One night. No names. No faces. It should have been simple. I’ve never been reckless with my heart until I meet a handsome stranger at a secret masquerade ball. From the glint of his dark eyes, he knows I don’t have an invitation. I’m not rich or a celebrity. I’m just the personal assistant of someone important. Instead of showing me the door, he escorts me through the gardens and into a world of … through the gardens and into a world of decadence, sin, and forbidden pleasures.
From the moment we meet, I can’t stop thinking about him. The way his hands feel on my hips. The press of his hard chest against mine. Everything about this night is a sham except for the way he owns my body. Tomorrow, I’ll go back to my normal life and forget this ever happened. Tonight, I’m going to live it up.
Except…this isn’t the ending. It’s just the beginning. A few months later, my new boss is the billionaire exiled prince from the masquerade, and I’m in serious trouble.
Cinderella meets Fifty Shades in this dark, royalty romance.

Love, love, love this book. Quick, hot and dirty! Plus, it launches a great new series from talented author Jeana E. Mann.
I loved how visual and fast-paced this story was! It kept me turning the pages to the very end.
The Exiled Prince is a steamy electric read from the author of The Rebel Queen. Roman and Rourke meet a masquerade where everything and everyone are anonymous. Have a great time with a stranger, right? Imagine Rourke’s surprise when, a couple of months later, said stranger is her new boss! The question is does Roman remember Rourke, or will the anonymous encounter remain a secret? This is an entertaining, sexy and mysterious story with witty engaging characters. It is entertaining from beginning to end. Jeana E. Mann fans will love it!
Thank you to the author for a complimentary copy. I voluntarily reviewed this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
The Exiled Prince (Royal Secrets #1) by Jeana Mann is the story of Rourke and Roman. I first met them in The Rebel Queen duet. If you haven’t read the books do so. The story is really good. Rourke is the best friend to Everly. When the two of them go to an exclusive masquerade party, Rourke comes in contact with the man of her dreams. She has one magical night with the mystery man before she returns to her life. Rourke now needs to find a job, a place to live and figure out how to keep her elderly aunt in care. When a dream job falls in her lap she is excited till she meets her boss. He is a real piece of work. After working with this difficult boss for a while she finally realizes he is her Prince Charming from that magical night. Roman is a man in pain and turmoil. One night he met a woman who he still hasn’t forgotten. Imagine now finding her after all this time working for you. A really good story that was interesting from the beginning till the end and kept me wanting more. Didn’t want to put this book down. Roman is all that. He has many facades that would make any woman swoon which he did to Rourke. Definitely a world wind romance. What will the next book bring. 4 stars for me
Let me start this review with a confession. I inadvertently read this book out of the intended order. I first came to know (and love) Jeana E Mann by reading The Rebel Queen Duet books. I didn’t even know the Royal Secrets trilogy existed when I read that duet. Having said that I think I actually enjoyed this book more because I had read it out of release order. I originally came to know Rourke & Roman through the eyes of Rourke’s best friend, Everly. It was really nice for me to be able to flush out Rourke & Roman as characters since they were secondary characters in the book I originally read. This book was all the things I love about Mann’s writing. There is sex, love, intrigue, scandal, suspense and more. Mann is one of my favorite author finds of 2019 and I can’t wait to keep reading her series.
“Cinderella meets Fifty Shades” really is the perfect description for this book. Fun characters, and hot romance. A totally fun read if you’re in the mood. I was and this definitely gave me what I wanted. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
What an amazing, dramatic, energizing romance between Rourke Donahue and Prince Roman Menshikov. Rourke is a polished professional who can stand on her own. She knows when to give in and when to stand her ground. She is a little insecure about her looks but with encouragement accepts herself as she is. Roman is a powerful billionaire. He is a dominate alpha type and does not take no for an answer. He is demanding and gives no quarter to others feelings until Rourke enters his life. At first, she finds him intolerable as her employer. But she has obligations that keep her from quitting her job. Prior to Rourke and Roman working together, they spent a passionate night together at a masquerade ball. It wasn’t until way after she started working with Roman, she realized that he was the masked stranger from the ball. It took a little longer for Roman to figure out who Rourke was. Roman’s brother Nicky is trying to sabotage his relationship with Rourke. Rourke goes through a lot of emotional ups and downs over Roman. She is overwhelmed with emotion. However, she continues to give Roman 100% at her job as his personal assistant. They travel all over. Roman does something for Rourke he has never done for any other woman. An exciting romance that I highly recommend.
Loved it!! What a great read. I enjoyed the interesting storyline behind the characters. I loved the slow burn of the romantic relationship that’s going on. And of course, the steamy sex scenes are a huge bonus. I can’t wait to read what comes next.

Even though I already owned Jeana E. Mann’s “The Exiled Prince (The Exiled Prince Trilogy Book 1),” I agreed to review it as an ARC via Booksprout; I recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time… Happy Reading!
Take me to a place where I can hide behind a mask and let my inhibitions run free. This where The Exiled Prince will take you. Attending a masquerade bachelorette party, Rourke puts her trust in a masked dominating stranger. Rumor has it, Roman Menshikov, business mogul may be in the mix. It’s only meant to be a one-time thing. After that, her boring life in New York will go on.
Once back in New York, Rourke takes a job as an assistant for a ruthless, demanding, and gorgeous man. His demands,(“Bring me Condoms”), are impossible and his lack of respect, (never getting her name right), is enough to quit. However, the money’s too good and something about him makes Rourke’s veins pulse with lust. Could he be the masked stranger she cannot stop thinking about? And if he is, what will he do is she tells him?
I enjoyed the journey The Exiled Prince takes you on with its ups and downs, sexual tensions, and the mystery to be discovered. A real page turner!! Very well written, Jeana E. Mann.
A prince in more ways than one
Jeana E. Mann gives us another contemporary romance gem, this time with a bit of the Cinderella touch. Roman Menshikov is a big deal – wealthy, powerful, connected, but reclusive. Rourke is hired as his personal assistant, not realizing that they’ve met socially once before. She, and he, survive the awkwardness, and as Rourke discovers who he really is, it becomes a hot romance. Totally enjoyable.
A fantastic read. Couldn’t put it down!
Damn what a whirlwind of events. Typical Jeana E. Mann she always throws these curveballs that gets you more involved in the story.
Roman and Rourke met a masquerade ball where anonymity was mandatory. The chemistry was thru the roof electrical and steamy and as soon as it began it was over. Fast forward couple months when they run into each other again in the most unexpected way. Roman attitude wasn’t the best. He was a complete a-hole and I give Rourke credit for putting up with his bad attitude. But there was a reason for his attitude which will need to be read because I won’t spoil.
There were lots of secrets, lots of secondary characters that had secrets too which added to the suspense and angst of the story. This is Book 1 of 4 and the author started out really good. Roman redeemed himself and I must say that Rourke also stood her ground. I can’t wait to see how much steamier these two will be in Book 2. And also the outcome of the secondary characters, especially Nicky since he seemed like a thorn that won’t go away.
Fast-paced, sensual, and addictive!
Really loved this book. I went through the gambit of emotions. The characters were strong and story was great.
Part so a series. The last part felt rushed
Sweet, not steamy
I liked it
Loved thus series.
Enjoyed this book. Very original twist to a love story.
