I was engrossed with this book from the beginning. I absolutely loved the characters. Even though they were a little older than me I could still relate to them. I love how Kristen Ashley writes. This book is a romantic suspense. There is a lot of drama. I found myself wanting to keep reading into the wee hours of the night. And when i had to stop …
Loved the writer’s voice in this. The very first chapter drew me in. Excellent storyline and page-turner. I’ll be reading more from this author.
Great story…lots of twists and turns..along with romance and drama!
The Gamble is the first book that I have read by Kristen Ashley, and I am hooked.
Nina takes a break from her life in England to think things through; especially her engagement. She ends up renting a beautiful mountain home in Colorado, only for one thing to happen after the next. Max is surprised when Nina shows up on his doorstep only to inform …
Great story
First read from this author BUT will not be my last. Love her writing! Her characters are extremely well developed, her storyline engulfs quickly and holds until the very end.
Nina was plucky, sassy, but holy cow, was she stubborn! She was independent out of necessity due to some choices in her past, but I liked how she eventually matured, concluded it was okay to ask for help, and found someone to lean on besides herself.
I liked Max! He was this fine balance of respectfully over-protective and confident versus …
Kristen Ashley is one of my favorite authors. This story was funny, filled with emotion (made me laugh, cry, fill with warmth and feel the love of the characters). great series, loved all the books in this one. easy read, I recommend this series!
A wonderful storyteller. I know everytime I choose a Kristen Ashley book, I will be thoroughly entertained. Kristen, you are a great storyteller. Please don’t stop!!
Kristen Ashley develops such rich characters in every book of hers I’ve read, including this one. Kristen’s creative mind takes the characters and readers on an adventure. She has become a favorite author of mine.

REVIEW:
Oh boy…or should I say oh man! I’m a new fan of Kristen Ashley and was so excited that author Jennifer Armentrout recommended her writing. There is so much about the Colorado Mountain series that I adored, from the heavy length of …
Now I get it, FINALLY!! This is my second Kristen Ashley series, the first being her Three Trilogy which was phenomenal by the way but when peoples say “OG KA IS THE BEST” now I know!!! The Gamble was easily one of the best books I’ve read of 2020. Hell, it is one of the best books I have ever read!!
“You just need to know, I gotta fight to keep …
The Gamble, (Colorado Mountain #1) by Kristen Ashley is the first book in the Colorado Mountain Series.
Nina Sheridan escapes her life in England for a two week “time out” getaway vacation. She is currently engaged to her fiancé Niles, who is ignores her, doesn’t seem to care about her all and hasn’t been intimate with her in months. Nina has …
I got sick of the F word. Take that out and a few loves scenes wouldn’t have been a bad book.
This is about 4.5 stars. It was almost perfection for me. It’s a pretty long book and I can get bored easy but I was never bored with Max and Nina. Not once. It goes to show that when you really love the characters, you just want more of them.
This also had a lot of drama in it and normally I hate other women drama, but it was handled so …
One of my many favorites of Kristen Ashley
Max is quite perfect and Nina pretty good. This book is long but I love Kristen Ashley books and I just really felt the need for a good KA hero. But the insta-love is not for me. I mean, a week in and they are talking about moving in. Well, not talking, telling. Despite the length of this book, it does not drag. It’s fast-paced, action-packed and …
I thought Max and Nina were beyond cute. I found myself smiling so many times while reading the entire 644 pages that it made my cheeks hurt. There was a great mix of side characters. Some you will like, some you will hurt for, and some you will absolutely despise. When I picked up The Gamble I was in the mood for a small town, chemistry so hot …
This is my third time reading this wonderful book. I love the story, the characters and the emotions this story evokes in me. I love Kristen Ashley’s books, every one is a treasure.
