Magic doesn’t lie. Witches do.Our Coven Leader is dead…and they think I killed him. I didn’t. I would never have hurt him. I tried everything I could to save him. But it’s their word against mine. And with his blood staining my hands and caked in my hair, I don’t know how I’m going to get them to believe me…Because the truth is far more unsettling..those shadow creatures knew exactly where and … unsettling..those shadow creatures knew exactly where and when to ambush us. Someone set us up to be slaughtered…and it wasn’t me.
The scariest part is…that Ouija Board tried to warn me…

Amazing book ! I am loving this series . I just can’t put it down. My full review is in the box set for this series.
The Fallen Witch is book two in Chandelle LaVaun’s The Coven: Practical Magic series. This continues on right where The Hidden Witch ended with Bettina being escorted by the Knights to jail after being accused of killing Timothy, the male leader of the Coven and the Judgement Card. Book one must be read before reading this one.
Bettina is waiting in the dungeon until the Coven comes to determine her fate. She is distraught, devastated, heart broken, grieving and feeling guilty, no one will let you speak and tell her side of what happened, her friends won’t look at her and she is at a lost. Jackson is in just as much of a bad way, he can’t believe that Bettina would kill Timothy, but what he saw says otherwise. He has lost his father figure and he in shock and disbelief that girl that has captured his heart could have made him a fool.
When the Coven shows up to make the decision to what Bettina’s fate will be, no one expected to have best friends reuniting. In a spectacular scene Tina and Tegan come face to face and emotions run high, Tegan goes on the defence along with several of the other Coven Members to defend the innocence of Tina. When Tina reveals what had happened to Tim she is proven innocent but many other questions and dangers arise when the name Joseph has made appearance with the Ouija board and the final words from Tim. The Coven member as well as the Swords that went to the Old World will need to work together and follow the clues being left behind. Tina must go to the Croons to unlock her powers, they need to go and rescue Warner from the Old World and defeat Joseph.
This book had me going through a wide range of emotions, it was a roller coaster the heartache, lust, jealous, grief. My heart aches for Bettina and Jackson, they have to me soul mates, seriously fate can’t be that nasty to these two. I’m just hoping that cause Tina’s magic hasn’t completely been released that is what is messing with the bond. (Please, please let it be this and that there isn’t some else for Jackson.)

When we last saw Bettina, she was locked in a cell accused of killing a Coven Leader. She is cold and hungry and waiting for the trial of her life – meeting the Coven. Jackson has his own inner demons. He wants to believe Bettina but has a hard time convincing himself he didn’t see what he saw. Jackson Lancaster also is preparing for a fight of his life. The Angle Michael is coming for him and he must be ready. Bettina is more than a distraction and he cannot handle that right now.
The Healers of Eden are working overtime with an outbreak of Witch’s flu. The Coven must take Kenneth to Crone Island for Witch’s shock. They encounter the Kraken and demons and must flee quickly to escape. Back home, they get another quest and must go back to the Old Lands.
This is the second book in the Academy series. It is written in first person (from various perspectives) in the present tense. The story is fast paced and flows smoothly from one person to another. The book ends on a cliffhanger making you wait for the next book. Looking forward to it already! I highly recommend this book along with the Coven book series.
Loved that characters from both series are coming together in another heart-pounding, action-filled quest. OMG cliffhanger as this book is in the middle of the series, and I am eagerly heading to read the next installment. On my Favourite Paranormal Series List. Highly recommend, but suggest you need to read the rest of the series for context.
This is the second book in Bettinas story and is just as good as the first. After what happened in the end of the first one she now awaits for The Coven to show up to find out her fate. Her nor Tegan (her best friend) realize that the ither is a witch. When Tegan learns that shes the one on trial she she immediately knows theres more to it and than shes innocent. I adored how Tegan and her family have Bettinas back. Now she, Jackson and friends all have to go on a quest to find out about her powers and to find their friend. I truly could not put down and couldnt get enough of them. So excited to learn what becomes of them all in the next book and how they manage and learn more about her powers!!
I loved the first book so really looked forward to reading this one and it did not let me down! Another awesome addition to this addictive series filled with magic, adventure , romance , awesome characters and some twists and turns, I just could not put this down and cannot wait to read the next book!

I am so thrilled, excited, and disappointed. I’ll explain the disappointment later, first the good stuff. Chandelle has written another book that captures your attention from the start! Tegan, Tennessee, and the Coven make an appearance in this book! That was so exciting. Poor Bettina, she just has the worse luck of any magical. Jackson, I’m excited for one thing that happens to him near the end, but he is apart of my disappointment. The major thing that happened to Jackson the fates decided the out come. I so hope it’s a mistake and the fates fix it. Poor Bettina! My major disappointment is the ending! Huge cliffhanger! OMG, now I’ve got to wait for the next book. Grrr
••• I highly recommend this book, absolutely! •••

This is the second book in The Coven: Academy Magic series by Chandelle LaVaun and I loved it! Chandelle takes the reader on a thrilling roller coaster ride full of witches, magic, and demons loaded with plenty of action, twists and turns, suspense and heartbreak that captivates you attention to the very last page. I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series Academy Magic!
WOW!!! I was pulled in from the beginning! Fabulous paranormal/fantasy world, I absolutely love this series of books, the action starts slowly and builds, The characters are well defined early on and blossom throughout the series, you can feel the tension building between the main characters early in the series which develop wonderfully as each book progresses. Very well written storey. There are no cliff hangers as such but each book always leaves you wanting more so be warned though once you start reading this series you won’t be able to put the books down so be prepared for some binge reading.
Without giving away too much, this book is just amazing. The Fallen Witch starts off right where the other one left off and the action just never stops. We get to see the Coven and the kids from Eden together. Teagan and Bettina together finally is just amazing. You can see why these two are BFF. This book will have you on the edge of your seat from page 1 until the very end and wondering what happened and when you get to read the next book. Well done Ms. LaVaun, well done
