Star FBI detective Amos Decker and his colleague Alex Jamison must solve four increasingly bizarre murders in a dying rust belt town–and the closer they come to the truth, the deadlier it gets in this rapid-fire #1 New York Times bestseller. Something sinister is going on in Baronville. The rust belt town has seen four bizarre murders in the space of two weeks. Cryptic clues left at the … clues left at the scenes–obscure bible verses, odd symbols–have the police stumped.
Amos Decker and his FBI colleague Alex Jamison are in Baronville visiting Alex’s sister and her family. It’s a bleak place: a former mill and mining town with a crumbling economy and rampant opioid addiction. Decker has only been there a few hours when he stumbles on a horrific double murder scene.
Then the next killing hits sickeningly close to home. And with the lives of people he cares about suddenly hanging in the balance, Decker begins to realize that the recent string of deaths may be only one small piece of a much larger scheme–with consequences that will reach far beyond Baronville.
Decker, with his singular talents, may be the only one who can crack this bizarre case. Only this time–when one mistake could cost him everything–Decker finds that his previously infallible memory may not be so trustworthy after all…
ger scheme–with consequences that will reach far beyond Baronville.

Great read
Another great book. Love the Amos Decker character.
Absolutely love this character!
Good writing with great characters. Baldacci has a way with words.
My least favorite Amos Decker.
You’ll get dizzy from all the twists and turns of a complicated plot, but it sure keeps you interested thoughout every page of the book.
Love Amos Decker. Please do not stop writing about Amos!
Disappointing. Read all the way to the end and then had the entire book explained. Not typical of such a great author.
Another good book from one of the greats. I will admit, this one was a little slow for me at first, but the last quarter of the book made it more than worth while.
Typical Baldachi — good story with twists
This is the third book in the Memory Man series and it doesn’t disappoint!! As usual,I couldn’t put it down
Like the Amos Decker character but the other books featuring him are better.
Anything this man writes is worth reading. He has the gift of suspense to keep you turning the pages.
As with the others in “The Memory Man” series, this is a can’t put down book for me. Wonderfully written, a great protagonist, who is sympathetic and just plain brilliant. My only complaint is that Mr. Baldacci can’t write the next book fast enough for me.
Great reading. Left me satisfied.
Not a great Baldacci book, even though I love the Memory Man character. Really disappointed in this book. Not representative of his ability to write.
One of the main characters mentioned her favorite author. I have read two of his books. But I love Balducci’s books.
Love all Baldacci!!!!
Love the characters in this book series. Was not as good as previous books but still held my interest.
I can’t wait for the next one to come out in this series
