Warning – This book contains strong sexual content. It should only be read by mature audiencesFrom the writer of some stuff that’s been written before, comes the following:Men are supposed to be strong. Fearless. Alpha. But what happens when a frog stops all of that? Not a paranormal frog that changes shape into a human, or a fantastical frog that needs a team to complete an epic quest. A normal, … a team to complete an epic quest. A normal, regular frog.
Brace yourself for an epic love triangle of sorts between a man, a woman, and a…frog?
The Frog and the Lady. A romantic comedy that exists somewhere on the plane between life and love. And the zombie apocalypse.
(No zombies were harmed in the writing of this book. No frogs either. The author may have stubbed his toe. We’re not sure).

Laugh out loud funny! I truly enjoyed this book! Anderson and Emily are two great characters. The story was very entertaining and sweet. This is a short story, but an epic romantic comedy! Mr. Hall packs a lot into this story and I am impressed with his comedic timing! An excellent read with a side of sex, intrigue and comedy. I highly recommend it!

The Lady and the Frog was hilarious. Anderson is petrified of small creatures enough so that he threw a chick out in the middle of sex I laughed so hard… Then when the tables were turned and Emily walked out I just shook my head like… Damn there is literally no other way to serve up a man’s balls than to walk out like he didn’t just make you cream yourself! You won’t regret reading this book I promise! It’s a book unlike any other. I received an ARC copy for my honest review.
This has got to be one of the funniest books I have read in a very long time! If you are looking for a great Rom-Com… this is it!! The mysterious condition of the Alpha Male and what he endures to win the heart of his leading lady is quirky, undeniable fun. It is a fast paced read, one that will keep you laughing throughout.. I highly recommend it!
Anderson Stone is a good-looking, well-built guy who suffers from acute Microzoophobia—he fears small animals and bugs. The night that he is heavily making out with a young woman, whose name he cannot remember, he is foiled by a mouse. Bees, mosquitos, and water bugs, cause him to get in a flap of some kind.
At work, Anderson and Emily prepare a presentation together and discover that they are attracted to each other. Sparks fly but Anderson wants the presentation completed before he will take the relationship further.
The night before his presentation, a frog croaks him awake in the wee small hours of the morning, causing Anderson to miss his presentation. He is given a second chance that he fluffs. One frog soon becomes many and he has to plot to get rid of them. When Emily learns of this, she gets very angry and refuses to be with him. But he wants her and goes through all kinds of antics to find peace with the frogs, get his job back and get the girl. Tony, Anderson’s friend is comical and carefree; an unassuming and humorous character.
This book made me feel happy and I found myself chuckling and snickering and even croaking. It is a fun story full of amusing and laughable situations. It is very well written, with lots of funny, clever dialogue and one-liners. I liked this book very much and am anxious to read more of Lawrence Hall’s work.
Are you looking for a fairly short, but great read that happens to be funny AND happen to have a HEA??? Then look no further! I really didn’t know what to expect from the author of such classics as Write Your Book, Lawrence, and Stick Daddy, but I was intrigued by the blurb. How can you not be, I mean it gives absolutely nothing away about the book, yet my finger clicked to borrow before my brain could stop me. And for that I’m glad.
Anderson is one of those guys, you know the type, works out every day, great at his job, a bro. The one who’s taking a different woman home every night. But he’s not perfect, nope, his fatal flaw is his fear of small animals, one you find out on the first page. But, he’s not that shallow, he’s hiding a secret, a crush on a co-worker, the drop-dead gorgeous Emily.
Emily is not your usual leading lady. She knows what she wants, she’s passionate, she’s caring, she’s strong. She’s wonderful, and I absolutely loved her! I love how she puts Anderson in his place and walks away for convictions.
Look, the writing is good, it’s got a great storyline, and wonderful characters, there’s nothing stopping you from one-clicking and laughing out loud like I did!

A couple of friends of mine recommended I read this book. I am glad they did. The Frog and the Lady is a quirky, humourous, and sweet romantic comedy. This book had me laughing. Anderson is not your typical alpha male. I really liked Emily. I found this to be a very enjoyable and fun read.
This is a quirky, witty read. I really enjoyed how the author played with Anderson’s alpha persona, his agitation with his pesky nemesis the frog, and it’s effects on his budding romance with the sweet, bookish Emily. It’s very well written and wry and you really feel for Anderson and all that he endures with the Frog and the Lady.
This is a good-fun read with some nice underlying messages and a steamy sex scene. I also found it interesting to read a book like this written by a man–this is a first for me.
What I liked best is Hall’s twist to the tale, indicating that the very things we might consider to be a problem are actually blessings in disguise. When we shift our perspective to take in what’s good in our lives and what we can be grateful for, things shift.
There is also a wonderful hint at the saying that “Good is the enemy of great”. Anderson is complacent in his life as a womanizing bachelor with a comfortable job. However, he’s dissatisfied. He wants to achieve a deeper relationship with his colleague Emily, but he’s in a particular rut, that informs his behaviour and that’s why he is stuck where he’s at.
I enjoyed watching him come to a decision that catapulted him into “great”, something we can all learn from.
Unfortunately, the humour didn’t do it for me, so I was a little disappointed. I also found the lead up to the sex scene rather abrupt, not quite in tune with my feminine, romantic sensibilities.
CROAKS, TEARS AND HICCUPS
Omg, I was in stitches at the first two opening scenes already and spontaneously posted on my social media that even those alone were worth the money I’d paid for this book. But it didn’t stop there. Anderson, the flawed hunky hero with a phobia of small animals and a love for his colleague Emily is battling with a frog. At home. And loses his job over it and the woman he loves. Sounds tragic? Well, my cheeks were wet with free-flowing tears. But from laughter. I laughed so hard that I got hiccup from it. More than once. At the same time, you can feel the sweet caring regard for women that Anderson shows for Emily the author Lawrence Hall infuses into each line of the book as he leads you through one tumultuous drama after another. You’ll have sixpack abs when you’re done with THE FRIG AND THE LADY and your heart will have jolted in delight quite a few times as well. Best romcom I ever read!!!
The Frog and the Lady is a quirky and fun romantic comedy. I love that the author isn’t afraid to have the male lead be the center of the jokes. This book definitely doesn’t take itself too seriously and it encourages you to laugh at it and with it. I definitely chuckled and had full blown laughs throughout this book. If you’re looking for a light and quick read with a unique main character and an oddball sidekick then this is the book for you!
I recommend this book because it is 100 percent fresh and very original . I loved how Lawrence took this OCD Alpha Male and pit him against his worst nightmare and fear.
I received an ARC of “The Frog and the Lady” in exchange for my honest review.
In a sea of romantic suspense, I needed a few LOLs this fall *enter The Frog and The Lady*
Anderson is just a normal dude who happens to have the body of Adonis. At work he’s a star and he ranks high with the ladies … until a certain frog enters his life.
Emily is the perfect mix of sweet and sexy. She’s so much of a nerd, I’m not sure she knows how much of an effect she even has on Anderson.
The two finally collide in what appears to be the making of an HEA, but there is one thing in the way. It croaks. Has webbed feet. And will make you feel all kinds of ways for Anderson.
This is a perfect book to take your mind off the week and laugh out loud.

I love discovering new authors. I am always skeptical though because I never know what I’m going to get. I will tell you that this was one of the best. It’s not your typical romance but it’s so much more. I needed this! It’s hilarious! I don’t think I ever stopped laughing or smiling. It’s such a feel-good story and you will not be disappointed.
I am so glad the author provided a copy of this for my review. I cannot say enough good things and now I have another author on my list where I HAVE to read their stories. There is no going back now.

This short rom-com by Lawrence Hall is such a fun read!
I’ll start by saying it lives up to its comedy category, I laughed quite a bit, I’d dare say it leans towards the British side of humor (my kind of humor for sure).
Hall is fully aware of his character’s flaws, and even when they themselves aren’t the story is told in a way that we all know even Hall is making a bit of fun at their expense.
I think this is the first romance I’ve read written by a man, and it was refreshing to see the other gender tackle the whole BS alpha male trope going on in the romance book industry.
How does Hall like to say? He writes people, not men or women, I message I can firmly stand behind.
To be honest going into this book I seriously wasn’t sure what to expect, as Lawrence is a new author to me and the title was a bit different from any I’ve ever read. Well, let me just say don’t be fooled by the title, it is so much more!! From the very first page I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. Anderson is so quirky and too funny for words in his fear of small creatures. I seriously loved the Frog, he was my favorite! The story is such a fun, witty, and ridiculously entertaining story! Read and find out for yourself, I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.
I received an advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this. Lawrence is a new author to me.
A short, humorous read with a dash of steam and romance, I enjoyed it.
Anderson was amusing in his vanity and ridiculousness.
Emily was not a push over willing to stay quiet just to get the guy.
And the guy had some lessons to learn to get the girl. It was definitely pleasantly surprising.
A very enjoyable book over all.
I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I was giving an opportunity to read this ARC. A short tale about a woman, a man, and a frog. Yes I said frog. Now this story is a short read. I highly recommend this for a few reasons. First, if you’re in a book hangover this is perfect. If you have to wait in a pick up line for your kids or a doctors office, this is perfect. The book was hilarious and heartwarming story. Honestly the frog was my favorite lol. Seriously though Anderson has a few quirks that he is dealing with. Emily the leading lady knows how to put her foot down when something truly means something to her. They are both hot and passionate for each other, but also about different things that they might not get passed. Definitely check this book out, I promise the ending is truly worth it.
If you want to have a great read that would guarantee you a laugh out loud experience, then this is definitely the book for YOU!!
From chapter one after the “oh so funny events “ that Anderson experience after taking a lady home I was literally hook and couldn’t stop reading . And YES there is a Frog on this story that I think he is an “evil mastermind “ and it’s determined to make Anderson’s life impossible. Then we have Emily , she is an office coworker of Anderson and they have this insta connection and attraction but tried to fight it back at the beginning and you have to read the book to see what happens next !!!
The story it’s very entertaining, interesting and those sexy scenes . I definitely recommend reading this book and promise you’ll be laughing too .
