Okay, the story is great and the writing is flawless, BUT it was left on a hook. I would have been upset except that the next book was included in the download. And the next! Thank goodness. I’m so relieved! The Irish Witch series is wonderfully addictive!
A different sort of story line than the usual and fun to read. I just wish the new generation of writers didn’t think you need to leave the story incomplete to catch readers up. I prefer when a book is complete to itself even in a series than when elements are not resolved and leave the reader hanging.
The book is very short; just when story gets interesting, it is done & you have to buy next book. Not cool!
Okay predictable book
Rather wordy at times. I hate that what should probably be one book is broken into a trilogy. Although I haven’t read the second book to be sure.
A story of historical Ireland; the ways of the people, their beliefs, and secrets. The author writes so that you can empathize with the characters, understand their plights, and interests you with the history. At that time, magical ways were feared yet could be respected in the ways of healing, a fine line. Alainn McCreary is a powerful young woman coming into her own as a healer in training. She is outspoken, though, and a woman can find herself in danger and she does. When the O’Brien Clan’s Chieftan’s nephew, Killian, finds himself caring for Alainn, things must come to a head. Alainn finds out a truth that shatters her grip on the past and she must find a way to deal with it and keep herself alive for the one she loves. A curse on the Clan has roots to her past and she must try to unravel it, but how? This story is full of emotions, twists and turns on all sides. It is rich in imagery and you can feel the tenseness and relate to characters who might be very much like people that exist today in your own life or those around you. Once you pick up “The Farrier’s Daughter”, you will find yourself unable to put it down. The ending leaves you wanting to go on to the next in the series.
I am really enjoying reading this series, cannot wait to get the rest of the books. It was realistic, you almost felt like you were there. Would make a good movie series.
I enjoy reading this type of book. I like the enchantment of it all.
I was reading along; really enjoying myself; getting to the good part . . . Hey! Wait!
You must buy the next book. Hardly. 7 books in the series, I think. I’ll bet the first 6 are cliffhangers.
Too much abuse of women
shows how the male dominated women in the olden days
I enjoyed this book will be acquiring the series
A sweet hero and beautiful girl story. Her “superpowers” make it more interesting.
Too slow for me
It was an interesting read. I loved the backdrop setting and out of character personalities for the time frame it is set in.
I loved this book and have just bought the rest of the series! Can’t wait to get started with the rest of the books.
Loved it! Makes me want to buy the full series!
It could have been a good book except for way too much explicit romance.
Was really disappointed. Kept reading in the hopes it would get better. It never did.
kept me from putting it down past my usual bedtime
I did not like where ended it so have to read the next. It was a quite read
