When Colin Cavendish, the new earl of Drayson, informs Lucy Beresford that she and her mother need to vacate the house they’ve called home for the past two years, Lucy is fit to be tied. They have no money, no relations they can turn to for help, and nowhere to go. How dare the earl break the promise his father had made to the Beresfords without so much as a twinge of conscience?Fate plays her … plays her hand when Lucy discovers the earl unconscious and injured in the middle of the road. When he awakens with no recollection of who he is, Lucy seizes the opportunity to teach the earl a much-needed lesson in humility and tells him that he is nothing more than a mere servant. Her servant, in fact.
And thus begins the charming tale of a pompous lord and an impetuous young woman, caught together in a web so tangled that it begs the question: Will they ever get out?

Cute and clean nice read
Unique, was well written, I would read more from this author.
An excellent book. I often read regentcy books, this is the first time I have actually “giggled” while reading one. I loved this book.
Enjoyable fast read. Not very realistic about amnesia but a somewhat unique plot. I like the main characters and wanted them to solve their differences.
loved the witty, clean romance!
I very much enjoyed this book. The banter between the Lucy and Colin were delightful. As a vicar’s daughter Lucy is adventurous and unpredictable. This book engaged me from beginning to end. Lucy was always doing things she shouldn’t.
Fun read!
The story reminded me of the movie “Overboard” with a different time period and setting. It was entertaining, but somewhat predictable. f
Essentially, a regency version of “Overboard,” I loved this book to pieces. It had me laughing from the very first page until the last. I’ve already recommended it to others!
Enjoyable read, feel good story
Lord Drayson gives the tenants notice that there moving so he can sell the Tanylewood Manor. This upsets the daughter(Lucy) of the tenant, the widow of a vicar who was that they could live there until she died. Lucy finds the Lord out cold on the road after falling off his horse. Pompous lord, impetuous young woman, loss of memory, master becomes servant to teach a lesson in humility, personalities clash, a bit of guilt makes for a delightful comedy.
I have always wanted to see someone of the upper crust get a taste of their own medicine when it comes to members of the so called polite society. It will make you laugh, worry, cry and love! I’m reading the second in the series. Loved every minute of this book.
I love this book. This is a perfect example of overthinking a situation. I am so glad it ended the way it did. I cannot wait to read more by this author.
What an enjoyable read! There are some wonderful, amusing dialogs, a sparring of words, between our hero and heroine. A refreshing story set in the country. No husband hunting debutantes, no debauched rogues.
I have added Rachael Anderson to my list of readable authors.
Loved this book. The characters were delightful and the plot very entertaining. One of the best books I’ve read this year. Excited to read more by this author. Highly recommend
Goo read! Very entertaining book, recommended for reading.
This is a sweet love story that begins with an arrogant lord and a naive young woman. He demands she and her mother move out of a house he owns and he suffers an accident right after leaving her. She works to teach him a lesson but grows herself along the way. Not usually my kind of book but very enjoyable and I’m interested in more by this author.
A really fun and enjoyable romance. I loved the trickery surrounding the amnesia. Loved this couple.
I’m not usually a fan of historicals but this was wonderful! Can’t wait to read the sequel!
Interesting story-line but I skimmed a lot. This is a good read for a teenager.
