Davis Gates. Naked. Tossing her a handful of orgasms like he was on a lust-themed parade float.A fifty-year feud. One failed smoke bomb matchmaking scheme. Two enemies turned fake lovers. For the past fifteen years, Eden has worked her ass off to overcome high school. She’s cornered the tourism market in Blue Moon offering visitors a place to stay in her hippie, dippy hometown. Business is booming, … her hippie, dippy hometown. Business is booming, she’s close—but not too close—to family, and she’s got two dogs to keep her company. Life is perfect. Almost.
She also has the misfortune of sharing a property line with the crush who broke her teenage heart.
Davis spends his days gently wrestling control of the family winery from his father’s semi-retired hands. He doesn’t have time for things like dating and love. Especially since he never got over hurting his dream girl in a fog of teenage stupidity. Now, they’re neighbors… and the latest generation to carry on their families’ ridiculous, fifty-year feud.
When the Beautification Committee resorts to an unprecedented—and disastrous—matchmaking scheme, enemies Eden and Davis have to team up to bring them down. But will their fake relationship get too real?
Author’s Comments on Trope:
Enemies to fake lovers to friends to lovers. Rom-com to the max with a prickly, grudge-holding, thirty-something heroine who is nobody’s doormat and the ultimate nice guy looking for a second chance. Boom.

This book deserves so much more then just 5 stars! It’s funny, sweet and steamy, as the aaahhhmazing Lucy Score masterfully incorporated 3 tropes into this wonderful return to Blue Moon. We get “Friends to lovers”, Enemies to Lovers” and “Fake Relationship”, all tight into an exceptional story package. Lucy Score has quickly become my #1 Author for all things romance & love and I can’t wait to see what she’s got in store for us next.
The Fine Art of Faking It is a definite must read!!!
Full circle
Davis Gates is a go with the flow kind of guy. The obedient son, the star athlete, the successful businessman. He’s a good man, a good friend, a good citizen. But he wonders is this all there is, could he have more? Except for one fateful mistake in high school, he’s lived a charmed life. That one mistake has repercussions that he can only now, 15 years later, understand.
Eden Moody, reacting to Davis’s mistake, made a horrendous mistake of her own in high school, and has spent the remaining years struggling with her own atonement. Becoming a successful business owner, extending hospitality to those visiting Blue Moon. She wonders if there’s more to life, though?
Then the ripples from those two mistakes finally reach each other, in the form of a stink bomb because this is Blue Moon after all. Eden and Davis determine the Beautification Committee has gone too far this time with their matchmaking shenanigans and hatch their own elaborate plot.
Davis and Eden face the wrath of their feuding families and come full circle; from pretend domestic partners in high school to (pretend) love birds as adults. This is where Lucy Score shines, showcasing the undeniable chemistry between sworn enemies, making both Eden and Davis likable and sympathetic. As if this wasn’t enough, we get to spend Thanksgiving with the whole Pierce family in the greatest progressive dinner ever.
Davis and Eden touched my heart, both longing for something more in life that they didn’t even recognize until they shook off the patchouli cloud from high school. Their (fake) courtship that leads to (real) love was a delight to read about. And it’s Blue Moon, so there are plenty of side splitting moments along the way!
This series quickly became one of my favorites and I devoured every story. Eden and Davis intrigued me with the so called family feud and their inability to fight their ever growing attraction to one another. Throw in irritated parents and the committee and you get another great read.
The Fine Art of Faking it is yet another delightful book filled with grins and chuckles courtesy of Lucy Score and the Blue Moon folks. Davis Gates and Eden Moon’s families are Blue Moon’s very own version of the Montagues and Capulets. For 15 years they’ve had to endure the disaster of one high school night gone wrong. Now they’re thrown together by circumstance and what could very well be the meddling fine hand of the Beautification Committee. Now it’s up to them to decide if ghey’re going to let an almost 50 year feud and one night define them forever or are they going to embrace the feelings they have for each other.
Somehow, I can’t get enough of the Blue Moon Series books and The Fine Art of Faking it doesn’t disappoint. Eden and Davis have a history going back to high school, and we even get a slice of Blue Moon High from when Davis and Eden attended, which was really enjoyable. I absolutely loved this story, with each Blue Moon book I feel like I never really want to let this little hippie town and it’s residents go. Davis and Eden are able to overcome a family fued, a history and the beautification committee for their HEA. The difference in the Blue Moon book is the location which is outside of town. I give this book 5 stars, it has everything I love in a romance.
Another fantastic visit to Blue Moon. This book was a combination of my two favorite types of stories: second chance romance and fake relationship, with the usual Blue Moon zaniness, swoon-worthy sexy times and laugh out loud moments that Lucy Score does better than anyone.
I love catching up with the other members of our favorite community and getting to see what they’ve been up to since the last book, but the stars of this show are Davis and Eden. They have a complicated history, which is something I always love, as well as a complicated present, since their families have been feuding for the past 50 years!
They are forced to spend time together through the shenanigans of the well-meaning but often ridiculous Beautification Committee. Things don’t go as planned, of course, but we are all better off for it!
Being a big fan of origin stories (especially Lucy’s Where It All Began), I especially loved the bonus epilogue. Here’s hoping there’s plenty more Blue Moon in our future!
This series is the best.
I get very excited for these books.
This particular one is almost like a spin off of this series.
You don’t necessarily have to read all the other books to read this one, but I must warn you, you will want to read the rest once you’ve read this one.
Blue Moon, is a special place that if it were a real place, many who have read this series comment how they would love to live there.
The characters in these series are very unique.
You will fall in love with each and everyone of these characters. They will become like family.
This is a story about a high school romance that went all wrong because of a family fued between there families.
Fast forward to the present and the feud is still going. The whole town has been affected by this and they would like it to stop, but getting them together is going to be interesting since neither want to upset their parents, but the attraction is undeniable and they have matured since high school.
With introductions from the past characters , it is an awesome addition to the Blue Moon family.
Enemies to Lovers with lots of laughs!
Davis and Eden were teen loves, but due to their parents silly feud, Davis gave in and hurt Eden. Now the feud has moved on to Eden (at least in her view) and carries on for another 15 years. And we begin this story at this point in time. As with the other Blue Moon books, be prepared for wonderful characters, entertaining situations, unpredictable outcomes, and eventually, a HEA.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Number 6 in the Blue Moon Series and it was as good as the other books in the series. I loved it! I really enjoyed that characters from the series are included. Great romantic comedy!
In this episode of Lucy’s Amazing Blue Moon World …. Two kids can’t be together due to their families on going feud, over 50 years in the making. Now that they are adults, they are given a second chance, due to the nosey beautification committee, but will they be able to put their history behind them and finally follow what the universe has been telling them?!
I absolutely loved these two characters, Eden and Davis. I didn’t know what to expect, but was hooked the minute I found out this was a second chance/enemies to lovers kind of romance. Their angst, banter, friendship and team work had me laughing and swooning the entire story. The hilarious situations throughout the book, involving so many of the Blue Moon residents was perfect. Every time I think Lucy has written the most amazing couple/story, she comes up with an even more awesome story. This book, and all the others makes me want to live in the Blue Moon world. The only thing that bummed me out, was when the story was over, I just wanted more and more of all the craziness and sexy times this couples story displayed.
I was skeptical because the author is branching out from our beloved Pierce family with this book, but I am very happy with the story. I loved it so much I’d rank it up there with Carter or even Jax’s books. It was just the right amount of Blue Moon but with some new backstory that sucks you in immediatey. Who of us doesn’t remember a school dance gone wrong? It’s brilliant. I’m even more in love with Lucy Score if, thats even possible.
There is something so special about Blue Moon. I’m a huge fan of Ms. Score’s books, but there is something that leaves a warm place in my heart after reading a Blue Moon book. This town is so quirky and so many of the residents have fun names and they have the Beautification Committee that doesn’t actually beautify anything, but believes they create love connections. There are so many things to love about this town and these people.
Eden and Davis’s story is a enemies to lovers story that completely stole my heart. Davis and Eden have wanted each other since they were sixteen years old, but with some poor choices, they never got their chance. Now Davis is back in town and when he gets a chance to know Eden again, he knows what he wants for the first time in his life. Eden has held a grudge for so many years that will she be able to move onto a life after her grudge?
Once again, this story was perfectly told. I felt deeply for Eden and Davis and I ached for them as Eden tried to push Davis away. This story was everything I hoped it would be and I truly hope there are many more Blue Moon stories to come!
One happy hippie to be back in Blue Moon! Davis and Eden, the Blue Mooners version of Romeo and Juliet, were wanna be high school sweethearts until the HeHa dance. Then the goat milk hit the fan. It’s 15 years after graduation and Eden is the local Inn owner while Davis is back in town running the family winery. The Beautification Committee has them in their sights and Eden is having none of that. So take a journey to our favorite quirky town and all its extravagant inhabitants. Spend Thanksgiving with the Pierces and keep a look out for Clementine. Find out if the “fake-it-til-you-make-it” couple get their HEA and what the obstacles get in the way. Another fabulous read in this hopefully never ending series!
I feel like I need to start this review with a disclaimer. I’m a HUGE fan of the Blue Moon series and of Lucy Score. The Blue Moon series is one of my top 5 all-time favorite series. So obviously I was VERY excited to see another book in this series. If you’ve read any of this series before, we get to visit some old favorite characters and meet some new ones. If this is your first visit to Blue Moon, don’t worry. You will not feel lost. But I do need to warn you that once you visit Blue Moon you will want to stay!
This is the first breakout of the Pierce/Merrill family in Blue Moon. This book feels a little different to me (not in a bad way), but it is still very much a Blue Moon book! This time we get to know Eden and Davis. Eden owns the local Inn and Davis runs the local winery, both just outside of town and next door to each other. There is a feud between their families that goes back generations. This feud has affected not only Eden and Davis individually, but decisions they made and the paths they took. Despite the feud the Beautification Committee has their own ideas and agenda. Now, if you are new to Blue Moon and have no idea what the Beautification Committee is, there is no way for me to briefly explain. Just read the books and trust me that it’s a group of well-intentioned people that you both want in your community and glad that they are not. In typical Blue Moon fashion when you throw in a feud, the Beautification Committee, sparks (both literal and physical), a community event, an attempt at revenge, and many antics, you get a hilarious, fantastic, over-the-top rom-com.
I love this couple, both individually and as a couple. They are both struggling to break free of pasts and expectations. Eden is strong, smart, and stubborn. Davis is sexy, kind, and swoony. This book is so much wrapped into one explosive, rainbow-dyed bundle. It is hilarious, heart-warming, and steamy. I don’t want to give anything away, because I want you to experience Blue Moon and this book yourself. I cannot recommend this book and this series enough. I cannot recommend ANY of Lucy Score’s books enough. She is one of the few authors that hits it out of the park every single time. If you love a well-written rom-com with heart-warming characters then this book needs to be your next read.
This is a new layer to this small town romance series! We get to meet new characters and discover new places. And it’s got the fake fiance trope, which is my very favorite! Lucy Score, as always, brings in the heat, the suspense, and the small-town hilarity. A fantastic read.
2.5 stars. Just too infantile all the way through. Cannot believe I wasted time reading this silliness.
Just too over the top with all the interference by the Beautification Society, immaturity by the heroine and the ridiculous family behaviour.
Both sets of parents holding a stupid grudge, which they aren’t even sure what it is about.
How a mature business woman in her 30’s can hold onto a high school grudge is stupid. Yes it was hurtful, but really, how petty and mean Eden was.
Davis at least semi acted like an adult but talk about allowing ones parents to rule your life.
The silliness that I enjoyed previously was overdone for me.
Read through KU.
I’m a big fan of Lucy Score. Davis and Eden’s book was funny and engaging. The feud was such a great obstacle for the story. I did feel a bit sorry for Davis towards the end because Eden was so focused on getting back at the BC and proving herself not a really that she really hurt him. Obviously, it worked out though!
