This is a novella tying up the SEALs of Steel series.A prosthetic design engineer, Kat Greenwald is in love with Badger Horley. The former SEALs team leader is the love of her life. But she’s seen and heard firsthand of the fears and commitment issues Badger and his closest friends–once part of Navy special operations teams–struggle with on a daily basis. During their weekly get-togethers, the … get-togethers, the women in love with these former SEALs open up to each other about their longing to tie the knot and start families.
More than two years ago, Badger was badly injured after the truck his eight-man unit were in hit an antitank landmine. While he and his team have finally discovered the truth behind that devastating set-up, Badger sees the reality of his precarious future. His health could decline at any moment and he wants Kat to know exactly where the door to get out is if and when it does. The last thing he wants to do is invite pity, especially where the woman he loves is concerned. In a perfect world, he would have proposed to her the day they met. In the world he lives in, he can only conclude that harboring fears are always better than regrets.
But Kat isn’t the type of woman to fear hard times and she’s willing to take a leap of faith as far out into the unknown as she can get if it means her most fervent wish comes true.

Just WOW! I adored this book. What a fantastic way to end this fantastic series. I adored this series and I was sorry to see it end but this book was the icing on the cake and just took it over the top. The planning and plotting was wonderful. There was not the typical intrigue of finding the “bad guy” here but there was definitely intrigue. I just teared up near the end.
This book is a must read if you have read the entire series. This is such a joy! I highly recommend this story to anyone!!! I will definitely be re-reading this entire series over and over.
This was an enjoyable story, and a good addition to a great series. I did feel a little disappointed by this one, as I thought character development was stronger in previous books in the series and plot twists came faster and from further left of field. I suppose it’s hard to keep a series fresh for every book and this feels to be the case here. That said, this is a well written book with some great characters and a considered ending. I do love this author and will continue to look forward to reading their books!
What an a perfect way to end an awesome series! I loved seeing the women become a unit as they planned the surprise of all surprises. The men were struggling to figure out how to be useful and successful in the future. I love how Ice was so willing to help out that she was willing to use herself and her relationship to help them accomplish their goals. I am so ready to see what happens with the next series, it has Dogs!! This was such an awesome series and the ending was the icing on the cake.

This was a quick read that tied up the series about the seven man unit very nicely. It focuses on how they are coping with closing out the case of why they were all injured and how they move forward with their futures. It also lays some groundwork for a spin-off series. A great read with lots of heart. I volunteered to read this book from Booksprout.
The Final Reveal was a great way to end this series. This is definitely not a stand alone. You really need to read the other books in this series to fully get and love this great ending. It was so fun and just perfect. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Moving and romantic ending to the series. Kat had a crazy idea about how she could show Badger how much she loved him and that she wasn’t going anywhere no matter what issues might arise. She shared her idea with Honey first and then with all the other women who were a part of the lives of Badger’s former SEAL team and best friends. They all agreed with Kat that it was a good idea.
Badger and his friends had been hurt when their truck hit a landmine. Although, he was better, he knew that could change at any time and he didn’t want to burden Kat with his medical issues. How will he respond when Kat put her idea into action?
I really enjoyed this book and it tied up the series nicely. Thank you Dale Mayer for another excellent book.
Wow! What a perfect conclusion to the fabulous must-read SEALs of Steel with a great cast of characters and a beautifully written story that kept me captivated from the first word to the last and brought me an afternoon of reading pleasure.
Ms. Mayer is such a talented author and never disappoints, far exceeding my expectations. I can hardly wait for her next book!! I received an advance reader copy of The Final Reveal from Booksprout and this is my voluntary and honest review. I loved it so much, I purchased a copy.
This is one of the most emotionally fulfilling stories I’ve read in my life.the way each book has had us along as these wounded warriors found the love of a good woman that didn’t see them as damaged or as lessor men but as the hero’s they are .Was a great ride to read .Then this story of the showing of just how much these women cherish what they have with their men wanting to show them that they can survive anything as long as they do it together. That their love has no bounds and no challenge is going to make them let the men go.The story was funny in parts, but heart warming and so emotional in the deep meaning of this story.I hope that our wounded warriors take to heart the underlying message I feel this story can convey. That no matter the injuries you suffered from that there are people out there that will love you deeply because a body is a vessel we have been given but the deep spirit of the person and the heart of the wonderful men and women that have sacrificed for us deserve out love affection and our deep appreciation. I look so forward to finding out how these wonderful characters are doing in the future.I so look forward to seeing what’s next by this multi talented author. I voluntarily decided to review this advanced reader copy because it’s one of the best stories I’ve ever read and I hope every adult reads these books.
We met Badger and Kat in the first book of the series, Badger, and were able to witness them falling in love first hand. Kat wants to marry the love of her life so that they can share the ups and downs that they encounter but Badger is worried that his health will make him a burden and that is something he doesn’t want to inflict on Kat.
Kat has a plan which includes the women in love with the other members of the SEAL team and the men are about to see how determined and strong their women can be.
This is a fitting conclusion to thee SEALs of Steele series as we get to reunite with all the characters we know and love from the previous books and see why they make not only great couples but a great team.
This is book 8 in the final book in the SEALs of Steel series. This story involves all seven SEALs and their girlfriends but spends more time with Badger and Kat. WOW! All the planning and emotional stress is incredible. I can only imagine how Kat felt. These men have all been medically discharged from the service and are a close knit family. I love how they want to live within walking distance from each other. They’re only trying to decide what to do with the rest of their lives. Leave it to the women to take charge and alter the course of all their lives forever. I love it! I only wish we could have seen each of their reactions to the big reveal.
This is a fantastic end to an equally fantastic series. BRAVO! I look forward to reading whatever this author brings us next.
This is a final book in the series and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap the series up. With everything this group of SEALs had dealt with seeing them well on their way to HEAs warmed my heart. What Kat and the other ladies have in store for their guys is a daunting task, but one from the heart. If you enjoyed this series I highly recommend reading this novella because it’s the perfect touch and gift to readers.
The Final Reveal by Dale Mayer
SEALs of Steel Series Book Eight
This book is written from Badger and Kat’s point of view. They were the first couple in this series. Kat is extremely talented when it comes to creating a unique prosthetic. Badger and his unit go to Kat, as they have all lost at least one limb.
Kat has been living in Badger’s awesome house for some time. She loves Badger…and his house. And that it has a pool is an extra bonus. It’s also a great place for the six other men and their women to come on the weekend for barbecues and swimming.
As they sit and unwind from all that has happened over the past six weeks…Kat puts an idea she’s had into motion. She wants to marry Badger and knows he’ll never want to tie her down to him because of his continued medical issues. So, she’s going to plan a wedding and surprise him. Great story. I had happy tears running down my face at the end.

I absolutely loved this book. I was so happy the way things turned out for the characters. The book took all the loose ends and tied them up nicely into an exciting, clever ending. The characters were so awesome in that they seemed so “human” in their actions. The sneakiness between the characters was so funny and lifelike that I could not help but laugh at all the antics. Having the characters act so sneaky was just an awesome way to show that this could actually be a true story even though it is fiction. Loved that after the seriousness of the previous books Dale made this book so fun and included so many happy events. Hope this series continues but if not, what an awesome ending!

I loved this series so much and the last book did not disappoint. It was more fun and lighthearted than the others but just as enjoyable. While I’d already guessed a lot after the last book I did not expect the last surprise! I look forward to whatever Dale Mayer decides to write next!
This was a perfect ending to an amazing series. The thought that went into this book is….wow. I had hoped the very end would happen.

This is the conclusion to this exciting, mystery series.
This one had no drama or danger or heart stopping moments. It was all a big secret by the women to surprise their men. The men are also working out what they can do with the rest of their lives career wise.
A light end after a rather dark series, 7 men and 7 women deserved this ending after all the trauma.
This was a fantastic conclusion to this series! Dale Mayer hits it out of the park again!
This is a great conclusion and I highly suggest reading the entire series of Seals of Steel. These guys have been through so much, but their partners truly bring out the best in them. Fantastic read!
This one definitely a sweet perfect ending to an amazing series.
It’s a fast-paced epilogue full of of love and sweetness, it’s kinda exaggerated for me, but I still enjoying it nonetheless, especially the banter between these seven SEALs and their women, their togetherness, the tight friendships thicker than blood, their loyalties, an assurance that you alwayds got someone to watch your back, oh yes those are all the things that make me love this series, also lovable characters that always got me smiling.
If you are following this series, you must read this book, if you haven’t well…what are you waiting for, go read this suspense military romance series.

A great ending to a 7-book-series. We’ve got the mystery conclusion in the last book, yet there were still many issues unresolved. Personal issues specifically. So, yeah, they all revealed (or resolved?) in this final book. Ah, also about what they going to do next, after Mouse’s tragedy solved. Something that had been occupying their mind and time for so long. Time to move on with their lives, with help from their women of course. I also like that there’s surprise at the end.
All in all, an enjoyable read, a perfect end to a long story arc.
I was provided a complementary copy by the author / publisher through NetGalley, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions.
