Rex Dalton and his best friend, Digger, the former military dog, are looking forward to a trouble-free holiday on the idyllic islands of Vanuatu in the South Pacific Ocean. Swimming, playing on the beach, fishing, and hikes. Nothing but the laid-back lifestyle for the two of them. Then Digger introduces Rex to a beautiful French girl, not once, but twice. Soon, Rex and the girl become good … become good friends. Then she disappears, and Rex is accused of having something to do with it.
Thus, begins a series of dramatic and life-threatening events with international repercussions with Rex, Digger and the French girl in the center of it.
THE FRENCH GIRL is a full-length novel, a nail-biting thriller by best-selling author JC Ryan. It is the sixth book in the electrifying new Rex Dalton series.

Thoroughly enjoyed it
Even though I only clicked on this book because French was my Major in college, so the title obviously caught my eye; I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed reading The French Girl. The author’s expertise at character development greatly added to the interesting, intriguing plot which was brought to life with exciting interactions and skirmishes with numerous “bag guys” in vividly described beautiful settings all over the world. In fact, I couldn’t believe how quickly I became invested in the main hero and heroine of the story. However, I was virtually immediately besotted with the 3rd main character – this one noticeable due to his fur ~ Digger, Rex’s incredibly intelligent, military trained canine! If I am honest with myself, and you, I do believe Digger is my favorite character of them all. Actually, this book would definitely make a fantastic movie… but ONLY IF they could successfully complete the daunting task of finding a real dog that could capture the essence ~ both the fierce and the comical aspects ~ of Digger.
The dog character was a nice touch.
I have read several of JC Ryan’s books. He never disappoints.
A great mystery.
The hero and his dog meet a wonderful French woman while on vacation. They strike up a friendship. The woman disappears one day without a trace. The hero being ex-special forces, tracks her down and rescues her from the Russians. I loved how the dog was woven into the story and helps with the skullduggery.
Great read! This book was a first for me; first time reading JC Ryan and first time reading an action packed warrior series. It was hard to put the book down and I completed it in record time.
I really liked Rex Dalton’s character and especially his dog Digger. Not my usual read as I enjoy romance, historical fiction, and contemporary fiction but I will definitely read more in the series. The French Girl was definitely action packed!
Good story. if Dalton got rid of the dog it would even be better!
very enjoyable
This is a very good read, don’t miss it!
I fell in love with Rex Dalton and Digger. Rex is honorable, dependable and capable; a fantasy that can only be found in fiction. But I think it might be possible to find Digger’s counterpart in reality.
I enjoy this series…
What an imaginative writer! Wonderful continuation of Rex and Digger’s travels and escapades.
Excellent thriller.
Love Rex Dalton and his dog, Digger. Enjoy.
enjoyed the quirky and innovative mind set
Love this! I want a dog like Digger.
A terrific action thriller. Rex Dalton is a character that lights up the pages, honest, honorable and courageous. Like Jack Reacher and John Puller a force of nature not to be trifled with. This is a fast paced plot with intriguing characters that I couldn’t put down.
Enjoying this character. Easy read
hard to get into I read a book a week this took a bit I eventually gave up and moved on
