In this bittersweet regency romance by USA TODAY bestselling and HOLT Medallion winning author BREE WOLF, a determined wife and a doubting husband come to realize that the heart never forgets…not truly.
CATHERINE EVERETT, COUNTESS OF HARRINGTON, is happy…deliriously happy. Married to the man who stole her heart not yet a year ago, she wakes every morning with a smile on her face, knowing that … knowing that life has never been sweeter. Every day the dazzling spark in her husband’s blue eyes sweeps her off her feet and his kiss steals the breath from her lungs just like it did the very first time he pulled her into his arms.
And then one wintry morning William is thrown from his horse…and the memory of their love is wiped from his mind.
Waking in his chambers with a pounding pain in his head, WILLIAM EVERETT, EARL OF HARRINGTON, glimpses the blurred image of a woman he’s never seen before. A woman his brother tells him is his wife. Only William cannot remember. Not her face nor her name. Not the day they first met nor the moment they vowed to be husband and wife.
Devastated, Catherine fears nothing more than to see duty and obligation in those blue eyes that have always shone with love. She retreats, close to giving up, when her sister suggests a daring plan. A plan that will free William from any obligation to love a woman he cannot remember while allowing him to lose his heart to her all over again.
But what if he doesn’t?
“The story had intrigue, slight betrayal, scheming, discoveries, surprises, love, and a happily-ever-after. This book is for those who believe anything is possible where love is concern.” – Janie_tx, AMAZON REVIEW
“I totally fell in love with this book. I love that siblings would go to extremes to make sure that their loved ones are happy. I also love the way Bree added little twists and turns and that give character to the story.” – Linda C, AMAZON REVIEW
“As is her way, Bree Wolf will captivate the heart of females from nine to ninety. You may feel unsure she’s able to get her main characters through the mess they’ve gotten into, but when she does it will melt your heart.” – M2, AMAZON REVIEW

The was a very unique story. The clever plan to recreate a romance lost to amnesia was very well done. I loved the characters. They were brave and imaginative. Both main characters had to persevere in their quest for a happy ending. I would recommend this book.
REALITY JUMPS IN!!!
Man, this is one fantastic read. Going from not knowing what’s happening to sadness in the blink of an eye. Bree puts a refreshing spin on this bad boy. You might want to grab a little tissue. A strong plot with damaged dreams really brings this tale to a most surprising romance. The characters are excellent along with their personalities playing off of each other in synchronizing way. The scenes are graphically detailed. The twists and turns really keep you on your toes. Bree did a fantastic job bringing this read to life before your eyes. Great job Bree, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.

I received a free copy of the clean historical novel The Forgotten Wife: A Regency Romance (A Forbidden Love Novella Series Book 3) by Bree Wolf and this review was given freely.
The Forgotten Wife is a well written clean Historical Romance. It is a warmhearted romance providing you with 2 romances. It covers the story of Catherine and William reconnecting despite the help of their siblings. It also gives you hints at the budding romance between Christine and Wesley. I agree with the Author. I received and read An Unwelcome Proposal before reading The Forgotten Wife. They are best if read in order. If you are just starting the series, I would highly recommend a box set to allow easy flow from one novel to the next.
Best if read in series order.
He lost his memories of the past five years but one thing I loved about this story was that he fell in love again with his wife. I loved the times they shared, the activities they loved doing together, in the present that made him fall in love with her all over again. Very enjoyable.
This is a story about Catherine and William a married couple madly in love until William is thrown from his horse upon waking he finds the past 5 years gone with no memory of being married. Follow the sometimes sad and desperate couple as he tries to recall his lost love.
The third book in this series, it was an interesting approach to dealing with amnesia. When Will fails to recognise his wife, Catherine is devastated and her sister suggests a plan to take the pressure off both Will and Catherine. However, the plan backfires to some extent and leaves Will feeling even more confused. The story had a good flow of language and story line, but I was uncomfortable with the approach adopted by Will’s well meaning family to assist him in regaining his memory. Ultimately, he doesn’t recall the last five years, but his heart does remember Catherine. Although this book is part of a series and some of the characters in previous books appear in this one too, it is nevertheless a standalone. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Seems like every time I read one of Bree Wolf’s stories it becomes my favorite one.
This particular one resonated on my heart strings as I read how a husband lost his memories of the last 5 years after an accident and he also seems to have lost the love he had for his wife, not that he can even remember having married her nor loving her.
His sister-in-law hatches a plan to reawaken his feelings for his wife, but will this work? You will have to read this stand-alone novella to find out.
The story is beautifully written with deep and strong characters, each one playing a crucial and brilliant part to make the story come alive.
I really did enjoy this book thoroughly and recommend it so that you too can be pleasantly entertained should you choose to read it.
I received a free copy of this novella from the author and this is my voluntary and unbiased review.
