When Dakota informs her that he is engaged, she looks forward to meeting his fiancée, even as she wonders if 31-year-old Sara Jennings is too old for her “little” six-foot-plus boy.

The most difficult relationships were healed by following God’s Word
I loved it. Couldn’t put it down!
Well written, good characters. Drives home the point that God’s grace is for everyone, and you must choose to forgive, or destroy yourself by wrapping yourself in hate and bitterness.
Such a good book about hate and forgiveness.
I loved how Robin Lee Thatcher wrote in such a way that I cared about each of the characters, for Mike/Dakota, Claire, Sara and the others. She clearly wrote about how much pain is caused or how much pain we hold on to through the choices that we make. Robin writes the gritty truth about who we are as humans and who we can be if we will trust in God who loves us more than we can truly understand! Great book!
This was one of her best books when she started writing Christian. You will not be sorry if you buy this book. Great read!
This was a great story fyyk over fm
My first read of her’s. Very well written. Interesting characters and story line. Really enjoyed it!
Inspirational and informative enjoyed very much
This was a good story, which I had never thought of before. Very original. It’s sad, how bitterness and anger from a divorce can change a person, and their children. This was a wonderful story of how God can change lives, how forgiveness can make a person whole again.
Honestly, not what I expected when I picked it up. However I’m glad I read it. It is a good lesson in forgiveness. Gives you hope in mankind in that we have the ability to forgive, to love and grow.
Excellent story, characters and I loved the way she used Scripture to bring out the importance of forgiving!
Forgiveness is something all struggle with, and this book is a beautiful story of God’s forgiveness and our ability to forgive through God’s love. This book truly touched my heart.
Bizarre situation. I tried to put myself in the shoes of each character. How would I react? I would like to think forgiveness and understanding would be my reaction. Not so sure. Good read. Kept my attention for the most part.
Very interesting plot
A well told story about adultery divorce and raising a child as a single parent. The mothers struggle with forgiveness and redemption. Enjoyed the references to scripture throughout the book and how the Holy Spirit touched their lives and brought about healing.
Disappointing read. The theme of forgiveness was good but how the characters found God’s forgiveness was not. Mikey was the only one to get help from a Pastor. I found it hard to believe that Claire, as a new Christian, did not get help from a Pastor or Bible Study group. Sara didn’t reach out to her church for help either. For all her family’s church involvement, only attending services was mentioned. Church is more than that and I feel this book did a disservice to what being a part of Church is.
BEST I”VE READ IN A WHILE
This is a book about forgiving the seemingly impossible to forgive. A true picture of God’s love for us and why He sent His Son Jesus to die on a cross for us. We are a needy people and we have a BIG GOD.
It’s hard to forgive some things. Harder when it’s justified and deep bitterness has taken root. This story examines how hurt people, who can’t forgive, hurt even the people they love the most. It also demonstrates how God can assist us in the forgiveness process to become whole again.
