If you haven’t been reading this series, you have certainly been missing out. The current offering seems a bit different than the previous ones as there is quite a bit of flashbacks, but this is a good thing. We get more glimpses into Charlotte’s early years and the environment she came from. This adds more depth to the story and helps us as readers to flesh out the character we are reading about. Beautifully written as has been this entire series. Highly recommended!!!

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were interesting, entertaining and has a good storyline that will draw you in. The sexy chemistry is off the charts between the sheets moments.
This is the latest volume in the author’s ongoing BDSM mystery and intrigue series. Why do I call it that? Because the ongoing plot has just about taken over the series with BDSM just there to spice things up. Whether you consider that a good or bad thing is up to the reader.
As we are well along the way, jumping in here can be somewhat daunting. New readers won’t understand the background and why certain actions have come to the fore, but it is still an enjoyable read nonetheless. Just be prepared to go back and fill in the gaps afterwards.
The writing continues to be fantastic, striking an excellent balance between the erotica that we grew to love and the secrets that are slowly being revealed. The result is a hot and sexy story with twists and turns which keep you glued to the page. While this volume will only take you an evening or two to read, catching up on the earlier books will take considerably longer. Plenty of time for the next one to come out!

This is another great chapter in a fantastic story. I love Simone’s use of flashbacks to develop and reveal her characters, and I really liked getting to know more about Klempner. I’d like to think there is or was at one point some good in him that somehow got twisted and turned ugly. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. I eagerly await each book in the saga like opening the daily slots on an Advent calendar to reveal the prize inside.

There are 2 Christmases celebrated in this story, one from 26 years ago and one in the present day. This was wonderful to read, and the author does an excellent job of weaving everyone together, which helps to give a lot more depth to each of the characters. Awesome book and a must read if you have read any of the books in this series or even if this is your first intro to this series. I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could! Though here we saw a more king & loving side of Klempner towards Micah & saw a tiny bit of his younger years, which makes me more inquisitive of how & why Klempner went down the way he did in Trafficking, which I’m sure we’ll hear & see soon

Simone is one of my top 10 authors and I love the Charlotte series! In this part from the past, Larry takes Mitch on vacation, yet where is Frank? Larry may be on vacation, but he is still keeping his ears to the ground on business. Back in the present, Michael’s Christmas gift to Charlotte may be a hint to her Mother, while James’ gift takes gifts to a whole new level. James and Michael continue to worry who the leak is to Klempner in jail. I couldn’t put this book down with the plot twists, until I finished it in one sitting. Eagerly awaiting the next part!
I love the way Simone Leigh is telling this series. Although I still feel like Klempner has become an unscrupulous man, I’m seeing him in a whole new light. One that is showing an abused child and I’m wondering if he hasn’t seen something in his past that he’s buried so deep it’s subconsciously affected how he interacted with people. Where bad compounded bad until something in him snapped. And as obnoxious as I found Frank Conners personality when we first met him, I’m beginning to feel like it’s a cover for his insecurities. (I’m not giving away anything, only making a guess here in my review) There’s no way to start this story and not become vested in the tale AND the characters. It has evil, fear, love, friendship, devotion, loyalty, mystery .. This one has it all and will seep into your psyche leading you find out more and more as each piece of the puzzle comes to light. Congratulations Simone on another 5 star rating.

Another great read from Simone! We get background on Charlotte’s mother and her relationship with Klempner and a few questions are answered. I love to see Charlotte’s family growing with the inclusion of Elizabeth and Richard. And oh the steam!!
Wow, this book left me curious as ever, but thirsty for the truth about Charolette’s parents . As for the gang themselves, I love how there tight group is expanding. I must say I also love the role Kirstie has taken on and her Dom too. Most of all I’m excited to have at least one family drama come to an end. Now all we need is for Klempner to come to terms with his fatal attraction to Charolette and her mom. I also, love the brief glimpse we have of his vulnerability too. It was rear, but was very important to the story. I’m soo looking foreword to the next book.

Since this was part five I was not sure if I was going to be lost in the story or not. Where I was confused from time to time the author did a great job using flashbacks to give the reader background information. This book is not for those who have a problem with the idea of one lady with two gentlemen, but for me, Ms. Leigh has written a really good book. It does have a holiday theme but easily read all year round. You may want to read the other books in the series to get a clearer view of the storyline, but I enjoyed the time I spent reading this one. Charlotte is such a complicated and in depth character. Each time you read about her she becomes more personal and real. Her past keeps opening up windows you get to peek thru. I really enjoy reading about the beginning of Klempner and Mitch’s relationship. When they take their Christmas trip to Helsinki and Mitch has her first genuine orgasm it is a nice turning point in their story. I love the POV from Klempner and his uncertainties.
