Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year.
The tourists think it’s all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better.
Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all.
Willa Iscove, fae jeweler, has her first stalker. Really, he’s … jeweler, has her first stalker. Really, he’s just one of her lovesick customers. The ring she crafted to help him find new love has backfired, making Willa the object of his affections. In a bid to rid herself of her amorous client, Willa makes a wish in the Nocturne Falls fountain using the piece of opal in her pocket and in doing so, unknowingly conscripts as her guardian the sexy gargoyle on duty.

Now she wants his help? He’s determined to figure out what she’s up to. Which won’t be a hardship considering how much fun she is to be around. And kiss
But then her stalker turns out to be the tip of the iceberg and things go really wrong, really fast. When they’re both kidnapped, Willa is forced to make a hard decision. The life of her family or the freedom of the man she’s fallen for?

The Gargoyle Gets His Girl is book three in the Nocturne Falls series by Kristen Painter.
This is a quirky series. It’s fun and enjoyable. I like the concept of Nocturne Falls and it’s town full of supernaturals.
We meet Nick, the gargoyle a retired military man who is trying to make a life in Nocturne Falls. We also meet Willa, a Fae who can control metal and stone. She is the resonant jeweler.
Both have hurdles to jump over and issues to resolve. I like Willa. She’s strong and smart. I also liked Nick. He was a unique Gargoyle.
Their romance is light-hearted. It’s an instalove, yet this one took a little longer, but still instalove. I liked how Nick and Willa meet. I also liked learning about Willa’s past. There’s plenty of intrigue and Fae action.
The Gargoyle Gets His Girl was an enjoyable read.

Willa Iscove, fae jeweler, has a stalker. One of her customers has become lovesick with her after a ring she crafted for him to find new love backfired. She makes a wish upon the Nocturne Falls fountain using a piece of opal and unknowingly conscripts the gargoyle on duty to help her.
A gargoyle and a fae seem like an unusual pair but these two work beautifully as a couple. They have a lot of trust issues, especially Nick, but they work it out and fall even harder for each other. If you can’t tell, I really liked Willa and Nick’s story.
Willa was introduced in the first book when she made Delaney’s ring and I thought she was a wonderful side character. I love how this world keeps expanding with each book and each new paranormal that is revealed. Willa’s history was sad but she was able to repair some of the damage with her family and her people.
Nick was briefly mentioned during that first book as well. Nick is an extremely protective alpha male who can turn into the large class of gargoyle. I found the gargoyles fascinating and really wish we had learned more about their species and the different classes. Willa and Nick were an adorable couple and I couldn’t get enough of them.
This book gives us a look at the fae kingdom which I found very fascinating. I love that with every book Painter continues to build this world and doesn’t limit herself to just the town of Nocturne Falls. I love a unique and well built world. Overall, this was another great addition to the series and I can’t wait to see who is going to fall in love next.
Nick is new to town and becomes unexpectedly attached to fae, Willa. I loved the descriptions of the fae world and Will’s special magic. I understood Nick’s initial hesitation to become involved with her. Nick is a big , lovable, protective hero I couldn’t help but love. Willa has a good heart and a sharp mind. She is very brave and I love her problem solving skills. This romance has closed door heat and plenty of swoony moments. I very much enjoyed the fantasy that is Nocturne Falls.
I love this series so much. The world building is always great in this series, but with this one we also got a Fae kingdom in addition to the always awesome Nocturne Falls. I’m usually not a fan of fae/fairy characters but I liked this heroine and she was perfectly matched with the gargoyle hero, Nick.
