From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a new deliciously dangerous alpha hero in The Fall of Legend, the first book in the brand new and utterly addictive Legend trilogy. We come from two different worlds.I’m from the streets. She might as well live in an ivory tower.I made my living with my fists. I doubt she could even throw a punch. Our paths never should have crossed. We never … punch.
Our paths never should have crossed.
We never should have met.
That doesn’t change the facts.
I would sell my soul to taste those red lips.
Fight the devil himself to hear her laugh.
Burn in hell to have a single night.
Scarlett Priest shouldn’t even know men like me exist, but sometimes temptation is stronger than will.
If this is how I go down, it’ll be worth every second of the fall.

Gabriel Legend is a man with the proverbial weight of his world on his shoulders. He’s of the streets. His fists have seen their way onto more than one face. He’s not some wealthy overlord sitting in a penthouse. No, he’s the opposite of that. And then there’s Scarlett. She is his opposite. She’s the wealthy one. A socialite who wants to be loved, especially by her dad. And she wants the delicious Gabriel and means to have him. Will Gabriel allow himself to be had? He’s knows better…
If you’re looking for a quick resolution and an HEA, I suggest you hold off on reading The Fall of Legend until all three installments of the Legend Trilogy have been released, because you won’t find either of those two things in this first part of the trilogy. This installment sets up Gabriel and Scarlett’s worlds, so there’s a lot going on here. I can’t tell exactly where it’s going, but what I do know is that I love Gabriel and Scarlett, especially Scarlett. She evolves quite a bit in a relatively short time frame. She’s awesome! Gabriel is an alpha to be sure, but less of the controlling, perfectly composed type, and more of the wounded bear type. I loved their chemistry – it’s yummy. I can’t wait to see where Meghan takes these two next when House of Scarlett releases.
I received an ARC for a honest review.
5 Legend Stars. I was hooked automatically. Meghan is one of my go to authors and never disappoints me. There were still lots of secrets about Gabriels’s life that you just couldn’t help but want to know more. I feel like he totally has two different sides and totally intrigues me. As for Scarlett…wow! I’ll have to be honest, I think I like her more than Gabriel for now. Lol She really just wants her father’s love and approval. The chemistry between Gabriel and Scarlett was amazing! Can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next.
This is the story of Gabriel (Gabe) Legend & Scarlett Priest. Gabe owns a Night Club named Legend. Scarlett owns her own business. They meet in the most unconventional way. The attraction is overwhelming between them when we meet. There are side characters in this story, also. I’m not one to give spoilers away. I can only tell you this is absolutely a must read. The reader is left with a cliffhanger at the end and I can’t wait for the next book to come out to see what will happen next. This is a detailed well written story. Meghan March, I can’t tell you how much I loved this book. I have to say Kudos to you on this one.
If you’ve never read a Meghan March book you don’t know what your missing!! The Fall of legend has it all!! Heat, growing love, plot twists and of course awesome characters that just suck you in and leave you wanting more!! A must read!!
Scarlett Priest and Gabriel Legend come from completely different worlds. But she has something that he needs, and he’s ready to go to the mat to get her help. And, although Scarlett doesn’t know it at first, it doesn’t take long for her to see that there is much more to Gabriel Legend than she could have possibly seen coming, and that more is going to change her is every single way…
Okay, so I’m all in…I know that if the first book in the new Legend Trilogy by author Meghan March has me feeling this kind of way that it’s on. Three books? You bet. I’m there for the whole ride, y’all. Because, once again, the lovely and talented Ms. March has created a whole new world (is that singing that I hear…?) with a whole new set of characters to get to know and love. And love them, I do.
Meghan does a bang-up job of setting the mood for the trilogy with this first book, showing us what makes these characters tick and why. I am truly excited to see what’s ahead for Scarlett and Gabriel, and I know that Meghan will deliver like nobody’s business. An easy 4 stars, THE FALL OF LEGEND should be high atop your book pile, friends. Go forth and devour…
Another scintillating book from Meghan March. She is the master at these trilogies that rock my world. No one does it better than her. She gives you so much, yet still leaves you yearning for more. Legend and Scarlett are unlike any other characters she has given us. They are special and their story is special. This is an amazing book that you want to cuddle up with and read with on a cold Fall night! Pick this book up – you will not regret it!
Holy freaking wow!!!! I can’t even with this book! It started with one hell of a bang and oh my goodness, it had me hooked from that first sentence!!
This is why Meghan is one my absolute favourite authors of all time. She always brings it with her stories, and continues to outdo herself each and every time she writes a new book. I am honestly in awe of her mind and the worlds that she creates. I can’t help but become immersed in her worlds and not want to come up for air.
For a long time Mount was my number one guy of Meghan’s, but Gabriel Legend has knocked him off of his pedestal by far!! There aren’t enough words to describe how freaking awesome Gabriel Legend is. A brooding hero who just captures your heart in an instant, I honestly cannot wait to get to know this hero as the trilogy goes on. And as for Scarlett, oh my god I love her! You can just connect with her on such a level, if I’m being honest I think she’s the first of Meghan’s characters who I felt an extreme connection with, with the thing’s that go on in her life.
Of course as this is a trilogy, in true Meghan fashion, she leaves us at the end of the book dying of anticipation to have more. I for one cannot wait to see what else is in store for Gabriel and Scarlett in the rest of this trilogy.
5 stars!
In the bookworm world there is one certain thing. When Meghan March writes a book you just must read it asap cause this author has that certain quality of writing extremely addicting stories that you won’t be able to put down and in case of series you’ll be counting days until the next book will be published.
“Fall of Legend” was yet another captivating start to series that focus on Gabriel Legend and Scarlett Priest who have undeniable connection between each other and despite different worlds they’re coming from something always push them towards one another. And now I just cannot wair for December when we will get the second book in this wonderful trylogy.
I’m sorry I cannot give you more but I keep my no spoiler rule so that’s all I can say here. Beside Legend and Scarlett we have many interesting characters that you would love and one character that you, same as me, would hate and wish him slow, painful death and here I meant of course Chadwick-the ass.
What I like here a lot too is different kind of hero that was Legend. He is not fully typical Meghan March main male character, because he sometimes shows a little of his vulnerability. And don’t get me wrong I think it was good idea to mix male hero a little bit.
Overall as with all Meghan’s book I rate is huge five Legend stars.
I can’t help but get a bit excited when Meghan March announces a new series. But I heard this book was going to have a fighter/boxer alpha male and I nearly squealed… ok, ok I totally squealed!! I love fighter books!! I love wounded alpha males that can take anyone out!! Then, Mrs. March released the cover and I… was… GONE!!! Lord, did you LOOK at that cover?!?! I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a cover that fit the inside words so perfectly! Gabriel is the wounded warrior I see on the cover. He’s a ton more too and I can’t wait for Meghan March to bring him out in the open so we can see all of him… I totally meant that metaphorically but I probably wouldn’t turn him away either 😉
Scarlet comes off as the stronger of the two. She’s seriously chasing Gabriel in The Fall of Legend and I love that!! I love a woman that isn’t scared to go for what she wants and Scarlet knows exactly what she wants. She wants Gabriel!! I love that this story doesn’t seem to follow the same directions as her other trilogies. Gabriel is not a millionaire that has his life all settled. Nope, Gabriel has issues and problems stacked all against him. They both do. I’m thrilled to see them taking those problem stacks down, brick by brick! I think I’m more excited for this series than I have been for her last several!!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a new deliciously dangerous alpha hero in The Fall of Legend, the first book in the brand new and utterly addictive Legend Trilogy.
Overall Grade:
How do you know you’re reading a Meghan March romance?
A hot, broken, primal hero who lives in the gray area of morality
An intelligent, attractive heroine who saves the hero from himself
Plenty of plot twists and turns, moments of angst and heat meant to build your voracious appetite for story
A story that keeps you at the edge of your seat
A sensual, “fire on the page” chemistry between the hero and heroine
A cliffhanger that leaves you aching for more
And March’s newest book, the first of the Legend trilogy, The Fall of Legend, holds all these cards and more.
I love Scarlett. From her name to her style, she’s a heroine to emulate. She wants a messy life. How many romance heroines are driven to achieve that? Typically, their stories are wrapped up with a neat bow. Instead, March creates Scarlett with layers. At surface level, she appears put together, beautiful, iconic. However, Scarlett’s depth lies in her want for more, to be more than society’s perceptions of her. From her business to her home to her friends, Scarlett is a real person trapped in the life of a socialite. This dichotomy coupled with “daddy issues” often drives her to perfection. Yet, March allows us to see her true depth through her response to Legend and her insistence on pursuing the messy in life. Honestly, Scarlett’s character is the essence of this story.
Additionally, I love that Gabriel can’t help himself around Scarlett. He exists under her spell. There is nothing better than an alpha male hero who loses his control. It generally leads to the fireworks of the story. He’s caustic, a loner with a small group of friends because his past haunts him. This is a perfect storm for his undoing and his eventual renaissance in later books. And it will be glorious, but not quite yet. Something about Gabriel Legend gets under your skin, and he leaves a permanent mark.
Scarlet and Gabriel’s chemistry is palpable and electric. It jumps off the page like an electric current. And it’s clear from the beginning of the story. March uses this to create the tension of their romance. They struggle to be together, and the reader feels the profundity of their situation. To me, that’s fundamental to a romance where opposites attract. March could teach a master class in writing this type of chemistry because it belies all of her books. These two, Scarlett and Legend, are all need, want, and lust, and it is incredibly hot.
However, most important to this story, is its message that twines through Scarlett and Gabriel’s connection. It’s this message of living a messy life. On the outside, Scarlett’s life seems perfect, but it isn’t. She doesn’t bemoan that fact, though. Instead, she’s seeking after the “real” life. She recognizes the ability to complete this through Gabriel. It’s March’s reminder that the curated life on social media or in life doesn’t mean anything if we’re not “living” it fully. In our society and time, it’s an important message to consider. This message is the power that drives this particular story, and I cannot wait for its revelation and resolution in the next two books of the series.
This is what I know. You can count on Meghan March’s books to grab your heart, heat your blood, and keep you coming back for more. The Fall of Legend is this type of book. Just be ready to wait a bit for Scarlett and Gabriel Legend to find their happy ending. You won’t have to wait long, but you’ll be anxiously awaiting its arrival.
Meghan March has yet again brought me another addicting story that makes me want stay up late at night to read. Gabriel Legend has a history that he wants to change and Scarlett is the girl to do that. I’m absolutely drawling to Gabriel by his need to survive and do what must be done to be who he wants to be, not what is expected of him. The chemistry between Gabriel and Scarlett is instant, hot, and bookworthy epic. I absolutely need more of this story, ASAP.
5 LEGENDary Stars!
Every time Meghan March announces that she is releasing a new book I run to Amazon and preorder and then impatiently wait for the release. This time was no exception. And WOW! The Fall Of Legend was worth the wait. It was an addictive page turner that I could not put down. And this is only the 1st book in the trilogy. As always, she writes a totally original hotter than hell antihero and a sassy leading lady. And Scarlet’s friends? I wanna hang with them. Hilarious! Such amazing characters all around. Really, how can you beat a street fighter and a socialite, opposites attract story line? But that cliffy ending. Now I have to wait until December 10th to see what happens!
Scarlett Priest is smart, sophisticated and stunning. She has a bright future ahead of her and one day seems to get kidnapped while on a run. What she ever expects is to meet the Legend, Gabriel Legend that is. One meeting has her captivated and wanting to see him again. Fortunately for her they’ve made a deal.
Gabriel Legend isn’t the typical man Ms. March writes about but he’s sexier than sin. He can have any woman he wants but he finds himself infatuated with Scarlett. Will Gabriel be able to keep his hands off her or will they get together? So many questions and so many answers we still need to know and wait for! The Fall of Legend is book 1…we have to wait a bit to see how their story unfolds! 4 stars.
Desperate to do anything to salvage his failing club, Gabriel Legend has a possible solution dropped in his lap…or rather his office floor.
Scarlett Priest never turns away from a challenge…and she won’t when the opportunity to get close to the elusive Gabriel Legend is the next challenge put before her.
Will she succeed in meeting his demands to help him save his club…or will she fall victim to her own self-doubt??
4 stars!
Gabriel Legend made his money through illegal fighting but he’s gone legit now and never wants to go back to where he was and what he did. To make a life for himself, he put all of his money into Legend, a club that was sure to be the talk of the town. And it was, just not in a positive way. Instead of bringing in the customers, a shooting on opening night has decimated his chances of succeeding. An empty club doesn’t bring in the money.
That’s where Scarlett comes in. As popular socialite, Legend wants her to work her magic to save his club. However, he didn’t convince her through conventional ways and now that she’s agreed to help, he isn’t prepared for all that she is.
The Fall of Legend is an addictive start to the Legend Trilogy and gives us only a taste of what’s to come. It’s the best mix of mystery, seduction, danger, and feels, and I couldn’t put it down.
Legend is hiding from a violent past and it’s only a matter of time before it catches up to him. He shoulders so much pain and regret and my heart broke for him. He wants to make things right and I love the alpha in him that guarantees vengeance. A good guy with a bad past, he has to protect the people he loves. He doesn’t let new people in but something about Scarlett intrigues him. It’s almost like she’s put a spell on him, making him break his own rules and he doesn’t know why.
“This woman. Goddammit. She’s something else. She’d have to be, because there’s no other explanation for why the hell I’m staring through a two-way mirror at her while I think about selling my soul to make her mine.
But she isn’t. She can’t be.
I don’t do connections. I don’t let new people into my circle. It’s too risky. Too dangerous.
After all, the last woman I loved ended up dead.”
There is a connection between Legend and Scarlett and try as they may to deny it, they fail miserably. I loved the intensity between them and the surprising feelings that start to grow. The push and pull only heightens the sexual tension and makes it impossible to resist one another.
“The man I’m standing toe to toe with has his attention completely focused on me in a way that sends a charge through my body like someone plugged me into a wall socket. He is larger than life.
And life is messy.
Or at least, the life I want is messy.
Even if I only get to have that messy life for a single night, I’m taking it.
Tonight, all bets are off. Tonight, I’m going to live.”
Scarlett’s life isn’t perfect and she has a lot of internal struggles to work through. Her growth throughout this first book is well written and though she is vulnerable at times she has a backbone and takes charge of her life. I love that she knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it.
“I’ve heard him laugh. I’ve seen him smile. I’ve tasted his lips.
And I want more.
That’s the only thing I’m completely certain about right now.
More Gabriel Legend is the only cure for whatever is happening to me.”
And just as things seem to be falling into place, there is a cliffy that leaves us crushed.
Overall, The Fall of Legend is a strong start to the trilogy. I loved getting sucked into Legend and Scarlett’s world. The dangers are real, the mystery is intriguing, the sexy time is hot, and the emotions are intense. And this just the first third of their story, leaving us thirty for more!! House of Scarlett and The Fight for Forever are coming soon, and I can’t wait!!
“Before you, I would’ve said there’d never be anything I wanted more than the life I thought I was supposed to have.” He lifts his tortured blue gaze to meet mine. “I know now that I was wrong. It’s you, Scarlett. You’ll always be what I want most. But I can’t have you.”
Gah! This is some of Meghan March’s best work yet!
I just started working and I am in the the last few weeks of my Master’s courses and I COULDN’T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN! Lord, baby Jesus this book is SMOKING HOT!
Super alpha male who has just the right amount of tenderness and a super quiet bad “A” women who I want to be! So much tension in this new book and that cliff hanger will leave you on the edge! You won’t want to miss this book and I cannot wait to find out what happens next!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean, what can I say other than Meghan March have written one hell of a story that have left me speechless. I’m always excited to read her books because all of them suffice my literary needs. She knows how have her readers falling in with the characters that she creates because you have no other choice but become one with them. This was how I felt about Scarlett and Gabe, I loved to how she became alive when she was with him and I cannot wait to see how she evolves over the course of the next books. Then we have Gabriel Legend, he is exactly what I love when it comes to a male lead. Alpha, sexy, dark, dangerous, protector and damaged. I will most definitely be in my little corner waiting in anticipation for the next book because Meghan always gives us one hell of a “oh sh*t” moment.
Excellent read by Meghan March. Gabe Legend and Scarlett Priest great chemistry at first encounter. Both are strong will people with determination to succeed.
The Fall of Legend was epically good! Gabriel Legend has a new nightclub that isn’t doing so well and he thinks socialite, Scarlett Priest could be his saving grace. Gabe is from the wrong side of the tracks and has fought his way to the top. But if his club doesn’t start doing better he’s going to fall back down. Scarlett Priest comes from money, but works her butt off to make it on her own. The poor girl has some serious daddy issues and my heart broke for her. Scarlett is very attracted in Gabe and pursues him. He doesn’t feel worthy of her but doesn’t want to see her with anyone else either. I enjoyed the push and pull of their relationship and can’t wait to see what happens next. And it sounds like Gabe has a lot of secrets that I can’t wait to uncover. Great start to this new series!
