Absolutely adore this book that goes back and forth between present and past, how each characters life falls into place and every wrong from the past comes full circle and is righted.
The writing is superb. A journey of words.
I absolutely fell in love with this book. It left me wanting to read all of Kate Morton’s books. Such beautiful words. I thought several times I had figured it out, to find I hadn’t. Loved it to the end and then I was sad it was over. Must read.
Lyrical writing, masterful control of multiple timelines and viewpoints. Amazing story.
Another great Kate Morton read. A little bit of mystery mixed in with historical fiction. I always feel like I travel back in time when I read Kate Morton’s work.
This book traces the story of a character as she searches for the truth of her identity. There are numerous twists and turns, both unexpected and inevitable, that kept me turning the pages, always returning to my own world only very reluctantly. Numerous characters contribute to flesh out the story as the reader is moved from Australia to England, from several different time-frames and even generations but all are necessary to reach the final, satisfactory conclusion.
I have read and loved all of Kate’s books.
Great book and story line
Loved this book. I read it a few years ago and I still think back on it at times. My daughters all loved it too. Just beautiful!
