Step into the Honey Club, where every sensual boundary will be tested in search of the ultimate pleasure… Branch doesn’t exist. Living off the grid, he’s looking for a way to forget his past and the guilt that plagues him. But no woman has ever been able to bring him to the edge he craves. After a traumatic experience of her own, Evangeline stepped away from the decadent world of the Honey … decadent world of the Honey Club. But when she gets Branch’s offer–to play without boundaries or commitments–it’s too tempting for her to refuse.
As their passion ignites, Evangeline and Branch push each other to their farthest limit, fulfilling their darkest desires while falling harder and deeper than they ever imagined.

I liked this one a lot better than the first foray into this series. (Seriously, that whole horse thing still creeps me out.) I liked Evangeline and Branch as a couple, and the sex was hot. I do love an alpha bad boy. I did feel a bit of a letdown as to how the business with the bad dude played out; it was rather anticlimatic. I didn’t give this five stars because once again, there is pretty much the same dialogue in each book, just different speakers. But it was entertaining, which is what I look for in a book.
Who doesn’t love a damaged hero, and in this book, we get a severely damaged hero and a slightly damaged heroine. We also get a smoking hot connection and some scenes that are seriously awesome. Not just hot, almost, really, like art, that is the beauty and the symmetry of these two when they connected, whether as Domme and sub or woman and man. Branch’s trauma isn’t slight, it runs deep for good reasons, and those reasons mess with his self-worth. Being with him as he realizes his worth, and how much he truly has people was wonderful. It also gave us the slight suspense part of the story. Evangeline never doubted her worth, she doubted her instincts, and took a break. Small steps to return to her life, and her connection with Branch, clarified so many things for her, it too was great to see. I completely enjoyed these two and their story, and all the friends they brought with them as they found their HEA <3
I enjoyed this love story and how these two characters finally found what made them each whole. This one was even more intense than the first, but still you couldn’t help but follow the journey these two characters took to get to their happily ever after. I recommend this book and this author.
So, I liked it. The plot was better than the first one, though I think I liked Olly better personally. That said, despite the fact Dommes aren’t my thing (if I venture into BDSM books it’s always Doms), I still enjoyed the read.
This was an erotically charged, passionate read with one very complicated man and a determined woman that I enjoyed immensely.
I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway.
The Farthest Edge is the second novel in Kristen Ashley’s new different Honey series. While you don’t need to read the first novel The Deep End before reading this one, I would recommend it. This series is about female Doms and Alpha-subs and all things BDSM.
I don’t mind the sex, or BDSM. But when there’s not a great story and then you just throw sex at it, to me it makes it a bad book.
Branch knows how to surprise and awe his woman, “good timing,” he said instead of offering her a greeting. “Chops’ll be done in a couple of minutes.” He was grilling. Branch Dillinger, mystery man, hot guy and alpha-sub extraordinaire, grilled.” Angie certainly knows how to make her man feel warm and fuzzy, “you texted to say you were coming home. So I cleared my schedule today so I could spend it with you.” His eyes warmed…” Branch just can’t say no to his woman, “****, Eff. He tucked the dog in his arm, curled his fingers around the dog’s scruff and started massaging. The dog began panting and settled in. “You get him, you also get another one, a bigger one, one I pick, and no cat,” he announced.” I loved this book, I am actually liking this series better than I thought I would.
Any KA book is an automatic 5 star for me. This is a new genre for her and while not necessarily a favorite (for me), she does her usual magic in bringing her characters to life and making you care about them. She is wonderfully prolific, thank heavens and if she feels the need to stretch her subject matter, that’s fine with me. I’ll enjoy every single thing she writes.
