A freak accident at Chloe’s seventeenth birthday party reveals her psychic abilities, and the community responds by condemning her as a witch who must be burned alive. As she attempts to escape across the dystopian, war-ravaged territory of her homeland, she yearns for a chance to find refuge and acceptance. On the run and haunted by ghosts from her past, Chloe finds herself at the center of a … center of a conflict between the warring factions of Cloud Lords, shape-shifters from another dimension, alternately revered as angels and reviled as demons by the subjugated human populace below.
A dispute between her people’s rulers, the virile Drakonin dragon shifters, and their sworn enemies, the night flying Vampirii, radically alters Chloe’s destiny when she brazenly intervenes in their struggle by sheltering a fallen warrior.
Chloe comes face-to-face with Aethan, a prince among the Vampirii, the most fearsome of the Cloud Lords, known for craving human blood. She will share a forbidden connection with Aethan that could ultimately lead to a place where her nascent power might bloom, provided she can survive the perilous events that will test the bounds of her resolve and love.
THE FALLEN VAMPIRE is the first volume in the FLUX & FIRMAMENT romance series for young adults. This epic adventure takes place in an entirely new universe—The Realm of the Cloud Lords, created by a catastrophic experiment at the Large Hadron Collidor, which has led to a fusion between our world and another dimension.

The Fallen Vampire is the first prequel to the Flux & Firmament: The Cloud Lords series. I made quick work of this interesting and action packed read. It never dragged and kept me engaged from beginning to end. I ended up reading it in one sitting. This book has plenty of backstory and information setting up the reader for book one. There is still plenty of things I want to know more about. I look forward to reading the next book.
I like the concept of this story. The world is not the way we know it. Earth has fallen and the few humans left are stuck between two warring factions. When Chloe accidentally reveals her ‘witch’ power she is forced to escape with help from her best friend and love interest Wayne. Chloe stumbles upon an unconscious Vampirii, a prince. She can’t seem to leave him to fend by himself so she helps him, but ends up getting them both caught.
The Fallen Vampire is a young adult paranormal romance set in a dystopian setting. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an unique read.
I voluntarily received and reviewed an advanced copy of this book
Final Rating: 5 Stars
Excellent book! I can’t wait wait to read the rest of the series! I love books about vampires!
I received an ARC for an honest review
a perfect way to start a series. I can’t wait to read more.
Very good start to a series. The main character is spunky and not afraid to stand up for herself while dealing not only with the usual adolescent problems, but also with having a “forbidden” power. The world that the story is set in is a nice blend of the familiar and the new and promises to become even more rich as we learn more about it and its history, can’t wait to see where the story goes from here.
I enjoyed this story and will be waiting for the second book to come out. Makes you think of how society can condemn another person just because they are different while others will not. I just wish Chloe would have voiced her feelings for Wayne to him instead of keeping them to herself.
This was an interesting read that held my attention. Between Chloe who is a witch and the different creatures, this book has me intrigued to see what will happen next. Can’t wait too read the next book in this series.
Enjoyed it! I am looking forward to reading the entire series!

I enjoyed this Short prequel to what seems to be another great vampire fantasy, post human government, and new order and new rulers. A brief skirmish introduces the heroine to both Dragons and Vampire. Saved from punishment for displaying even a minute amt of magic, she is offered to join a new program by a general.
Less rules than her human people and less bigotry made her willing along with a side demand. Well written, engaging, intriguing and points at more to come.
Love the new Vampire tales authors are coming up with.
