This is a fantastic read. Its fast paced and action packed. With the Supernatural, its a real page turner. I love the storyline and how well the Characters are brought out. The Author has written an epic read. I definitely recommend.

Book 1 was a bit of a disappointment, so book 2 has been an improvement on the story. More action, more romance, characters are established so it leaves more room for story development. I was surprised and somewhat alarmed that the author did not include a trigger warning at the beginning of her book about rape. It’s not graphic or in detail, but even her way of skirting the topic could be enough to upset someone. It made me squirm, and I’m a bit more relaxed with my reading than some.
Unfortunately by the end, the conflict has amped up, but nothing seems resolved. Vee grows more comfortable in her situation or “harem” of men that she’s connected to, but the big mystery in the story is no closer to being resolved which leaves more emptiness for the reader. And there’s a massive cliffhanger. I enjoyed reading the banter and challenge between Vee and Xander the most. By now, Swallow differentiated the personalities of each of the guys and she does a good job separating each one to make it interesting. It’s not bad for a Reverse Harem and I appreciate that the attraction between the guys and Vee is somewhat out of their hands. It’s not a decision they can really make; they’re just drawn to each other. But it’s not enough to change my mind about not enjoying Reverse Harems.
Hot Horsemen
Vee is one lucky girl. She’s got 4 hot horsemen to deal with. Learning about who she is, what she’s apart of and how important she is to the 4 horsemen throws her for several loops. With enemies lurking about causing death and destruction it’s up to the newly formed team of 5 horsemen to put a stop to it. Fighting supernaturals might be a piece of cake compared to fighting physical and emotional connections to each of the hot horsemen.
Oh WOW!!! I was pulled in from the beginning! Fabulous paranormal/fantasy world, I absolutely love this series of books, the action starts slowly and builds, The characters are well defined early on and blossom throughout the series, you can feel the tension building between the main characters early in the series which develop wonderfully as each book progresses. Very well written storey. There are no cliff hangers as such but each book always leaves you wanting more so be warned though once you start reading this series you won’t be able to put the books down so be prepared for some binge reading.
LJ Swallow’s ‘The Four Horsemen’ series was my first foray into reverse harem. Totally enjoying the series and I am very much looking forward to reading more of Swallow’s work.
I loved this one! We got more Xander in this one which was great, I love the tension between him and Vee. We also got to see more of Verity and her powers and she learns more about herself. I love the story and sexual tension, I can’t wait for more!
The second book in The Four Horsemen story picks up exactly where it left off. Vee has been shocked to her core, and I really like that she starts to find herself in this book. She’s been spunky and sarcastic, but she starts to realise that she’s strong, physically, and that translates into a mental strength, even if she doesn’t really realise it. We start to see more of Ewan and Xander in this book, even if it means not seeing as much of Heath or Joss, but I think they’re the two characters that are more puzzling, so it’s going to take Vee more time. Again, my only gripe isn’t really a gripe – it’s a bit short for me, but it just means that it’s straight onto book 3.
“Bound” was even better than “Legacy”. There was more character development in this story, which I always appreciate. You never want characters to be so simple that you learn everything about them in the first book.
There was definitely more romance and more of the reverse harem theme in this book. Vee’s first sexual encounter was not with who I thought it would be so I’m interested to see how Book 3 plays out. “Bound” was a great start to the romance of this story and is for mature audiences only, unlike Book 1.
Vee learns so much about herself from one day to the next. At the night club she’s naïve in what she thinks she can handle, but by the time they have the house fight she’s able to protect herself much better. I can’t wait for Book 3 to see what else she can do!
A thrilling, addictive read!

Holy cow! Vee’s journey, together with the horsemen, continue but is filled with reveals, chaos and danger. Such a sexy, thrilling and addictive read. Once I started, I knew I couldn’t put it down until I finished the book and oh, boy, was it so damn excellent.
Such brilliant writing and the story is magnificent. The story is an original concept of the horsemen and a new horsewomen with a romance twist – so loving it! Excited for the next installment.
Full of demons, Fae, the Horsemen, vampires, various other supernatural creatures, danger, bonds, attraction, action and adventure.
Perfect for readers of paranormal reverse harem romances.
