Every family has its secrets, and the March family is no exception. For the March sisters, Match Made in Devon, the bridal shop opened by their parents, was a real-world example of what true love was all about. But for Freesia Day, the shop represents the family and love she has been denied her entire life. Now, reluctantly accepted by her estranged sisters, Freesia still finds herself torn … finds herself torn between wanting to know the truth about her biological family whilst believing they don’t deserve to know her at all.
So Freesia does what she does best and plans to leave the painful past behind, setting her sights on a new life in New York, and the career she’s always dreamed of. But fate has other ideas in the form of Jay—a soul as lost as she is, and one with an even darker past.
Freesia knows a future with Jay is impossible – they are two sides of a very different coin – and he is just another link that’s keeping her from running. But when Freesia’s past comes knocking at her door, she realizes that running won’t save her anymore. This time, in order to protect her heart, Freesia has to stand firm and face the past’s painful secrets head on… regardless of the consequences.
Three women bound by fate and family will have to struggle together to redefine what ‘family’ means and discover the raw truth where forgiveness meets love.

Highly emotional, engaging, action packed and relatable journey filled with uncertainty, family issues, fiercely loyal support systems and entertaining series that tells the story of three vastly different sisters that have way more in common than they realize… Loved this heartwarming series.
I related to this book on so many levels! I recently found my estranged father and it turned out that I have two sisters as well. I related with Freesia more than most probably would. The author was right on point with how most anybody would feel when they felt abandoned most of their life.
This book had several different entertaining storylines that just flowed together without becoming confusing.
I would recommend this book!

When Freesia receives a phone call from Georgia, she knows that she can’t go to New York but back to her dying mother and try to forgive her. Alex needs to decide if she really wants to marry Jonah. And the three March sister need to unravel the past, the true story that links Elias, Irene Stella and Camille’s life. The truth about love, family, forgiviness and everything in between. A really good story.
This is my favorite book of this series, but it is not a quick read. The story is so emotional that I had to take a break every couple of chapters and step back. I read them out of order and was a bit confused at times – please read them in order. This book tidies up all the unanswered questions and situations from the previous two, while still having its own story line. The characters are so well developed – I feel like I actually know them even better after reading this book.

The Family Wish by Danielle Blair is Book three in the Devon Bridal Shop series that revolves around three sisters: Alex, Charlotte, and Freesia, and the bridal shop they inherited from their mother. It has been a trying and emotional time for the two sisters and their newly discovered half sister. Alex was dumped by her husband, who had been cheating on her, just before she discovers she is pregnant’ Charlotte who has reached a crossroads in her marriage and come out on the other side; and Freesia, who has only discovered she has half sisters at all. The girls have found evidence that their mother cheated on their father and that she made have sent him to be with Camille, Freesia’s mother, who was a part of their shared childhood. It is all very complicated, as families tend to be. Freesia is supposed to be moving to New York, just as the hospital calls to tell her that her mother may be dying. She doesn’t even like her mother. Why should she care?
The story gets complicated between running the bridal shop, taking care of Camille, Freesia meeting and man, and Alex finally getting married. It is an emotional story that is too realistic to be comfortable. The characters, especially the sisters, are complex and secretive. Their relationships at complicated. Is it their right to know their parents’ secrets? This is an important theme of this entry in the series. Is it necessary to keep the bridal shop going despite the fact it is finally showing a profit? Should Freesia go to New York and see if she can cut it as a designer? This is a multi-facted story that will hold your attention to the very end. Will you agree with the decisions the sisters make? Not always, but you will be forced to think. I recommend this book as real-life fiction.
I received a free ARC of The Family Wish in exchange for a fair and honest review.
I’ve enjoyed all the stories of the sisters. It seems each book has entranced me more. I loved the ending.
