What’s a Cinderella to do when she’s accidentally kicked her Prince Charming in the face and broken his nose? Hold an audition, of course. Harper Bailey is desperate to keep her family’s amusement park business up and running, but her employees keep quitting, and the man playing prince to her Cinderella in the company’s mainstage show is just the latest casualty. When sexy firefighter Rafferty … firefighter Rafferty Bradford, the most eligible bachelor in their small town, offers to step in, Harper agrees–reluctantly. After all, she and Rafferty are ex-best friends with a ton of past history. Surely they’ll have zero chemistry onstage.
Rafferty has his own reasons for agreeing to play Prince Charming, and none of them are good. If Harper finds out the truth, it’ll just reinforce every rumor she’s believed over the years about Rafferty’s bad rep. But when their chemistry explodes both onstage and off, he’ll have to choose between happily-ever-after for himself…or the Cinderella he’s fallen for.

This was a quick, sweet read. The writing was okay, but I was a little confused on the MCs backstory. They are former friends that had a falling out, but it was never really stated when that point happened. They talk about something that happened when they were older together, but then something else is mentioned that they don’t know about each other. Also, I’m not sure how in a town so small that everyone knows everyone else’s business, that Harper didn’t know the backstory as to why Rafferty was so closed off. That was a major thing and I’m sure it would have been talked about. It made it weird for me as a reader. I didn’t have a problem with them together, but the HEA happens VERY easily. Everything is resolved in just a few pages. This is a clean book, with zero steam. Not really my thing, but if that’s what you’re looking for, this one is for you. All in all, a sweet book with a good HEA.

Harper Bailey and Rafferty Bradford were once great friends but something happened and now they are more like enemies. Rafferty was the ultimate playboy bachelor who didn’t believe in happy ever after endings for himself when it came to romance. Harper wanted the forever love along with the white picket fence. She had feelings for Rafferty but could never acknowledge them because he was never going to be part of her future.
When Rafferty took a dare to prove that he could make a commitment, it put it right in the path of Harper because he was going to play the part of Prince Charming to her Cinderella at her family’s fairy tale amusement park. Would that help them both to realize that they could both have forever love or would it drive the wedge deeper between them? Between Rafferty’s meddlesome matchmaker grandma and others in the small town who were convinced that the two belonged together, could they deny the feelings that were creeping in?
This was a charming modern day love story with fairy tale elements. There was some sexual innuendo but no sex scenes and no foul language to speak of. The story was well developed and the secondary characters were wonderful. I especially loved Jean, the meddlesome grandma who was determined to seem Harper and Rafferty happy in the end.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
For me this story was not as good and funny as I had hoped for unfortunately!
A firefighter and a woman who helps her mother tend to their family amusement park while her mother is at a retreat, two childhood friends now enemies are forced to work together to save the amusement park and set up the play of “Cinderella”. She needs a Prince Charming and he volunteers. And drama ensues!
Most of the time both main characters annoyed me, because they were both way to stubborn to admit their faults and how they felt about each other and I had difficulties feeling their chemistry. I loved Raffertys grandmother at times but she also at times became too much in her way of pushing these two together. She meddled too much along with others in his family and their friends.
Some scenes were funny and I liked the ending.

The Firefighter”s Cinderella
By: Sonya Weiss
*REVIEW*
The Firefighter’s Cinderella is an adorable retelling of the classic story. Rafferty and Harper are meant to be, but they don’t know this yet. They were once possibly something but went separate ways. Now, their lives intersect once again, and as they help each other, it’s obvious they are not over. This story is predictable but still entertaining and sweet and charming. The characters are likeable and engaging. This is a fast easy read that fans of chicklit and romcoms are sure to love.
Let’s get past a small town could Possibly entertain TWO amusement parks.
Let’s ignore the best friends who use to be inseparable, why did they fall out? And they have both been burnt by love, why would they put themselves through it again?
Ignore all that and you have a fun read. It’s part of a series, but you don’t need to read the previous ones (i haven’t and I didn’t feel I missed anything)
Harper needs a Prince Charming, and pretty fast. Her family business is relying on her, and she can’t fail them…..
Enter her ex-best friend, as kids her and Rafferty were inseparable, but one moment it’s all over, Rafferty moves on, and Harper is left healing a broken heart.
Rafferty is a player, a love them and leave them guy, but there is a reason, and when he walked away from Harper, he thought it was for the best, he misses his best friend, but not enough to ever offer her a ring. But if she had an itch, then he’s the guy to help with that.
The town thinks that Rafferty and Harper should be together, and trying to convince everyone they are only together for the amusement park is proving harder than they thought. Except would it be so bad, just to give in?
Rafferty is hiding something, and when Harper finds out, it could end their newly formed friendship.
It’s a fun read, no smut, but lots of laughs. Got to love a matchmaking granny.

A little back and forth storyline. Harper and Rafferty were childhood best friends, but something happened that broke their friendship for good. Vowing to never be friends with him again, Harper ends up having to cave when he comes to her rescue as prince charming at her family’s business. While Harper thinks he is turning around and growing up, unbeknownst to her he is committing to the job because of a dare from his fellow firefighters. While Rafferty is attracted to her, he doesn’t understand what happened all those years ago, and throughout the story they are able to discuss and work through what happened. While this was an enjoyable read, it also was a little back and forth for me and I couldn’t really connect with the characters.

It was an ok read for me. Quick sweet romance and if that is what you are looking for then this for you. Rafferty and Harper have been friends since they were kids but something happened to cause them to stop. Years later, she needs a Prince Charming and Rafferty stepped up. Between this and a matchmaking town, they realize that they are made for each other.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
It is a really fun read. I enjoyed reading the story and both main characters are amazing. Harper is looking for a happily ever after and refuses to settle for anything less. Rafferty doesn’t want to give up his freedom which he thinks will happen if he ever settles down. So, it’s obvious that they are not suited for each other. Yet, people in their lives keep telling them that they should date and fall in love. Not that it matters.
But then Rafferty decides to play Prince Charming and help out Harper. Now, he is spending more time with her and both are renewing their friendship. As they get to know each other once again they realize that there is still a spark between them. It doesn’t change what they both want from life but it might be worth it to take a leap of faith and see what happens. Now, the question is are they brave enough or not?
It’s a well-written story and I loved it. It’s romantic and funny. I think that it’s a must-read for all romance lovers.
A sweet and quirky story. Both Rafferty and Harper have been damaged in the quest for love. They both are struggling with their families push to make them a couple. They first have to repair their friendship and see if a lifetime together could work. This story is based in a small town and has all the qualities of its closeness and people running interference in each other’s lives.
The Firefighters Cinderella by Sonya Weiss a four-star read that will set you aflame. This is my first novel from this author, but I will be looking for more as overall, it’s been a good story, the characters were well written, and you could get behind them feel Harpers desperation and need to succeed. This story will have you wanting everyone to get their happily ever afters and I must admit that the Bradford family won my heart. I would definitely be wanting to hear more from them. I gave this four-stars as it was cute and sweet, but I felt that it was missing just that little something. But overall I enjoyed it so I will be looking for more from this author.
