A tragic accident turns into a beautiful love story! Characters are real, action
Moves smoothly! Love this book!!
I have learned a lot about Amish life & have enjoyed this book so much.
The Forgotten Recipe is one of four in a series, I have read the full series. All are enjoyable reads and hated for the series to end. The younger generation finds a lost recipe of a grandmother who is passed away and it is a hit in their stand near the road and on their table. If you enjoy any of the amish novels you will enjoy this series.
Death puts an end to Veronica’s engagement. In her grief she believes she will never love again. Seeking something to do Veronica discovers some old family recipes and begins to make raspberry pies to sell. The delicious pies draw Jason’s attention. He wants to court Veronica. Will she allow her broken heart to thaw or will she continue in her grieving?
The up and downs of Amish dating abound in this book. Love lost & love found leave the reader on edge. Loved the characters, & the book.
Wonderful story. Will read it again.
What a fun book to read! What a resourceful young lady Veronica was in finding solace after losing her fiance in a tragic accident. Jason falls in love not only Raspberry pies but, Veronica. He just left out a few details that caught up with him later in the storyline.
I really liked this book. I did post a review to goodreads and Amazon if you care to look it up.
A good clean read
Love to read about the Amish life.
It you enjoy a lighthearted easy read that is inspirational and romatic, you will love this book.
Rather predictable plot, rather slow moving
What a wonderful read. Veronica lost her financee is lost to a bad accident at work and she is grieving and trying to overcome her feeling of loss. And then there is Jason, he was Seth’s co-worker and friend and felt like he knew Veronica because of how much Seth talked about her. He attends the funeral and was going to talk to her but her family was around her because she almost passed out and had a time finding her when he does find her she had found her grandmother’s recipes and one was for Raspberry Pie and they have become famous. He can’t talk to her the first time but he feels a connection and can’t tell her. There ups and down with both of them dealing with their grief. I loved the book.
This was a very relaxing and easy-to-read story.
I went out and bought a Raspberry Pie. Shows how not wanting to hurt people by what they need or want to know will hurt them, others and yourself.
Took this with me on vacation, so picked it up once a day or so and enjoyed the light reading, enough suspense to keep your attention and a happily ever after ending….I like that kind!
Good, clean reading.
I loved the story and it was hard to put it down.
I enjoyed reading this book a lot.
I enjoy reading Amish / Mennonite stories that do not portray them harshly. I’ve read this author before and really enjoy her books.
