Never a dull moment. Loved the characters and the humor. Excellent read. Made me both laugh and cry.
I read the series first and felt I knew the characters and picked up this one. I always enjoy Nora Roberts books, just wish I had the funds to purchase more.
Her books are always a page turner for me.
All the MacKade books are excellent. This is no exception. It’s not the first time I”ve read it and it probably won’t be the last. Well crafted characters and storylines. This author may create series but never leaves you dangling at the end so she can sell another book. Each book stands on it’s own and the reader is left satisfied that they had to whole story. They are also left with a desire to read more stories about this family. Great book.
Another winning series by Nora Roberts
I enjoy paranormal reads once in awhile.
I enjoyed this book alot.
Excellent read.
I’ve got this in paper back. I bought it thru Bookbub for my Kindle. I love Nora. She does a lot of research into each topic and her understanding of romance and ghosts is extraordinary. Can’t go wrong with Nora Roberts!
I like everything by Nora Roberts.
This was a very sweet story, incorporating h,istory of the Civil War and making it real with its characters. Rebecca has a PhD in Psychiatry, but is interested in paranormal activity. Her friend from college married into a family that has property in Antietam, where ghosts have been sighted and felt. The family of MacKade consists of four brothers; three of whom are married. When Rebecca comes to town to document the paranormal activity, Shane MacKade (the last single brother) has met his match! A lady killer and proud of it, he realizes that little Rebecca holds more power over him than he would care to admit. This is a great story! You won’t regret reading this one!
As the final story of the Rafe brothers this did not disappoint. Nora Roberts has such a way of drawing you into the characters that by the end of the 4 books you know the family well.
As always a winner if you are a Roberts fan. This the last in the series and you really should read them in order so that you will absorb the flavor. I have visited the town that the story is set in and could easily envision the settings. It is a stunning part of America.
Always enjoy Nora Roberts books
Loved this book!!! So very good!!! Gotta read the others in this series!!!
I really liked this book but I wish I had read the others in the series first.
Could not put it down.
One of my favorite Nora Roberts books. I really like this series. Interesting characters with a great family life.
I loved this book. I have read & enjoyed the whole series. THE FALL OF SHANE MacKADE is my favorite. The characters of Shane & Rebecca Knight, his heroine, are excellently fleshed out & well-nuanced, so human yet very likeable. I found the story to be perfectly paced — their respective issues, the revelation, sharing & understanding of those issues. This can actually be said of the other books in the series, but I’m partial to Shane & Rebecca. In this book, as in the first three books of the series (& her other books), Ms Roberts injected humorous moments , affording me many chuckle moments. The series contains a supernatural thread revolving around the Civil War era, a period I am very interested in. This thread came to a satisfying & logical conclusion in Shane’s & Rebecca’s story. Throughout the series, Ms Roberts sprinkled much information about the Civil War without making it feel like an infodump. I would recommend reading the whole series & experience the challenge of choosing a favorite. (I fully admit to being a thoroughgoing fan of Ms Roberts & her body of work.)
