mysteries and main character.
What a great story! I love the Characters and the story line. It is a clean mystery that keeps you on your toes. I loved it so much that this is the third time that I have read it.
Genevieve Lenard is a non-neurotypical person working as an insurance investigator focused on the art world. Her particular skill: the ability to focus in and make connections between what appear to be unconnected events and people. Her particular problem: she is somewhere on the autism spectrum (she won’t like that I use that term, so forgive me, …
This is one of Genevieve Lenard series (can’t remember which #). I love the writing; you have this amazing woman who works in art investigations, is an expert at reading body language and facial micro expressions and just happens to to be on the autistic spectrum. I look forward to each new book because the writing between the characters feels so …
Love, loved, the main character…all the characters really!
From start to finish this book keeps you guessing until the end. Page turner filled with believable characters and unusual situations, very hard to put down. Highly recommend!Looking forward to the next book in this series.
This is my favorite series, look forward to reading more of these
Love the whole series. Can’t wait for the next one.
Love this series!
