Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.
Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars brilliantly explores the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

For those of you haven’t read it yet — and, seriously, what are you waiting for? — The Fault in Our Stars is about a sixteen-year-old terminal cancer patient named Hazel, her obsession with a book called An Imperial Affliction, written by a Salinger-like author named Peter Van Houten, and how she falls in love with seventeen-year-old cancer …
Unless you are heartless you will cry. Fair warning. I loved this book. I’m a sucker for this kind of stuff and it did not disappoint. I cried like a baby. I wasn’t expecting the ending at all. I guess it was predictable for some. But I loved this book. I would re-read it if the magic wasn’t gone after one read.
I am beautifully wrecked by this story…by Hazel, by Augustus. “Some infinities are bigger than other infinities.” The Fault in Our Stars is infinite in its honesty, it’s humor, its truth. And it will stay with me for an infinite number of days.
“The Fault in our Starts” is an amazing book! John Green created such amazing characters. I loved Hazel and Augustus’ way of thinking. I liked how this wasn’t just a typical book about a character having cancer. Everything about this book was perfect. From the mood to the dialogues, it was outstanding. John Green put a lot of thought into each …
I know at this point everyone has seen the movie, but the book is still so good. I don’t usually read books looking to cry, but I sobbed and enjoyed every second of it. “That’s the thing about pain– it demands to be felt.”
John Green at his best. I was hooked from the first page. Hazel is witty and tragic all rolled up into one. She is extremely blunt in the face of her impending death, and seems unconcerned with leaving something of herself to the world. Enter Gus Waters. He’s this slightly pretentious guy who looks at life as a never-ending series of metaphors. As …
4.5 stars to The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I found this book on the shelf in my building’s resident library and brought it home. I’d wanted to sample a Green novel but wasn’t sure which one. ‘Let It Snow’ was also there, so I took it, too! I added both to my Monthly Book Bucket List on my blog, and this was the book followers selected in …
A book that I bought for my teenage granddaughter—-sat down to read one chapter and could not put the book down—-
This book slayed me. This is why I write. This story is so inspiring and I don’t care if you’re not a YA reader. If you’re a human you need to read this book. Perfectly captures love, loss and everything that comes after. If you read this and liked it, here are two others in the same vein you might enjoy. All the Bright Places and The Goodbye …
In my opinion I thought the book myself was very sad but the fact they were brave and strong about their cancer. the book had got me crying so any times in the sad parts and their love was so romantic it is surely my favorite book and movie to watch every time i read some pages it gets me so teary 😉
This book is incredible. That is all I have to say. I’m speechless about this book and very much about the movie as well.
It is definitely this generations ‘Love Story’. It was one of those books you start to read & you know @ the very beginning that you will read it through to the end in one sitting. And I did…all day & clear through the night. I laughed, I cried, I think of the characters even to this day ‘as somehow real people’. I think of them & remember …
Loved this book!!!! So funny and witty but really romantic if you loved Eleanor and Park, you will love this!!!
I liked this book because it made you think about how grateful you are to be able to do whatever you want and not be held back from what you want to do.
Award-winning author John Green’s gentle romance novel, The Fault in Our Stars, is funny, touching, tragic and, along the way, educational. The sarcastic and witty story is written in first-person.
Hazel, 17, in the regressive stage of lung cancer, wheels around an oxygen tank wherever she goes. Her mother realizes Hazel is depressed and insists …
I honestly am at a loss for words. When it comes to books I admit I’m a bit judgy and often decide that it ‘isn’t for me’ only after a few pages. But this was absolutely PERFECT from the very start.
First of all the characters. Hazel is relatable and witty, Augustus simply wonderful, the parents incredibly supporting and loving, and as for Peter …
I thought that this book was so nice and really brings out the best in our world.
it shows us peoples inner feelings. When Gus died I started crying. Overall it was a great book.
Want to read a book with characters that break your heart and writing that blows your mind on just about every page? Oh, yeah. This is the one.
I love this book
