Everyone knows love is a battlefield. For Lenny Johnstone, it’s more like a challenge. Actually, everything is kind of a challenge for her. In comparison to her stunning—yet flighty—twin sister, Lenny’s awkwardly tall, painfully shy, and not so good at putting herself out there. Which is why she’s decided it’s high time she faced her demons. Starting with the one thing that’s always terrified her … always terrified her most: roller coasters.
Meeting a man was not on her summer to-do list. Falling for the tall, dark, and handsome stranger who wants to help her overcome her fears wasn’t either.
But Lenny’s about to learn that the only thing with more twists and turns than a roller coaster is love.

It you are looking for a beautifully written love story look no further than The Fear of Falling because this book has all the feels you want in a great read. This author always gives me characters I fall in love with and Lenny and Rowan were no different, I fell hook, line and sinker for this couple.
Lenny is a woman a lot of us can relate to, she doesn’t see the woman Rowan see’s when she looks in the mirror, she doesn’t realise just how confident and beautiful she really is and it’s only when you join her and Rowan’s on their journey that you start to see her realising exactly who she is….
Lenny takes her fears about life to the extremes and that leads her to a meeting with the man who will bring her to life in the most beautiful way, a man who will show her just how confident she can be if she just takes that leap into the unknown…..
This may be a quick read but that doesn’t mean this book doesn’t pack a mighty punch, I loved the story and I loved Lenny and Rowan and I was so happy to join them on their journey. Every character in this book has a tale to tell and I really hope we get more from the secondary characters we met in this wonderful romance. I highly recommend this to all romance lovers.
What a welcome back to the writing of the incredible Ms. Cranford.
I know I have been waiting (sometimes not so patiently) for another gem of a story and she doesn’t fail to shine again with this lovely story of Rowan and Lenny.
This story started as an audio story for Read Me Romance and then Ms. Cranford got to add even more awesomeness to this sweet, steamy, insta-love kind of story.
A chance meeting at an amusement park, when Rowan and Lenny meet you can almost hear the “click” of their souls connecting. Sometimes time and space don’t matter. When you know, you know! Lenny with her anxiety and Rowan with his patience and admiration for his Challenger was so swoony to read! It made my heart melt!
Ms. Cranford has such a way of bringing the reader into the story, she breaks the third wall and really feel the characters actually talking to you, the reader.
This is a quick-paced story that I couldn’t put down until the very end. I cannot wait to read Willa’s story in the future!
5 Star review of The Fear Of Falling by B.Cranford
This was such a beautifully written love story. I fell hard and fast for Lenny and Rowan.
I really enjoy Ms.Cranford’s style of writing, she has a way of developing characters that are so likeable and easy to relate to that you cannot help but become invested in the story that she weaves.
The banter and friendship built between Lenny and Rowan was wonderful. The love and romance between them was wonderful to read as I went on their journey with them. I laughed and swooned and found The Fear Of Falling a pleasure to read.
Although not a long book, it certainly was entertaining.
This is a story about overcoming your fears. Whether that be a fear of roller coasters, the fear of driving or the fear of being second best to your twin sister. But Lenny takes her fears to an extreme and that leads her to meeting a stranger on a bench at the amusement park. This chance encounter with Rowan changes everything. But can he help her overcome her fears? Or will he add more fears to her bucket list to cross off? Loved Lenny from the opening pages. This is a good-feel book that will make the reader laugh out loud and end with a smile on their faces. The perfect summer read.
Facing your fears is probably one of the hardest things in the world to do. I’ve often thought about my fears that don’t make sense to me as well as the ones that do and wonder where they came from. Was it a past life situation, is it something I repressed, is it something so traumatizing that I get sick even thinking about it? Then I wonder if I’m strong enough to face them, tackle some so my life is easier or is it easier to ignore them? Who am I actually doing it for? So many questions.
Well this little story is all about this and so much more. Lenny is a girl with a lot of baggage so to speak, but she is sweet and kind, scared of a lot but with good reason. Enter Rowan, the total opposite. This is a definite story of opposites (in some ways) attracting. magnets that are inexplicably drawn to each other. A right hand and a left hand together they are complete. However, Lenny has to learn to stand on her own but having someone to lean on when life becomes overwhelming is a comfort she is not use to and is definitely a welcomed change.
I don’t want to give anything else away because there’s so much sweetness and goodness in this story you deserve to find out the why and how it came to be all by yourself. It will definitely put a smile on your face. It may even get you to face some of your own fears.
I would’ve like a little more on the secondary characters and friends I didn’t meet but other than that I really enjoyed it.
You get in all in this lovely story; the smiles, the laughs, the sweet, the mild angst, the quips and the heat! Yes, don’t worry about the heat. It’s all there!
It’s a quick read with a lot of heart. Hoping there’s a second book to this series so I can see these two again! The “ meet cute” is certainly just that, so cute. Have no fear you will certainly fall for these two enchanting characters..
The Fear of Falling by B. Cranford was just the book I needed today.
I love the way Ms. Cranford delivers all the feels and has you completely engaged with her characters in no time.
Lenny is the woman who doesn’t always see the confidence she has buried within herself.
She’s graced huge tragedy and loss, but she’s willing to try to challenge herself.
Rowan is the perfect match for her! I love his laid back confidence and willingness to take each step with Lenny at her own pace.
“It’s time to let go of the fear, sweetheart. It’s time to live.”
May we all have friends like Gale, sisters like Willa, and men like Rowan in our lives!
