Set in the near future, this action-packed YA novel—already optioned by Sony Pictures—will take readers out of this world and on a quest to become one of six teens sent on a mission to Jupiter’s moon. This is the next must-read for fans of Illuminae and The Martian. When Leo and Naomi are drafted, along with twenty-two of the world’s brightest teenagers, into the International Space Training Camp, … brightest teenagers, into the International Space Training Camp, their lives are forever changed. Overnight, they become global celebrities in contention for one of the six slots to travel to Europa—Jupiter’s moon—and establish a new colony, leaving their planet forever. With Earth irreparably damaged, the future of the human race rests on their shoulders.
For Leo, an Italian championship swimmer, this kind of purpose is a reason to go on after losing his family. But Naomi, an Iranian-American science genius, is suspicious of the ISTC and the fact that a similar mission failed under mysterious circumstances, killing the astronauts onboard. She fears something equally sinister awaiting the Final Six beneath Europa’s surface.
In this cutthroat atmosphere, surrounded by strangers from around the world, Naomi finds an unexpected friend in Leo. As the training tests their limits, Naomi and Leo’s relationship deepens with each life-altering experience they encounter.
But it’s only when the finalists become fewer and their destinies grow nearer that the two can fathom the full weight of everything at stake: the world, the stars, and their lives.

If you ever dreamed of becoming an astronaut, and you love Survivor, this one is for you!
OMG, I want more! I felt at the beginning it was taking a little bit to get into, but once I did, I couldn’t put it down. It was so good I read it in a few days! The characters and the story line drag you right in and you feel like you are right there walking along each character. Leo touched my heart and I want to help him in every way I could. Naomi is strong minded, but filled with hope. Yep Yep!
The settings were awesome. I was skeptical of a colonizing voyage to the moon Europa, not remotely in the goldilocks zone, but the theory was explained enough that I could make the leap of believability and enjoy the book. The science was just the right balance of in depth and understandable, reminiscent of The Martian. The action was fast paced. Couldn’t put it down.
Amazing book! I couldn’t stop when I started! The amazing characters that slowly fell in love vs. the high-class jerk. Not only was the ending awesome, but the way the secrets that were revealed at the end truly made it a twisted page-turner. Truly an unpredictable book!
It is an awesome book and it’s the kind of book that would get you to keep turning pages
I’m usually very picky about what books I like to read, but this book right here!!!! I could not put it down!. I was so captivated by the story and I almost cried when I finished it 🙁 I didn’t want it to be overrrrr
Sometimes the thing you think will break you, only makes you stronger. And just when you think you have nothing to live for, you find something to fight for.
Do not read this book unless you love feeling secondhand embarrassment for the author. This book was so poorly researched. I laughed out loud at one page that said during a physical exam, the nurse “listened” to a character’s ears and heart. LISTENED TO HIS EARS. You do not have to be a doctor or a nurse to know that they are not listening to your ears when they look in there with an otoscope. So embarrassing. The plot was honestly great, but so much of the dialogue was weird and forced. In the span of half a page, a character decides to lose her virginity and it is the cringiest thing I’ve ever read. On top of that, the last few pages of the book had one of the most ridiculous and lazy “plot twists” ever. I finished this book with one huge eye roll, saying, “How convenient.” Do not spend money on this book, 0/10 recommend.
It is an amazing book. I will recommend this book to people who love a realistic- scienfiction that is exceptionally entertaining, mystery, a bit of romance and will keep you reading until the end
