What is a girl to do when she catches her live in boyfriend of 6 years having sex with another woman in their bed? It’s time to learn to be single again. That’s just what Brooke ends up doing. I really enjoyed this book. It’s a slow burn not insta-love, well for her anyway. Brooke is lost so it takes her a moment or two to realize just how in love with Levi that she is. I liked Brooke, but i didn’t like how she let her ex unconsciously control her life. I LOVED Levi. He knew what he wanted and he didn’t let anything stop him from getting it, no matter what the obstacles were. There is no over the top drama but there is a bit of a twist near the end that I didn’t see coming. I also loved the truth that Catherine stated near the end. The secondary characters, especially Felicity and her family really added to this story. I enjoyed this story, though I only gave it 4 stars because I wish we had been able to get Levi’s perspective a little bit.
This story isn’t one to miss!
Brooke, and event planner, and completely dedicated to her job, maybe too much so that she doesn’t see what’s going on at home with her boyfriend. As she prepares to start her life over, can she trust her heart to guide her and make the right decisions?
Enter Levi, a guy she meets on New Years Eve. He sparks her interest, but she’s not ready to date yet. Can they be friends? And what happens when she finds out exactly who he is?
This book was so good! The story kept me interested, I hated to put it down! 5 stars for this one, grab it asap!
Caught in the act! No one should have to witness the type of betrayal Brooke was subjected to by someone that you trusted. Gabe, Brooke’s long time boyfriend turned out to be a insensitive douchebag. She thought her life was moving in the right direction but then it wasn’t. Brooke now finds herself single after being a couple for the last six years. She decides to embrace the single life and experience new things. She wasn’t looking for romance but she meets witty and sexy Levi. The timing is a little off for them to start a relationship. She unsuccessfully tries to fight her attraction to him so they end up spending a lot of time together. There were some unexpected turn of events that actually brought me to tears, maybe it was because I could relate to Brooke’s feelings. Brooke has a great BFF, Felicity, who was really there for her when she needed someone to lean on.
