When Colin Cavendish, the new earl of Drayson, informs Lucy Beresford that she and her mother need to vacate the house they’ve called home for the past two years, Lucy is fit to be tied. They have no money, no relations they can turn to for help, and nowhere to go. How dare the earl break the promise his father had made to the Beresfords without so much as a twinge of conscience?Fate plays her … plays her hand when Lucy discovers the earl unconscious and injured in the middle of the road. When he awakens with no recollection of who he is, Lucy seizes the opportunity to teach the earl a much-needed lesson in humility and tells him that he is nothing more than a mere servant. Her servant, in fact.
And thus begins the charming tale of a pompous lord and an impetuous young woman, caught together in a web so tangled that it begs the question: Will they ever get out?

Lies, lies, lies and from a vicar’s daughter! This was a fun, clean book with wonderful romance. Things go well, things turn bad , then they are resolved to a very happy ever after! Looking forward to other stories in this series.
This was a quick, easy and sweet read. I loved the characters and the premise of the book. If an amnesic lord feels the need to end up on my doorstep, I would not mind at all.
I enjoyed the mostly humorous plot between the characters of Lucy and Lord Drayson, although I did not enjoy the length of time it took Drayson to come to his senses about Lucy.
Good story and no yukky sex.
I love this genre and read a lot. Some are good, some not so much. This one is a gem!
Delightful! Kept me guessing, loved the resolve.
I enjoyed from the first page.
A wonderful love story with a few chuckles sprinkled throughout.
A delightful, humorous and entertaining book!
I listened to this story on Audible. The narrator was excellent very distinctive words, clearly spoken easily understood and not rushed. I was delighted the entire time while listening to Lucy and Lord Drayson as they bantered with each other. Then gradually their relationship turned more romantic. I love when a story goes from banter to love! Although, the agony Lucy felt in between that time made my own heart feel for her. All the more sweet when they declared their feelings and turned this story into a happily ever after. A very enjoyable story.
As far as I know, Rachael Anderson is not a Christian author, but this was clean enough–and clever enough–for a Christian author like me to absolutely love.
Lucy is delightful, as is the story. Colin not as bad as he seemed at first, especially since he was willing to work as hard as he did, having the feelings that this was not his natural life. What a good sport. I enjoyed the banter between them. . .they brought laugh out loud moments.
Lord Draysons incision was interesting
This is my favorite by this author- I recommend it to all my family and friends. It was funny and original and it had a happy ending. If you haven’t read it you should get it and read it right now!
Keeps you interested
Well, what happens when a girl who never lies just tries to spin a tale? She can catch herself a Lord – and he would not even be really angry at her. While the premise and the course of events is not particularly realistic, the story is funny and heartwarming and was a pleasure to read. And everybody was happy in the end!
The story line continued without endless pages of graphic passion.
I love this book is romantic funny a page turner wonderful characters and easy to read
A sweet love story.
A cute story with a fun plot. Definitely light reading, but well done and entertaining.
