Shadowvale isn’t your typical small town America. The sun never shines, the gates decide who enters, magic abounds, and every resident bears some kind of curse. Werewolf Virginia “Ginny” French’s curse means no one can remember her. Not even for as long as it takes to ring up her groceries or make her favorite iced coffee. And being that forgettable has turned her life into an incredibly lonely … lonely existence. So much so, she’s thinking about doing something really wild just to entertain herself.
Werewolf Ezekiel “Easy” Grayle loved his life until he got struck by lightning and lost control of his shifting abilities. It’s led to some uncomfortable situations – and the decision to move to a town where the unpredictable is acceptable.
He didn’t realize just how acceptable until he catches his hot but maybe-crazy neighbor sneaking out of his pool in a barely-there bikini. He’s too busy unpacking to pursue her, but when she comes knocking, all bets are off.
Can a forgettable woman ever find love or is her curse too much for even the most determined man to overcome?

The Forgettable Miss French, Kristen Painter’s Third in her Shadowvale Series.
What can I say about Shadowvale? If you’ve experienced Ms. Painter’s Nocturne Falls, you can’t help but love it, and you will absolutely enjoy Shadowvale as well. Shadowvale is the place that doesn’t exist, but if you’re different, have a curse or two, maybe Supernatural in some way, it will take you in and make you at home.
Miss French is cursed into being unforgettable. For ten years. Imagine always having to explain yourself in public? New in town? Passing through? Who ordered this?
Easy was struck by lightning, and since then, not only can he not always control when he shifts, he also can’t control what he shifts into. Yorkers are adorable, but not so much when you are a Werewolf.
When the two meet, passion sizzles as sparks fly, and there’s no telling what will happen next. Another incredible 5 star read.
Werewolf Ginny French is cursed to be forgettable. As soon as someone walks away from her they forget her. For 10 years she has been a resident of Shadowvale and while she knows everyone, no one knows her. Until she meets her hot new neighbor who actually remembers her.
I love Painter’s books. They are fun, unique, and always fascinating. Shadowvale is a hidden and fascinating town filled with paranormals and cursed people. I really liked Ginny. Her curse of fogettability is so unique that I was addicted by the end of the first chapter. While forgettability may seem like fun, you quickly realize how lonely and exhausting it is for Ginny. I loved how she has learned to live with her curse and make the best of it. Ginny was a unique and determined heroine that I just couldn’t help but love.
Ezekiel “Easy” was a great hero. I loved that he was a writer because the majority of romances I have read have had female writers. Easy’s curse is also unique in that he has been changing into different creatures instead of his wolf. Easy was a kind and protective hero that didn’t let his curse stop him from jumping into danger. These two were adorable together and I couldn’t get enough of them.
I really can’t wait to read the next book of this series. I hope to see more of these two in future books of the series. Also can Seymore please show up in future books too! I really want more pie eating Seymore.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
Because of a curse, people can’t remember Ginny at all.
She lived in Shadowvale for many years, but nobody remembers Ginnys as being part of the community.
Ezekiel was struck by lightning which affected his shifting.
However, he is the only is immune to Ginny’s curse.
What does that mean for Ginny ?
Ginny + Ezekiel joins forces to try to reverse the curse
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I like the theme of the Shadowvale books, and Ms. Painter is really hitting her stride with this one! Good story, I read it in two days. I liked the main characters, Ginny and Easy, and the odd twist of their curses made this one very interesting. I liked the pace of how the romance developed in this story better than the first two books. The first two were good stories, but the romance seemed awfully fast. I hope there will be more to this series as it seems to be getting better with every book.
