From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a new deliciously dangerous alpha hero in The Fall of Legend, the first book in the brand new and utterly addictive Legend trilogy. We come from two different worlds.I’m from the streets. She might as well live in an ivory tower.I made my living with my fists. I doubt she could even throw a punch. Our paths never should have crossed. We never … punch.
Our paths never should have crossed.
We never should have met.
That doesn’t change the facts.
I would sell my soul to taste those red lips.
Fight the devil himself to hear her laugh.
Burn in hell to have a single night.
Scarlett Priest shouldn’t even know men like me exist, but sometimes temptation is stronger than will.
If this is how I go down, it’ll be worth every second of the fall.

Gabriel Legend has a vision of what he wants his life to be, he has a plan but that doesn’t include Scarlett. He definitely didn’t see her coming but once he did, oh boy the sparks fly! Scarlett isn’t any more ready for him than he was for her. She’s a goody two shoes, people thinks she’s perfect but wait till they see the “Bad Scarlett”.
Legend has a close circle of friends and likes it that way. Scarlett is mesmerized by him from the beginning. Can these two build on something that never should have started?
I can’t wait for book 2 of this trilogy!!!
The Fall of Legend, the first of Meghan March’s newest trilogy, had me sucked in from the very beginning. Actually I was fascinated with Gabriel Legend since the Dirty Mafia duet. We only got snippets of him, but it left an impression. We now get his story and so far it is fantastic! Since this is the first of the series, we get some of his background and what made him the way he is now. He’s made a name for himself, unfortunately things are not going so well presently, his newest club is on the verge of failing and he is in need of some dire help. This is where Scarlett Priest comes in. Her life is the complete opposite of Gabriel. She comes from a privileged family, she has a successful career and seen to have the perfect life. She is adored and followed, she has the ability to influence the public and she is exactly what is needed.
I loved the relationship between Gabriel and Scarlett! Right from their first “meeting” you knew the two of them together were going to be explosive. The sexual tension was intense throughout the story, but it was what they gave each other that really resonated. But as their connection grew stronger, their past starts to interfere and the anticipation of what is to come is keeping me on my toes. We get so much about Gabriel and Scarlett, individually and together in this first book but I know so much more is to come. I can’t wait!
The man,the myth, the LEGEND!!
It’s so difficult to put this story into words. Gabriel Legend has lived a hard life. Scarlett has lived a life that has been the complete opposite. When a weird twist of fate brings them together the attraction is immediate. Scarlett is looking for someone to fill an emptiness inside her. Gabriel is interested but something is holding him back. I can’t wait to dive into the next book to see where this story leads. Another A++++ book by Meghan March!!
I honestly don’t have enough words right now for how exhilarating and magnificent I found Fall Of Legend to be! It’s NOTHING like imagined it to be. It’s a whole lot BETTER and WAY MORE SIZZLING!
Fall Of Legend is a slow burn romance that felt like a steady flame burning hot and bright. It leaves a breathtaking warmth behind that had me craving more of that irresistible pull Legend and Scarlet created. This was a mesmerizing, engaging romance that had me completely rooted to my chair as I absorbed every word on every page.
There seemed to be enough mystery that makes a reader want to know more about whats going on and whats not being said. Its intriguing and heart stopping good! Legend and Scarlet are one EPIC couple and I can’t freaking wait to get my hands on House Of Scarlet to see just what happens next because that ending…..it devastated me! The Fall of Legend gets a MESMERIZING TEN HOT AND FIERY STARS!
5 BRIGHT SHINY GOLD STARS… squared.
Yep. You read that right. 10. Flipping. Fantastic. Stars.
I sincerely love every single of Ms March’s books. Literally every one. Her Dirty Billionaire, Creighton is still my one true book boyfriend.
Legend. Oh my goodness. Legend!!
And Scarlett. What’s not to love. She’s fan-flipping-tastic!
This story is so different than her New Orleans series. And she’s such a phenomenon strong weaver.
To live one day is Meghan’s brain would be such a treat!
If you are looking for an epic tale of love, chaos angst, with a dose of HOT HOT HEAT! The Fall of Legend is the book for you!
Ends on cliffhanger and is part of a trilogy. Next book out in December with conclusion in Jan 2020.
Flipping loved this!

I need more Legend !!
That man is just off the charts !! I can’t wait to see where this story goes !! Will he give in .. will Scarlett break him. .. I need to know about his past !! I need answers now !!
I’m a Mississippi girl so I love that it’s in this book !!!
As always meghan is the queen of cliff hangers. She always leaves you wanting more!! And I can’t wait for more !!
HOLY MOLY!!!!!! What an exciting story!! I need more of Gabe and Scar!!
The Queen of Cliffhangers does it again! The Fall of Legend enters us into Gabriel and Scarlett’s world and what a world it is! From Scarlett’s store to Gabriel’s club and fighting background; it was all fabulous! Gabe and Scarlett are hot and I love all the side characters (some I’m already hoping get their own story someday!). What a great start to this trilogy – my heart was in my throat as I saw the end was nearing. I want more Legend! Bring on books 2 and 3!
Wow, my heart was beating out of my chest by the end of the book!
Scarlett’s life is pretty upfront, what you see is what it is. But her thoughts and feelings run deep, and even what you see isn’t surface or to be dismissed. Legend has many layers and a sordid past, and you definitely aren’t seeing or knowing any of him right away. But as his layers start to be revealed, you begin to understand some of what has made him who he is and why he acts as he does
One thing is clear, there is danger for both of them. They have enough points that are touching or intersecting, that this is not going to be a smooth or simple love story. There is going to be some chaos, some pain, and some hurt. Lucky for both Scarlett and Legend, they have friends and support networks that seem to their best interests at heart, even if their methods are maddening or not what they want. Can’t wait for the next installment in this trilogy to see what happens next
Meghan March promised epic with this one and boy did she deliver! I absolutely loved Gabriel and Scarlett. I was hooked from the first page, but kept stopping because I didn’t want it to end! I’ll probably just wander around in a daze waiting for the rest of their story!!! I don’t know how Meghan comes up with these characters that just consume you. And her story ideas are so so original and interesting! A store called Curated that Scarlett created? Brilliant! An underground mma fighting club by Gabriel Legend called Urban Legend?! Genius! I loved everything about this book and can’t wait for the rest of their story!!!
I love it when Meghan March creates new worlds and we can dig deeper into them. This book had me from the prologue and kept my interest throughout. These characters seem real. They are flawed and make mistakes, and they have all kinds of things going on in their lives.
Gabriel Legend is just that…The man. The myth. The Legend. But he is also hiding from his past while trying to build his future. He struggled to break free from humble beginnings and tragedy, clawed his way to the top with underground fighting, and then pinned his new dreams on his new elite club, Legend. Unfortunately, his opening night was ruined and his club is failing because of it.
Scarlett Priest is the “it” girl. People want to be her, follow her to the cool spots, and they flock to her kitschy store. She has the wealthy family, the successful boyfriend, and thriving business. She exhibits this perfect facade, but is always being seen and judged. She is smart, savvy, and intuitive, but she is a work-a-holic and not really living life to the fullest. She is predictable, orderly, and in a rut.
When she unexpectedly meets Legend, they sort of make a deal to help each other out. But that one meeting also becomes a catalyst for her to shake things up and take a hard look at her life and own goals. She wants to get a little messy, feel alive, and get out of her comfort zone. Gabe does not let people in his inner circle easily for a reason. He does not show his feelings and does not get close to new people.
These two seem like opposites, but they are like magnets drawn together. They are from different worlds, classes, and financial stations. They both have threats against them or people that do not want to see them happy. He brings the complication, mess, passion, more danger, and possible heartbreak. She is a light and life that he doesn’t think he deserves and does not want to taint with his darkness. But these two spark, sizzle, and cannot seem to look away despite possible consequences.
Can something that feels so right, really be so wrong?
This is part of a new trilogy, so it definitely leaves you wanting more. I loved Gabe. He is a different type of alpha. He is rough around the edges and tough, but he also cares deeply about the ones he holds dear and has a vulnerability to him that he tries to hide. And I loved that Scarlett is a woman trying to figure out what she really wants versus what she thinks she should do to please everyone. She is a work in progress, and so is he. I cannot wait for more with them!
And this one brings in a lot of side characters that have substance and unique personalities. So there is quite a bit of introduction and world-building, but it will just add more depth to the overall storyline as it progresses. There are plenty of fun friends and confidantes, and some antagonists as well. So bring on the angst, drama, and even danger. I am ready for more!
ARC provided in exchange for an honest review
I’ve been a Meghan’s fan for some time so I knew I was going to like this book, I just didn’t think I would like it so much.
This book got me from the first chapter when we see how Scarlett and Gabriel met for the first time.
Can’t wait to read more about these two so I’ll be picking this trilogy really soon!
Meghan March presents her characters in a typical way for her, which may make the book seems slow-paced. However, this mystery that it is created by that and this constant feeling of excitement and anticipation reward it all. And I can guess what direction the author would take with this story, but I have read enough of her books that I know that she will surprise or shock me with the result.
I can’t believe I didn’t wait for the whole trilogy to come out and read them one after another because now I am anxious to see what happen next. Actually, before I started to read The Fall of Legend I was thinking if I maybe should wait, but I was so so excited that I just couldn’t help myself.
So for those who haven’t read The Fall of Legend yet or for those who haven’t decided whether to wait for the entire trilogy to come up, I honestly don’t know what’s better: reading the first part and waiting for the next one eagerly? or waiting and experience Scarlett and Gabriel’s stories at once, knowing that you can now satisfy your curiosity. However you decide you will be satisfied, I highly recommend this book it is a must-read for sure.
4-4.5 stars
There’s a couple of things I know when I pick up any book by Ms. March. I know I’ll be getting a strong female, a sexy as all get out Alpha male and one heck of a story. Again, Ms. March does not disappoint. Scarlett and Legend have chemistry from the first time they meet, regardless of how unconventional it is Classic wrong side of the tracks attraction. Scarlett agrees to help save Gabe’s club. While it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, it’s nowhere near as heart stopping as expected from Ms. March . I’m still glad the trilogy is complete & that I don’t have to wait to continue their story.
MEGHAN MARCH, has another 5 star trilogy. Scarlett Priest is followed on social media and the people who follow her posts as to where the hottest place to be follow her there. . Gabriel Legend opened a club called LEGENDS . The first night his club opens a masked man shoots up the club. Business comes to a halt and Gabriel is on the brink of losing the night club.. Scarlett agrees to try to make the club successful again. Scarlett has lead a good girl life always stayed the epitome of class and privilege. Everyone wants to be where she goes.. Legend knows she is out of his league but is drawn to Scarlett and she is drawn to him. Life is about to take her on a journey she does not want to come back from. This first book in the legend trilogy grabs you in from the first chapter. The story has you hoping Scarlett busts out of her shell. The book ends on a wtf note. I cannot wait for “The House of Scarlett” to continue the story of Scarlett and Gabriel.
Meghan March has long been a fave of mine simply because I adore how complex and well-written her characters and story lines are. It’s like literary tiramisu and you know this Southern gal’s got a sweet tooth the size of Texas
I read her Dirty Mafia duet back in early fall and fell head over heels in LOVE with Cannon Freeman. But, even as amazing as Cannon was, let’s talk about a teeny tiny blip on the DMD map. There was a quick mention of Gabriel Legend and as soon as he stepped onto the scene, I was immediately drawn to him. I’m talking moth-to-flame, Ross-to-Rachel, gravy-to-biscuit level attraction, y’all
I jokingly mentioned on one of MM’s Legend teaser posts that this was like Lady and the Tramp 2.0 (can anyone say Letty and the Tramp?), but after reading The Fall of Legend, I am 110% convinced that deep down, this is the grown-up retelling of the classic tale of tails. (PS If Meghan March is reading this: I believe a sketti-and-meatball rendezvous is needed within the trilogy—pretty please )
If you take away the ruff and fluff, you could even draw parallels with another of my faves: Aladdin. A scrappy man with a red-hatted sidekick, an iron will to escape the bonds of his past and poverty, and a steely determination to win the heart of a princess who’s bored with the façade of her ivory-towered reality? Sound familiar? I rest my case, counselor. #TeamUnderdogForTheWin
What’s my verdict on Book 1 of the Legend trilogy? The legendary KBR 6/5 improper fraction star rating for this TKO! The steam from Legend and Scarlett will scald you for sure. Good Lort… This couple! The slow burn in this book singed my soul and had me panting for more. When Queen Britney sings, “Gimme, gimme more,” she was talking about Gabe and Scarlett. (Seriously. Look at the lyrical footnotes. It’s reaaaaaally tiny, but totally there. In white ink. )
The backstories are rich and left me wanting more from the vault of storyteller’s secrets. Scarlett’s struggle with FOMO: Family Edition is so genuine and raw, and I felt every pang along with her as she recounted all the real-life riches her life could not yet afford. Gabriel, in all his broken splendor, was show-stopping and I couldn’t help but fall more in love with him, one page at a time, as he told me all the things he sacrificed to get to where he is now. I wanted to give that man the biggest hug, but I think that’s better left to a certain blonde-haired good luck charm or adorable Cane Corso. I firmly believe we’re gonna get to see our underdog use his fists of lightening and roar of thunder, fighting those who rob or plunder. I doubt it’ll be done in a cape, but one can always dream. Right?
Getting to know the most important people in their lives was a wonderful treat and can’t wait to see more from them all (even if I want to tell a few of them: mindyourownbidness, ya nosy yentes!). Always well written, MM’s works are like a fine wine: her stories grow better with her age. All that’s missing now is a creative couple moniker to finish out this review Thinking cap on Creativity on simmer Hmmmmmmmm…
Okay. How about…
#PriestAndPauper? Nah. That’s a poor choice of words
#ScaBriel? Too rash? Get it? Yeah, that was lame-o.
#Legentt? Ohhhhhhh! Getting some serious MC Hammer vibes now, y’all! “Too Legentt, Too Legentt quit!” Hey, it could catch fire Or not
DISCLAIMER: I received an ARC for my honest opinion.
Ms. March does it again….and again…and again and I am completely in love with Gabriel Legend!
The Fall of Legend is the first book in her new Legend Trilogy. This book basically lays out the groundwork (back stories, peripheral characters, etc.) revolving around our dynamic couple Gabriel Legend and Scarlett Priest. This is the CHASE! Legend is an ex-MMA Fighter now club owner and Scarlett is a wealthy debutante stuck in a shitty relationship. You are riveted to the couple getting to know each other and just know that their connection will be combustion after she dumps her deadbeat.
I love Scarlett’s company concept Curated (curating unique pieces of furniture and baubles that can be purchased for the home or for social media presentation) – what a great idea! Her current beau is a jerk working for her dad’s company and basically using her to get a piece of the company. Daddy loves him more than her – creating a major daddy issue for our heroine. Gabe retains her “services” as a social media influencer to help save his club in an “unconventional” manner – but she takes on the challenge wholeheartedly.
As you read thru the story, there are additional characters being mentioned that you just know are going to show up and blow the relationship apart in the next two books. However, Ms. March kicks us into that explosion without anyone’s help. UGH! As is our author’s way – we end up with a cliffhanger – just more frustrating after such a good “bond” forms between these two strong personalities.
On to book two – “The House of Scarlett” – I just know this one will kick my butt even more, but I am a glutton for Meghan March’s books!
HOLY SHIT!!!! This story was EPIC! Meghan has done it yet again and my mind is all over right now. Gabriel Legend is a man who has had a rough start in life and moved to NY to get a fresh start. His brother kidnaps a woman, Scarlett Priest, in order to help their current situation. After a little nudge, Scarlett decides to help Legend with his problem. Scarlett, a well known figure in society, shows up to the club as promised and brings it “back to life”! Once she sets eyes on Legend again, she can’t seem to get him off her mind. And the same goes for Legend. He tries to not think about her, but can’t help it. The two become closer as friends, hang out more and get to know each other and then that’s when things get heated;-) All I can say is, this is a MUST READ and I can’t wait for Book 2!! (Reviewed 11/14/19 on Audible)
Best Meghan book yet! Legend is unlike and alpha ever! Can’t wait to see where this story goes!
There are few romance books that I re-read once I’ve read them. I’ve revisited “50 Shades” of course, and Sylvia Day’s “Crossfire” series. Even though I hate cliff-hangers that require you to order the next book in a series, I’m going to re-read Meghan March’s Legend Trilogy, for all the reasons listed.
