A New York Times bestselling standalone novel. My tempting and very alpha friend Sterling Quinn is someone I consider off-limits.It’s not just that we’re friends, he’s also cocky, confident, and British, which means he’s a walking aphrodisiac. But lately he’s been giving me the look. You know the one. When he thinks I’m not paying attention, and his gaze lingers for too long. When we start working … lingers for too long.
When we start working together, that’s when the sexual tension between us gets so thick, I want to hack through it with a machete. I want to make all these deep feelings I’ve harbored for him disappear, because there’s no way this can end well.
The lines between business and pleasure become irrevocably blurred, and I’m stuck between a rock and Sterling’s very, very hard place.
Rather than keep a level head about our growing attraction, Sterling wants to go all in, showing me just how explosive we can be together.
But I’ve been around long enough to know that this British bad boy is more than my heart can handle. I’m not about to be cast aside like yesterday’s underwear when he’s done having fun.
Sterling’s never been told no, and he’s not about to put his ego aside and play by my rules. But I never thought he’d fight so dirty.
more
Sterling Quinn thought he’d never get married. He’s a successful divorce lawyer and seen the shadier side of marriage. He’s about to inherit millions but there’s one catch: he has to get married within six months or he forfeits it all. Suddenly, he’s being hounded by women and the media. When his uncle hires the very luscious Camryn to handle everything, he thought he could handle it. But the more time he spends with Camryn, his heart starts falling for her. He’s got to get his head in the game because, while he could see himself spending the rest of his life with Camryn, he needs the inheritance to take care of his mum. Can he put aside his feelings for Camryn or will he marry the Fix Up she chooses for him?
Sterling is everything a woman wants and with a British accent, women everywhere will swoon over The Fix Up. Sure, he’s cocky but he has a heart of gold and vows to take care of his mum suffering from dementia. Camryn is a successful businesswoman who has her fair share of insecurities which only made me connect with her more.
What makes this a must-read? The romance is slow-burn but the sexual tension is immediate. The hero is British (man, I love a British hero) who drops everything to take care of his mum. The heroine aims to be professional but certain urges can’t be denied. The ending totally made me cry. I was sad when it ended because I was so attached to the characters. A must read!
My Rating: 5 stars
Very sexy read. Loved it. Hooked from beginning to end.
Good read. Thanks.
This was a quick, entertaining, yet forgettable romance. I was engaged in the story and characters while it happened, but honestly, it was just a nice escape, but nothing I’d read again. It was just okay and entertaining, nothing special.

(Dual POVs)
Sterling (Noah’s best friend from the hitched series) is notified that a distant relative passes away, leaving Sterling millions of dollars in his will with the condition that, you guessed it, Sterling gets married. Camryn is hired by Sterling’s uncle to help Sterling find a wife.
Sterling knows what, or who, he wants almost from the very beginning and I loved the fact that he immediately goes after her, Camryn. Even though Sterling is confident in what he wants, I really appreciated that he wasn’t too cocky. He actually comes off as being a bit of a softie and is pretty sweet in pulling out all the stops to try to woo Camryn. I even saw him as being a gentleman, especially when he references Noah and Olivia’s wedding and how he was attracted to Camryn then, but didn’t take advantage of her since he knew she wasn’t a one night stand type of girl. As it turns out, Sterling realizes he doesn’t want to be a one night stand kinda guy anymore and soon Camryn isn’t the only one yearning for a true, deep connection with someone.
I thought the conflict at the end was kind of silly, and had some twists that were odd and I wasn’t expecting, but I’m glad it didn’t completely throw this couple off track and they were able to resolve things fairly easily and quickly.
Favorite Quotes:
”Say yes,” he murmurs.
“Sterling…”
“I would never hurt you,” he adds softly.
“but when I think of being married, the only woman I see standing beside me as I make those vows is you.” -Sterling
If you already read ‘Hitched’ that means you are not foreign to Sterling and Camryn. The book is written from dual POV so it gives you the chance to get to know the main characters better. ‘The Fix Up’ is a spinoff from the ‘Hitched’ series but it also can be read as a standalone.
Again it all starts because of a will Sterling is a successful lawyer, who is a sexy British playboy. He finds out that his mother’s grandfather left him millions of dollars but there is a catch, he has to get married in six months in order to receive the inheritance. This is where Camryn comes in to play. She is a public relations expert and Sterling’s uncle hires her in order to find a suitable candidate for him to get married. Camryn is beautiful, feisty, smart and a die-hard romantic who believes in happily ever afters.
Sterling is Nate’s (Hitched’s hero) best friend and Camryn is Olivia’s (Hitched’s heroine) best friend, during Olivia and Nate’s wedding they had a moment and everyone around them could see the chemistry and attraction between the two. But Sterling knew that Camryn is not a no strings attached sex material and he wasn’t looking for something more so he decided not to start anything with her. But now that they are spending a lot of time together, it gets harder for Sterling to stay away from her. Getting to know each other more, they get really close and sexual chemistry between them is off the charts. I loved the banter between them and some parts were hilarious.
It is a sexy, funny story that you can easily read in one sitting. If you enjoyed reading ‘Hitched’, then you’ll absolutely enjoy reading ‘The Fix Up’.

The Fix Up was a stand-alone by Kendall Ryan.
The storyline premise ensured it was a lighthearted plot – playboy bachelor gains a millionaire inheritance as long as he marries. Females of all ages come out of the woodwork to gain his attention for the position.
Sterling Quinn was said bachelor. He was a well known New York divorce attorney, gorgeous and famous for hook ups – casual sex, nothing serious. He was confident, arrogant and commitment adverse.
Camryn Palmer was a New York Public Relations Executive. She was also tasked with developing and executing a plan for Sterling’s newfound mandate.
Sterling and Camryn met through mutual friends. They had always been attracted to each other but remained distant until now when they began working together. Ryan took us through the attraction and their attempts to keep it platonic.
In the end, The Fix-Up was lighthearted, and some what predictable but fun and entertaining as well. It was the perfect book to read in between dark or serious themes.
Camryn and Sterling were a really cute couple. I liked the passion they had and the fact that they trained to fight it for so long. It was sweet and sexy, had spots that had me chuckling and just was an all around way read from start to finish. I need to go see if their best friends have a book that I don’t know about because I really like them and if they do I plan to read about them getting their HEA. 4 stars #2OCCJD
Sterling Quinn a British playboy who is a divorce attorney who doesn’t believe in true love. Who finds himself needing to get married to obtain his inheritance. Camryn Palmer who is all about true love. She was hired to be a PR to help Sterling find a wife.
Trying to fight chemistry and sexual tension between them they end up finding love together.
Boy these two, they killed me. Feeling the same thing for one another the whole time and both to dang stubborn to just say how they feel and what they want. They had such a chemistry you couldn’t denie. Such a great book. Some really sexy scenes and super sweet moments. Unexpected love is always great. This books was equally frustrating and awesomely sweet. I loved it so much. Definitely recommend it to all.
I Loved this book!!! In love with the beautiful, talented author.
I listened to it on Audible and I’m going to listen to it again!!
Enjoyed reading this action packed book
This was a good book! I cannot wait to keep reading more of Kendall Ryan’s books.
Not her best but still very good.
Inheritance on the line, he needs to wed. She needs to find his future wife. Their chemistry is insane, their personalities complimentary, their ideas on love absolutel opposites.
She wants that forever. He is a divorce attorney who believes forever is a thing made up by Disney. Close quarters and great conversations make blurred lines and troublesome discoveries.
Kendall Ryan gives us a sexy and teasing tale of friends to more. Oh and I forgot to mention…He Is BRITISH!!! (Accent…sigh. wipes drool)
Okay, I Love this amazingly gifted Author!!! I listened to it on Audible, and I loved it and laughed withing the first minute of the book!!
I have never read a witty, contemporary romance before, and I’m so very happy Ms. Kendall’s The Fix Up is it!
Sterling, a super sexy Englishman, living in the states. He is a successful divorce lawyer. He finds out he has inherited millions of the dollars, but their is a stipulation! He has to get married and he has 6 months to do so in order to inherit the money.
In comes beautiful Camryn, she works for her friend PR business, and she know Sterling (I Love his name). She is hired to work with him and help him find a suitable bride. But, in the process they become attracted to each other, and it just makes things complicated for Camryn.
I highly recommend this book! I super loved it, enjoyed it, especially listening to it, and Sterling’s sexy voice with Camryn’s!! Ms. Kendall your narrators performed amazingly!
This book was a bit repetitive and the plot stumbled a bit because it was slow moving. I like Ms Ryan and read her books but I had to take breaks away from this book. The characters indecisiveness and inability to speak their minds drove me crazy. Why couldn’t they marry? It was a non-issue and made the story line stall. I enjoyed that the writing was done well with no spelling or typographical errors, which drive me insane. The story idea was great but the repeated lament “We can’t marry” was just too much. By the way, who says they “went all the way” anymore? I bet even teenagers don’t use it.
The book was ok. The ending of the book was the best. In my opinion, the book was a little to drawn out.
Really sweet characters. The encounters between Camryn and Sterling are witty, romantic and steamy. It is adorable how much Sterling loves his mum!
Great story and well-written.
