A New York Times bestselling standalone novel. My tempting and very alpha friend Sterling Quinn is someone I consider off-limits.It’s not just that we’re friends, he’s also cocky, confident, and British, which means he’s a walking aphrodisiac. But lately he’s been giving me the look. You know the one. When he thinks I’m not paying attention, and his gaze lingers for too long. When we start working … lingers for too long.
When we start working together, that’s when the sexual tension between us gets so thick, I want to hack through it with a machete. I want to make all these deep feelings I’ve harbored for him disappear, because there’s no way this can end well.
The lines between business and pleasure become irrevocably blurred, and I’m stuck between a rock and Sterling’s very, very hard place.
Rather than keep a level head about our growing attraction, Sterling wants to go all in, showing me just how explosive we can be together.
But I’ve been around long enough to know that this British bad boy is more than my heart can handle. I’m not about to be cast aside like yesterday’s underwear when he’s done having fun.
Sterling’s never been told no, and he’s not about to put his ego aside and play by my rules. But I never thought he’d fight so dirty.

Oh! How much I swooned with this one!
This book played with my heartstrings, and as if that weren’t enough, for a moment there it played a little bit with my mind as well.
Sterling is such a dreamy man. I fell in love with him instantly. I absolutely loved how, even when he has a bad opinion on marriage and love based on his work experience, he doesn’t hesitate to open up and give love a try. He’s a determined, smart, caring and humbling man. I could feel the love for his mother, his friends and for Cami, pouring out of the pages. It made my heart skip a beat. I love how hard he fights to get past his fear of failed relationships and give himself an opportunity to fall in love and conquer the woman he loves, Cami.
Camryn is such a strong and smart woman. She is an amazing heroine! She is admirable, determined to get her work done even when it’s the cause of her pain. She is loyal, funny and kind, so kind.
The chemistry between Sterling and Cami is everything! They are match made in heaven! Although the development of their relationship happens quickly, the moments of fear and doubt aren’t forgotten. I loved how passionate they are about each other and how easily the conversation flowed between them.
Sizzling, cute and heartwarming.
This is the book I was hoping for! Sterling is a British attorney who doesn’t believe in love. Camryn is a independent woman who works in public relations. They know each other through their friends Noah and Olivia who have a great story all their own (read Hitched volume 1-3). They have an attraction that neither will act on. Sterling knows Camryn deserves someone who believes in love. Camryn doesn’t think sexy Sterling is interested in her. Plus he has a playboy reputation. Then Sterling learns about a family inheritance he never knew of. The catch is that he needs marry in 6 months. Sterling makes plenty of money but the money will help give his mother the care she needs. His uncle hires Camryn to handle finding him a wife. At first it’s all business. Soon the attraction between them can’t be denied. But there are obstacles in their way, mostly themselves. I was on the edge of my seat the whole book. I just wanted them together! The attraction between them was so addicting. I loved them already from the books before. This story did not disappoint. I loved it so much. A must read for romance fans. Officially fans of steamy scenes. I definitely was blushing.
I really enjoyed this book, the characters were cute. I did find the story a bit predictable but its a romance and you do kind of expect the HEA
Great, light, enjoyable read. I often wonder how it is that some books carry you through so effortlessly, while others feel more like a slog, when they both use the same words. While not the deepest or most profound book I have ever read, it is nevertheless one of the most pleasant.
Well edited.
Sterling has a problem. He is set to inherit lots and lots of money if he can only meet one teensy tiny stipulation. Sterling needs a wife, and he needs her in 6 months. Only Sterling is a high-powered divorce attorney who doesn’t believe in marriage, and probably not love either. What’s a guy to do? Hire a PR firm to find himself a bride, of course. Enter Camryn – fantastic PR guru and friend of a friend. They’ve met before – at their mutual friends’ wedding. There was a spark of chemistry, but when Sterling saw that glimmer of a belief in true love in Camryn’s eyes, he walked away. Now, Camryn is going to find him a bride. Only, the more time Sterling spends with Camryn, the less sure he is that he wants her to succeed. What happens if Sterling falls for Camryn? Will he really open up to the possibility of love? Will he choose love over money? Will Camryn ever believe that he might want her instead of some perfect bachelorette? And if Camryn gives Sterling a chance, will everyone think she is just after the money?
This was a great afternoon read. Reading was effortless, and I found myself thinking I can’t believe I have read so much so fast! (Even if I am a book a day kinda girl!) If you need something to make you smile and pass some time, this is definitely a good option. Enjoy!
This has been a more enjoyable book that I really enjoyed by Kendall Ryan. I had yet to pick up one of her books that I really enjoyed, but The Fix Up was good. I loved each of the main characters, Sterling and Cami. Their chemistry is off the charts. I loved that there was more to Sterling than met the eye and that he was more thoughtful and caring than his manwhore persona showed. It was great seeing all the moments they spent together and seeing them fall in love with each other while Cami is trying to match him with women to marry.
Great story.
GREAT BOOK COULDN’T PUT IT DOWN
Loved it.
Fun story with adorable characters. Completely unrealistic, but that’s the point, isn’t it?
One of the premises of books that I like the most is where the two love interests have to marry and then they fall in love. It kinda borders on enemies to lovers and I like that as well. Well this one is close to those and that is why I was very interested in reading it. It has characters from the Hitched series but you do not need to read those to read this one. I was very excited about this book. I am a little disappointed to find out that the reason he has to get married is the same exact reason his friend Noah had to get married in the Hitched series. We still could have had the “have to get married” part but make the reason something else. This book was basically those but with other characters. They did know each other from being friends with Noah and Olivia but they have never dated before. I do think they had great chemistry and I really liked them as a couple. They had some great swoon worthy scenes. For me it’s just the story line I had a problem with.
I love Kendall’s writing and her books. I just wish the story line would have been more original in this book. I think this just boils down to “It’s me not you” and this book was just not for me. I know people will love this book and I will completely understand why. I recommend people read this if it sounds like something they will like.
Divorce lawyer Sterling Quinn’s soon gonna inherit millions but there’s a condition before he claims it. In six months, he needs to get married or he gets nothing. The day this has been announced, a flock of girls starts flying around Sterling, like birds catching the worm. Before everything gets out of hand, he lets his friend, PE Exec Camryn takes the wheel and help him find The One. Except, it looks like Cami may be the girl he’s destined to marry, but what if she’s only after his money, too?
I’ve always been fascinated with Kendal Ryan’s novels, whenever I read her stories, I couldn’t get up from my seat and refuse to budge until I finish the whole book. Characters like Sterling and Camryn heat up the scenes and make jaws drop up to the last page. The other bestfriend, Anna, really shocked me, she’s one heck of a lady and damn her for her nasty attitude. But hey, this is a Ryan book, so always expect the unexpected!
I love how the romance slowly heats up and the characters took the time to build a relationship. I loved reading both Camryn’s and Sterling’s narratives, it made me understand them more than just guessing what the other could be thinking. I love their chemistry and companionship, and yes, the hot sexy scenes! I love that the Fix Up wasn’t only sultry and alluring, it was also funny and intoxicating. Kendall Ryan always delivers!
Great read
she’s always great!
Very good. Two strong characters who complemented each other very well.
I enjoyed the ease in which it was written. Few “extra words” or typos – which I find VERY distracting. The story is nice and fun. Skimmed the sex scenes so no help there.
