wonderful book.
Good read with real characters. Multiple stories that are fun and easy to follow. Grabs your interest.
A heartbreakingly beautiful start to a great new series from KA! I’ve loved every book I’ve read so far. This one had a little bit more sadness than most, but it’s still amazing.
Summary:
Nina Sheridan is on a timeout. She needs to think about where life has brought her, and if she wants to stay committed to the path she’s chosen. She’s having …
Loved this book – Nina is hysterical and Wonder-Max is all that and then some. This book has comedic brilliance but doesn’t shy away from emotionally challenging topics that will have your heart breaking.
Nina is on holiday in the Colorado mountains for some time alone before she gets married. Her fiance is boring and doesn’t see the real her. …
Years later, this is still one of my all-time favorite Romance novels ever.
Why did it take me this long to read a book written by Kristen Ashley? I have no idea, but I’m glad I read The Gamble. The Gamble is the first book in Kristen’s Colorado Mountain series, but each can be read as a standalone. I picked up The Gamble thanks to the Romanceopoly challenge that was created by the Under @UTCBookBlog and …
My favourite Kristen Ashley book
Love Kristen Ashley. Her writing style is like rich chocolate… a favorite, but can only be taken in small doses. That said, this book was my least favorite. Try Mystery Man if you’re looking for a good Kristen Ashley book.
Audiobook edit: the narraror’s voice took awhile to get used to because of the way the men were spoken, but by the end, I didn’t have a problem because I was so engrossed in the story.
Awesomesauce! I love everything I have read by Kristen Ashley, and devour each book in hours, even during a reread! I adored Max and Nina’s love story. No one can …
I LOVED this book. I love the characters the Author created. So good… with some real depth!! One character uses a LOT of cuss words but the story was so great, I let that slide 😉 definitely any to read more by Kristen Ashley
The Gamble begins with Nina taking a vacation away from her fiance. She’s not sure how she really likes how things are going with him, and her life. So now she’s going to take a holiday in the Colorado mountains, but there is a problem because the house she booked has a man already in it. But when Nina tries to leave she ends up getting sick, and …
Love everything from this author!
Awesome series…Kristen Ashley is one of my favorite storytellers.
Loved it!
Very good storyline.
Kristen Ashley is one of my favorite authors ever. I own all her books, I discover her a few years ago and I was so lucky to have found her. This series I have re read whenever I am in a book slump. This is a slow burn romance on the part of Nina wasn’t so self aware of what is transpiring between her and Swoon for Maxwell Holden. You will …
It’s my first Kristen Ashley and I loved it so much I bought three more of the Colorado Mountain series. Stay up late to read them, too.
I’ve read every series she put out. Takes me to another place.
Although this was one of the longer books I’ve read, it ended too soon. I fell for the town and the characters, especially Macho Mountain Man Max! Can’t wait to read more by Kristen Ashley!!
OK folks, these asterisks – ***** – represent the extra 5 stars this book deserves. It’s a 10-star story in a 5-star world. I found this book to be almost impossible to put down. Pacing, plot and characters were spot on. It must have been really difficult to carry on a normal life during the story creation with these characters scrambling to …
