Cassai is taken by Devilan, knowing she will be forced to marry him when they reach the Inner Kingdom. Elian and Hollis band together and plan to get her back with the help of the Fairy Queen. The fey powers are strong, possibly strong enough to defeat even the deadly Koninjka, but there is a cruel twist. Elian strikes a bargain for the life of Cassai, but it could cost him everything in the end.
Today I’m reviewing The Fontré
(Chronicles of Lashai Book 2)
by Julien Jamar
I loved it!
I’m so delighted to have gotten to read the 2nd book in this series! If you love Fantasy like I do, you’ll appreciate the world building skills of this author.
She has brought us a beautifully filled out world with characters you’ll fall in love with (or love to hate!)
I wholly and heartily recommend this series! Well done!
If you are looking for a great fantasy read to dive into, look no further. I read (and loved) The Namarielle last year (book one of this three part series) and I started reading The Fontre at about 10am one day and completed the book by 11:30pm the same day because I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. It was fantastically written, engaging, emotional, epic—it was awesome and I had to find out what happened next. The only problem I currently have is that now I must wait for book three. In all seriousness, if you are into the fantasy genre in the slightest—check this series out!
I absolutely could not put this book down! Julien hit another home run for sure!! I got next to nothing accomplished while reading this – I was totally absorbed in saving Lashai! <3
Fantastic read! It was a struggle to put the book down to get anything else done, haha! I loved it!
It does not dissapoint!
It is a dark, sometimes uncomfortable, yet thrilling symbolism of life. Hard issues are addressed but hope and forgiveness are also given . The Light that shines in the darkness. Help, healing, compassion and true love on it’s way to overcoming Evil.
Leaves you hanging…yet..it doesn’t.
Cannot wait for the next book in the series!!
Format: Paperback
As a mother of three young children it is very hard to find time to read. This is the second book to a trilogy and I made time, maybe sometimes more time then a probably should lol. These books engulf you into the story and you feel like you are actually there, one of the characters living the story. Getting away from realty for a time and having an adventure as someone else. I highly recommend this book along with the first one The Namarielle.
Love these books!!!! This is my first time reading a series as it comes out. Every series I’ve read all the books are already out. I think the suspense and wait between the books has definitely added to the excitement. I love how the books are captivating and still something I can share with my kids. Thank you Julian for creating this world for us to enjoy!!!!
This book was fantastic! Julien Jamar takes you even further into the land of Lashai, meeting new characters and old enemies along the way. And as all great sequels do, The Fontre dives even deeper into the lives of the characters we came to love in The Namarielle. You won’t be disappointed with either of these books.
This novel is like the first, it’s a page turner. You won’t want to put it down. You discover more about the different realms and more detail of the characters. More captivating detail and it keeps you reeled into the story. I highly recommend this book!
