Twelve years ago, Claire Porter thought her entire life was over when she learned that her husband, Dave, was having an affair with a young college student. Following their divorce, Claire started over, including changing back to her maiden name of Conway.Claire now feels pretty good about her accomplishments. She has raised a wonderful son, Dakota; enjoys her work; and finally has a new love. … new love. When Dakota informs her that he is engaged, she looks forward to meeting his fiancée, even as she wonders if 31-year-old Sara Jennings is too old for her “little” six-foot-plus boy.
Secrets never stay buried long, and only God can help Claire find forgiveness when betrayal comes back to haunt her.

I thought it was different and I loved the theme of forgiveness.
stayed up very late to finish this book
A very unique plot that I can’t imagine ever happening. Still a good story with a Christian background.
This book was so interesting in the way it was written. It seemed loosely woven in the beginning, drawing me further and deeper into the story as I read along. All of a sudden I found myself fully immersed, thinking, “Wow! What a great read!” I definitely enjoyed this novel!
The story of unforgiveness and then forgiveness is so true. We hurt ourselves when we hold grudges and bitterness in our hearts.
The characters was almost to realistic (no Christians I know would act like these) was my thoughts as I finish the book but I can’t stop talking about the story to family and friends.
I like it very much
This was an amazing book that reveals the loving and forgiving character of God. I felt that the author truly understood bitterness, betrayal and anger.
Well written but it moved rather slowly I thought. Claire was a bit much with her bitterness. Dakota was a very likable character.
Shows how forgiveness is sometimes very hard but definitely worth it.
I loved this book. It related to my life and helped remind me to forgive myself for past mistakes.
Very relatable story & characters with wonderful Christian message of forgiveness!
It was a little slow moving, but had a great message.
A great book on how to forgive! Touched my soul! A must read for those of us that have been hurt or wronged! Wish I could rate it higher!!!
This is a great book about being forgiving in horrible surcomstances. It would be hard to forgive but we are called to forgive. I loved this book!
This book was one of the first books I read by Robin Lee Hatcher. A more real story of the battle with forgiveness would be hard to find. A husband who falls in love with a younger woman whose paths cross in a most difficult way. I recall reading from start to finish hardly taking a break. It strongly affected me.
A very unusual story of hurt, faith, romance and finally forgiveness that could easily be true. You are caught up with the lives of 3 main characters. You can identify and understand the thoughts of each person as they each have to work their way through an unbelievable twist of fate.
Another wonderful book by Robin Lee. She is a wordsmith of the finest level. Loved this book.
Great author, great book!
I wasn’t sure about reading this book but now that a read it I glad I did. Forgiveness is not easy. This made me look at areas in my life. I think if you give this a try you will not be disappointed.
