The Fall of Sin is the second book in the dark romantic series, Sins of Saint by International Bestselling Author Bella J. ~ Mila ~Secrets. Lies. Deception. It’s all part of his vendetta, and so am I. He stole me, used me as one of his pawns by forcing me into a marriage I wanted no part of. I had to sign my name on the dotted line, and now he owns me…body, mind, and soul. That’s why I ran. I had … soul.
That’s why I ran. I had to escape the monster whose touch corrupted me. Break free from the man who seduced me, the beast who gave me a taste of the darkness.
But now I crave it. I need it. I need him.
I’m his to play with…until I break.
~ Saint ~
Distraction. Addictive. Toxic.
Mila wasn’t supposed to be anything more than a signature, a beautiful secret, a wife with no voice. Instead, she became an addiction, a complication that could cost me everything—a price I wasn’t willing to pay…until she ran from me.
Now, the game has changed, and the stakes are much higher. She thinks she’s seen the worst of me, convinced I couldn’t be more vicious and cruel. But I’m about to prove her wrong because I’ll risk everything to get what I want…
Revenge…and my wife.
Author Note: This is a dark romance and contains scenes that might offend sensitive readers. These characters are flawed with corrupted hearts and questionable intentions. If you’re looking for a sweet romance with a gentle hero and a kind heroine then this series is not for you.

Good story, bad Saint!
I started this right after finishing The Rise of Saint (book 1) and I really liked the end of that book because I thought that Mila was going to win some ground over Saint and he would change. He is uber dominant, dark and controlling. I was hoping that Mila running away from Saint would make him realize he has feelings and that when they got back together he would be a better man with her.
That actually did happen, somewhat. I won’t go into what exactly occurred because I don’t want to give away the resolution of the cliffhanger, but suffice it to say that Saint still has some room to grow. I am not sure if he will, because he likes himself the way he is and though Mila keeps fighting him on everything, she still ends up letting him control her more that I would like.
There is sometimes a fine line between BDSM pain/pleasure and actual abuse and I think this one crossed that line, but Mila hasn’t left and doesn’t want to, so she seems ok with it. The story states that Saint’s need for control and dominance went beyond the bedroom, and Mila acknowledged that she got excited more than once at the prospect of pain or the infliction of it. I think the ways in which it were done in this book were falls over that line to abuse. I kept wanting her to leave him and teach him a lesson.
I did not like the way that Saint asserted his dominance with Mila. For example there were a few times when she either didn’t do something he wanted or was doing something he didn’t approve of and he would grab her hard and it was described as his fingers slicing into her flesh. Not only that, but he was doing it for the smallest little things, like the fact that he asked her to wear red and she didn’t or she mentioned that his attitude might ruin the day for the rest of them because he might be a “Buzzkill”.
The writer infused these times also with sexual talk and innuendos to make it a bit steamy, but it still felt way too overbearing and cruel. Though I must say that this is the story. Saint wants to control Mila in every way. Mila pushes back and she lets him know that he has been cruel. Saint responds that he hasn’t been cruel, he has been dominant. He goes on to say all the ways he could make her life miserable if he were being cruel. He sees being dominant as telling her they way he wants things and having her do whatever he says. Though Mila is smart in how she fights against him.
“Have it your way, then.”
“Finally, you’re starting to get it. My way.” He smirked.
“Yeah, your way.” I held the velvet curtain in my hand. “But having it your way all the time won’t allow any room for surprises.” I flipped my hair over my shoulder and cocked a brow. “And I’m a woman with a ton of surprises up my sleeve. Too bad you’ll never have the privilege to be on the receiving end.”
So I guess I still have faith that Mila will prevail and Saint will see the error of his ways. Though Saint is definitely not all bad. He is just so afraid that if he gives an inch he will lose all control and become some kind of monster. He did start to realize he has feelings for her and they certainly have chemistry. Mila does enjoy the things he does to her and there were some scenes where Saint watched Mila sleep or held her that showed he is more than just a controlling robot.
The story regarding his revenge against his father is very interesting and I really want to find out more about his past. We already know that Mila was in the foster care system and was abused by more than one of her foster families. But Saint is giving information on himself very slowly. He allows Mila to ask him one question per day. I will definitely read the next book.
I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
The Fall of Sin is the second part of Saint and Mila’s story. Their explosive relationship is teetering on the edge of circumstance. Emotions are running high and incredible obstacles are plenty.
Bella J’s The Rise of Saint is first in the series and must be read first. If you enjoy the dark side- come this way, we have Saint.
5 ADDICTING STARS!! I am so addicted to this series….Saint and Mila are EVERYTHING. This series has me dying for more…..you must read it this series.
Oh my god.
This book picks up right where book 1 ended so if you have not read that one, STOP RIGHT NOW and go get it. TRUST ME, you will thank me later.
Dark. Captivating. Addictive.
Once I started reading, I wanted to do nothing else but turn the pages and see what would come next in this roller coaster of a story.
Up and downs, twists and turns.
Mila and Saint’s journey is NOT for the faint of heart.
SO MUCH HAPPENED. But oh my god!!!! I absolutely LOVED seeing Saint and Mila’s story — and relationship — grow and evolve.
This book is an absolute MUST-READ.
Top 2020 fave! SIX STARS.
BOOK REVIEW
Title: The Fall of Sin
Series: The Sins of Saint #2
Author: Bella J.
Genre: Dark Romance, Arranged Marriage

.
“If I keep you,” he traced a gental finger down my jaw, “will you continue to fight me?” I leaned my head to the side, deeper into his touch. “With every breath.”
“Temptation on its own is a powerful thing. Paired with the darkeness, it’s a force to be reckoned with. Unstoppable… Tell me, Mila. Am I the God who helps you defeat temptation, or the devil who forces you to your knees… right before you succumb?”
SWOON As much as I loved Saint in book 1, I love him even more in book 2!! The Fall of Sin is so steamy… we are finally getting past some of the angst from book 1 and moving towards exploring this new relationship between Saint and Mila. And I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT.
Saint is still his sexy dominate self, but it’s even better now as he starts to develop feelings for Mila. She becomes more to him than just a possession or a means to an end, and I think this makes me like her character that much more also.
I really struggled with Mila in book 1, and there are still a few moments/decisions where I was yelling at my kindle and telling her not to do that! But overall, I like her so much more in book 2. She really starts to exude this confidence in herself, and I think a lot of it comes from how Saint starts to see her.
She cupped my cheek with her soft palm, staring up at me as if I was her light in the dark. But it was the other way around. She was the light that tamed my darkness, the sun that conquered the night and all the shadows that lurked within it.
Happy reading!!
The little orphan in her wants to stay and finally find the love she never had as a child. Yet the adult in her wants to run away from him for the danger the bad man always brings. The thing is a man like Saint does not take no real easy and when Mila attempts to get away there is no place she can hide. Now in the first book we see Saint getting what he wants but in the second book Bella J. doesn’t make it easy for him when it comes to Mila. The chemistry is all there and boy does Bella J. know how to pack the heat leaping off the pages. There is are so many secrets and lies that in many ways it makes you wonder why does Mila stay. Don’t get me wrong Saint is every girls fantasy of an Alpha man but man for Mila it might a lot she can handle. We see a little more of the real reason why Saint wants her and man cannot wait to see how Mila can really be the woman to tame Saint. Another cliffhanger but when it comes to Bella J. you know it is going to be worth cannot wait to see what happens.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
This review is for book three fo the series but I read all three at one go so if I backtrack some, forgive me. I LOVED this dark and twisted mafia read. A series filled with Revenge and hidden agendas, you never see the twists coming.
Each book in this trilogy had a BAM ending. I was left on my toes with excitement for the next read. Mila and Saint were dark and sultry and Yes. I love a twisted read and this series delivered.
Dark romance done right is an ART and Bella J rocks it.
The author hooks you on the characters and then slowly stitches this dark world around you until you are dying to take part.
I wasn’t sure I would love this series as much as I did, the start had me on edge, but after that first chapter I was excited and hooked to see where it went Just enough twists Mohave you in love with every charter you meet until some huge twists at the end that have you yelling at your kindle.
The Fall of Sin is sinfully good. Dark, intense, well written and explosive. I can’t wait to read book three.
This second book takes off where the first book ended. This was one whirlwind ride of a book. Saint and Mila have begun to be different towards each other. Saint is still his alpha a**, but is starting to show a different side to Mila. Mila is still her defiant self to Saint, but also gives in a little. It is great to see their banter with each other. I absolutely love Aunt Elena. She is so motherly towards Elena and is somewhat the voice of reason. She tells each of them what they need to hear, not what they want. There is some more action, secrets, lies, betrayal, lust and more twists. This is a fast paced read that kept me glued to it and not wanting to put it down until I finished. I am really loving this series and can not wait for the next.
“I’m powerless against the lust that consumes me when you look at me with those innocent doe eyes.”
“To be able to give in and accept whatever the hell this was between between us would be liberating. The fall of sin.”
What an amazing follow-up for The Rise of Saint! I love everything about Saint and Mila’s story! It’s everything a dark romance should be! FIVE HUGE STARS!!!
* I received an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review *
The second book in The Sins of Saint series. Bella J. you are killing me!! I would have never been able to wait for book three, so I am glad I am reading this book when I am. Just like in book one we will end this book with a cliffhanger.
“My little, segreto. If only you knew the destruction we’d leave in our wake.”
Her warm breath danced across my neck.
“The world can go down in flames around us. I. Don’t. Care.”
I was happy to see a little more of Saint as a human being in this book. While he does not fully let go, we get to see more than just his overbearing side. I hope in the next book we get to learn more about what happened with him and his father. I will say I want to smack him sometimes because if he would just not be so secretive and treat Mila like she was his partner she would not be easily swayed. He is the reason she does not trust him, but he is too controlling to see that.
“My path to hell has already been paved with sin. But you, Mila…you are the one sin I’ll indulge in until the flames engulf me.”
I was happy to see Mila easing up a bit. While I am sure it was hard for her to stop fighting Saint every step of the way at some point, she just had to let him control some things. I am not surprised with her upbringing that she did not want to submit but in the end she enjoyed losing control to him. I still have so many questions when it comes to her family and I hope we get the answers soon because it has been hard waiting to find out all the secrets!
There was a time when I would have done anything to get away from him. But now, as I watched the distance between us increase with every passing second, I had to fight the urge to stop the car and run back to him. Back to the monster who took me, broke me, and made me his.
I love this trilogy so far. I am so invested in their story I cannot wait to see what happens next. Bell J. does an amazing job keeping the reader on the edge of their seats. I love when authors give us more than just the romance between the main characters. The supporting characters in this story play a part too. I am anxious to see Mila and Saint’s romance play out and to see what will happen to all of them once everything is revealed.
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is this gifted author at her best! This story continues straight on from when ‘1 ended. Far from Mila being the submissive and wife with no voice, Saint finds himself on a mission of revenge as his feelings toward Mila are a complication and addiction, and he will risk it all to get her back. This is a well written story which is filled with off the charts chemistry, and is action packed, as well as having secrets, twists, witty banter, lies, deception, and love which all leads to a riveting, dark, and all-consuming read. I cannot wait to read the next book, and I recommend for all.
The hits just keep coming as does the heat and power of this couple together!
I am on the edge of my seat with these books and each time it ends I want to scream! Bella J just makes you suffer with questions and the suspense is torturing me!
I love it though! Makes for great reading and knowing I will get more answers next book but man I need more answers!
Much preferred this book than the first, there was more action in it to balance out the steam (personal preferences, know many readers who love steamier the better).
As it’s the second book of a trilogy I can’t really say much without giving things away, but you’ll be kept on your toes with all the bombs being dropped. Cannot wait to finally get all the missing pieces in book 3.
Definitely a must click.
I started this book the moment I finished reading The Rise of Saint, I just had to have more of Saint and Mila’s story.
This dark captive romance series is deliciously dark, tantalizingly twisted and epically emotional. In The Fall of Sin, everything start to change…original plans begin to twist, feelings begin to shift, and more truths begin to reveal themselves. Neither of them could have ever expected the outcome of their beginning or the unexpected trials they’d face along the way.
I can’t get enough of this series and can’t wait for Book 3!!
This story picks up where book one ended and I’m already waiting for the next one. Mila has had enough and runs away from Saint but he’s not going to let that happen cause Mila is his pawn but he’s not realizing that he’s actually fallen in love with her without even realizing that’s what it is. Mila knows there’s many missing pieces shes not aware of but can’t get away from Saint. Can’t wait for it all to come full circle
The Fall of Sin, book two in the Sins of Saint series. The story continues right were we left off in book 1, The Rise of Saint. Mila had just escaped from Saint, and straight to a car with a familiar face in it.
The whole series is a very fast paced story, intense and filled with dark desires.
“Things had changed. I didn’t know how, where or when. But it changed. His touch turned from vile and invading to exquisite and welcomed. And now I could no longer distinguish between right and wrong, wanted and unwanted.”
I really liked that Saint didn’t change that much, because of Mila. Maybe a little, toward her. But otherwise, he’s still cold and dominant.
“Tell me, Mila. Am I the God who helps you defeat temptation, or the devil who forces you to your knees…right before you succumb?”
Can’t wait for the next book!
“I will hunt for you even in death.”
This is the second book continuing the story of Saint and Mila!, fantastic read, these characters are well written and the continuing story is fantastic!, can’t wait for more. I’d definitely recommend this book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This series is gripping with steam, angst, revenge and plot twists!
Saint and Mila’s twisted relationship continues as more is revealed about Saint’s revenge on his father. But when things look like it all might fall in to place, a few jealous words may destroy it all. This book ends with a cliffhanger that leaves you reeling and needing The Sins of Saint ASAP!
Fall of SIN!
A non-stop explosion that kept me devouring the pages and living off every powerful word. This story was amazing with endless intrigue that had me riding the edge from the first page to the last. It’s thrilling and exciting with a just the right amount of suspense.
