Ambitious. Intense. Irresistible. I never wanted to fall for a man. And definitely not two men. They tear me apart until I don’t know how I’ll ever be whole again. Until I’m not sure I want to be. The dynamic between Harper, Christopher and Sutton, is intense, filled with sexual tension, heated chemistry, and amazing love that pulls until you think it may break.
Five epic-stars! Such a way to conclude one of the most forbidden and filthy duets over 2018!
What a forbidden masterpiece has penned Skye Warren! With The Evolution of Man she has put over her head the crown of the taboo princess. Wow! I’m SPEECHLESS and irrevocably OBSESSED with this sinful duet. Skye slowly killed us with the intense and irresistible plot and wonderful characters. I was torn apart by the unexpected turns and twits of the story. I kept turning pages until I devour each chapter like a manic. I lost myself and forgot the world around me. Gosh! Skye Warren always turns upside my world with her elegant, hot and flawless writing.
The storyline is captivating, powerful and ambitiously developed. This is Skye Warren at her best! Damn it! I wonder how Skye Warren’s mind works because she writes what readers around the world crave. The Evolution of Man is gold intertwined with diamonds and filthy sex that will set you on fire. It is powerful PERFECTION at the best way possible. Such a way to conclude one of the most forbidden and filthy duets over 2018!
To fall for a man is beautifully complicated but to fall for two men is scandalous taboo! Harper, Christopher and Sutton; three people caught in a web of lies, sizzling lust, forbidden feelings and dangerous attraction. Their story is a seductive, full of angst and tricky emotional! You can expect the unexpected with them. Each one carries the world on their shoulders. They are complex and complicating characters and they give strong elements to this book to make it intriguingly awesome and powerful.
Harper, Christopher and Sutton’s triangle love had me at the edge of my seat. To be honest, I was on Team Christopher since I read Survival of the Richest however Sutton also stole my heart with his southern manners and gentlemanly behaviour. Both, Christopher and Sutton are like the moon and the sun; different but intensely similar at the same time. Cold and hot; an explosive combination that made me swoon all the time. Each of the two had the luck to share a strong, fierce and beautiful woman like Harper. She was seduced by the power they had over her and intensity of the lust she discovered in their arms. She is passionate and her blood is hot like any other woman on earth but she was drawn by the taboo and all-consuming lust. To chose or not to chose, that’s the question my dears.
Everything in this book was carefully tangled to create a masterpiece for readers who have SINGULAR tastes (like me). The book is freaking WONDERFUL.

“Pretend you don’t want this, if it helps. That goes for the both of you. I’ll be the villain in this story.”
I both loved and hated The Evolution of Man by Skye Warren. On the one hand it was everything that I expected after reading Survival of the Richest, on the other I never gave up hope on this being MORE in every sense of the word.
“It’s a bad habit of mine, destroying the things I love.”
Like my review for the first book, I am just going to give my thoughts on the characters because 1) you need to read Survival of the Richest before jumping in and I don’t want to ruin that experience and 2) the characters are what make this story what it is.
“If we look up the word ‘diabolical’ in one of the old dictionaries here, there will be Christopher’s face with his dark eyes and cheekbones.”
Okay so let’s start with Christopher. He is still controlling and frustrating. I just want to slap this man and say open your eyes!! GRRRR!!! I can’t even with him. I know a lot of readers love Christopher, and I don’t hate him, but he just drove me crazy with his actions. I’m still debating if his reasons were selfishness or love.
He’s dangerous, this man. More dangerous than Christopher’s cruel indifference.
Sutton Mayfair. I thought this man was fantasy material before, but now… you need to point a fire hose my way, this man sets my libido on fire. We learn a little something that just makes him hotter in my opinion, something that I wish was explored more, even if just to fuel my Sutton fantasies. And I will always be #TeamSutton I don’t care what anyone has to say about it.
“Christopher has a way of ruining a person, doesn’t he? You meet him and boom, it’s all over.”
Harper, the poor girl, is dealt so much. These two men, her mother, the library. It seems that everything is against her and she stays so strong. I found myself wishing I could give her the shoulder she needed. You will tear up a time or two in empathy to her and her situation.
“I’m allowed to say no, Sutton.”
“You’re allowed to. Maybe I’ll even believe you.”
I had my suspicions on how this story would end, and they were right, but I still wish that it would have went a different way. That being said, I still loved this ending to a beautiful love story a long time in the making and will continue to stalk Skye in hopes of a little something to come my way and give me the fix I need after reading this. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, well you should probably read this and find out 😉

A while back in June, I read a book called Survival of the Richest by Skye Warren. I went on a roller coaster with it. I smiled. I swooned. I screamed. Every single sentence and word in the book, I ate it up and swallowed. Little did I know that it will end up with a shocking ending that wrecked. I was a mess again. I needed book 2. I needed my answers. The Evolution of Man appeared in my kindle. I was so excited to the point that I could not contain it. Finally, I would get my answers. Finally, every twist and turn would be resolved. I was truly blown away. Skye Warren always managed to captivate me with her words. You feel like you are in the book, watching every scene from the side-lines. The eye-catching storyline. The smashing characters. The Evolution of Man is a total escape to a twisted and incredible world. I waited for this book for a long time. Let me tell you, it was truly worth the wait.
The Evolution of Man is the stunning conclusion to the Survival of the Richest duet. What the hell, Skye Warren? My heart was already butchered by Survival of the Richest. Now you want to annihilate even more with The Evolution of Man. The Evolution of Man fully decimated my soul. Every page poured out emotion till it crippled me. Every sentence told a story of angst that ripped me in two. Every word teared me up. Wow, The Evolution of Man took my breath away. Sexy. Seductive. Sensational. The Evolution of Man is an emotional journey of strength and love. A story of a love triangle that pulls your heart strings. A story of shocking and warped mind games. The Evolution of Man will mess with your mind. The Evolution of Man will take your breath away. The Evolution of Man will push your boundaries. You will love every moment of it. I utterly fell in the rabbit hole of The Evolution of Man. Skye Warren paints a picture and you become easily trapped in the colours o her writing. Her writing absolutely sucks you in. You feel every emotion. Every suspense. Every chill. Every thrill. Her writing encompasses everything that’s brilliant. The Evolution of Man truly emptied my soul. What a magnificent continuation.
In The Evolution of Man, your mind, body, soul and heart wrapped in a love triangle so striking and devastating. My mind was played like a toy. I found myself flip flopping on who Harper should choose or what team should I be in. At the end of Survival of the Richest, I was not sure of which team I was. Even finishing, The Evolution of Man, I am still not sure who I rooted for. Weird, I know. The Evolution of Man to me was about Harper. You feel her pain. You feel her heartbreak. You go on her journey of love and strength. This book is not about Christopher nor Sutton. It is about Harper.
Skye Warren truly knows how to capture my heart and soul. She keeps giving me books I cannot comprehend. I just love it. The Evolution of Man excited me but it opened a part of my heart. Truly a must read.
Wow, this book — no, this series was one of the best I’ve read!
I was always conflicted on who I liked more, Sutton or Christopher. They both had their own unique personality and very, very hard to choose which one fit best with Harper.
I loved Harper, she went through so much in this series. With what happened to both her parents, I mean that was hard to cope with and on top of that she had to deal with Sutton and Christopher. Both men that drove her crazy.
The chemistry she had with both of them was just unfathomable. They both ignited something inside of her, but one more so than the other.
Skye Warren did such a spectacular job with this series and I have to say, it’s been one of the best I’ve read this year!
What a conclusion to the Trust Fund Duet.
Bear with me here because anything I attempt to write could be considered a spoiler, so I’m going to be as evasive as possible to prevent that from happening.
The Evolution of Man starts of six months after the ending in Survival of the Richest. We are thrown right into Harper’s life trying to save the library and save her mom as much as she can from the cancer trying to take her life.
GAH! I was not expecting this book to be as emotional as it was.
Harper’s drowning, not knowing what to do, how to save was tearing me up inside. Her anguish at slowly seeing her mother deteriorate was written so realistic, I felt myself breaking down too.
Then comes in Christopher and Sutton. Two men trying to break her apart but also piece her together and offer as much distraction from her turmoils.
The problem was, who did you trust when everyone was constantly lying to you? Who really has your back and who is trying to make you fall?
I was SO CONFUSED! I had absolutely no idea who was going to end up with Harper. At one point I thought Sutton, but then jumped to Christopher, and there was even one horrible instance where I thought Harper would just end up completely alone! JESUS!
Now, this wouldn’t be a Skye Wareen book without her steamy, sexy scenes. I can’t talk about them, but know they are EVERYTHING and more. I’m completely addicted to this author’s writing style. I need more words from her.
Again, I also loved how she was able to incorporate other characters from her previous series.
P.S. Can I please have more Gabriel Miller?? Thanks!
The Evolution of Man by Skye Warren is a heartbreaking, raw, emotional erotic romance that was complicated and yet sensual and thought-provoking. Yes, this is a love triangle. Yes, there is heartbreak. Yes, there are flawed characters. Yes, to all of the above but what Skye Warren magnificently does is she creates a story that sucks you in. A story where your heart bled for the heroine, Harper as she battles with her feelings for two men and at the same time cope with the struggles of her loss. As far as what to expect, expect the unexpected. An ending that will leave you reeling and at the same amazed how poignant, beautiful, tragic and sultry Warren’s writing is. A must read for fans of a complicated love story that is layered with truth, honesty, pain, and a deeper understanding of love.
4.5 brilliant stars!!
Talk about an emotional rollercoaster ride!! After how book 1 ended I have been eagerly awaiting this one and Skye Warren didn’t disappoint. It was an amazing and perfect conclusion to this wonderful duet.
Delicious and unforgettable!
“Love isn’t supposed to be painful.”
“Then why does it hurt?”
I don’t even know where to start with this review! The Evolution of Man is the conclusion of the Survival of the Richest duet. The duet was not at all what I was expecting! The story captured me from the start. A page turner that kept me guessing until the end. A woman caught between two alphas…..
“The three of us together are dysfunctional and wrong, but it feels so good.”
There is so much more as the story concludes! Harper, Christopher and Sutton sucked me into their crazy universe. The complex relationship between them contains struggles, declarations, choices and vulnerability. Power, lies, competition, love, loss, trust issues – they all continue. Christopher is still so arrogant and Sutton remains smooth and “gentleman-like”.
Sky Warren takes you on a crazy ride. The turns are sharp and the twists jump out at you. And the hits kept coming! The back and forth between Christopher and Sutton was both maddening and erotic as hell! The story is so simple yet so complex! The sex is even hotter! I am talking holy crap, steamy, don’t-bother-wearing-panties sex! Talk about pushing boundaries! I was right on the edge at times.
The web keeps weaving and the frustration did not waver. Every time I thought I knew what the outcome would be, I was blind-sided. The story is complex yet the writing is smooth and flowing.
An amazing duet! The buildup contains so much angst and uncertainty. Harper has quite the journey. I would have loved a little more at the end. Maybe a chapter from Christopher and Sutton’s POV. I would LOVE to know what was going through their heads at certain points! Also an epilogue to see a little into the future. The Evolution of Man left my breathless, exhausted and panting for more!
“Survival is about staying the same.”
4.5 stars!

I confess that my expectations for this book were high, after all I loved Survival of the Richest and was eagerly awaiting the conclusion of the story. It hurts me a lot to say that unfortunately I was disappointed.
The book starts six months after the previous one ended. Harper now has full control of her trust fund, and decides to make good use of the money. Buy a mansion for her mother, so she can spend her remaining months comfortably and decide to save the library ruined by Christopher in the first book. But in the face of several denials from the region’s engineering firms, her only hope is Sutton, and for that she decides to go after him and ask for help.
And the triangle again returns to the spotlight. Despite being in love with Christopher, Sutton sparks feelings on her. And the three of them are going to board this cat-and-mouse game all through the book. Harper wants to save the library at all costs, it becomes almost an obsession. With her personal life imploding, her energies turn to this project, since she can not save her mother. Christopher is more mysterious than usual and Sutton is hiding something. Harper continues as the puppet between these two men.
My impression is the book spoke a lot and said nothing. There was no progress or big revelations. No great question was answered, just as Christopher and Sutton were not scrutinized. Simply more of the same.
The only breakthrough was in Harper’s narrative. The moments with her mother were hard and sad. I confess that the Death Plan also scared me, just as it scared the character. I understand the fact that she does not want to deal with it. Recognizing what was happening, everything would become real. Sometimes ignorance is a blessing.
When I thought the plot would be bold, and bet on a relationship between three people, the moment is lost, everything ends very quickly and without an adequate conclusion. I found it very pertinent to the story that Sutton is in love with Christopher, would explain why he was interested in Harper, but after a scene between the three, that idea is discarded and the subject does not resume at any moment.
I finished reading with more questions than answers. I still do not understand Christopher, don’t know if he’s good or bad. Harper implies that he has deceived her to steal her money, but again plots that would have an interesting development are not continued, they get lost.
Sutton did not show his true face either. After all, did he like Harper, used her to get even with Christopher, or did he have another motivation that was not shown? Christopher says several times that Sutton is not who he appears to be, but again there is no explanation.
Unfortunately for me it was not a good ending. I commented in the review of the first book that none of the boys deserved Harper, and I hold that opinion. Harper and Christopher did not give me any impression of being in love, but of being obsessed with an idea of what might have been. I can not see love in both. Sutton was the most interesting part of this second volume, despite the drastic change in behavior over the first book.
I got frustrated with the ending. It could have been better developed. A good story, a good plot, good characters, but lacked development, coherence and answers. What a pity!

An incredible ending to an amazing story….Sky Warren, I want to be the fly on the wall when you come up with these crazy good story ideas. I thought Survival of the Richest was my jam, but this second part of the duet was really my jam.
The dynamic between Harper, Christopher and Sutton, is intense, filled with sexual tension, heated chemistry, and amazing love that pulls until you think it may break. Harper struggles with her mother, her library and these two men. I won’t give any details or spoilers, but this book, actually the duet, are a must read. Don’t miss out on this great story.-Review by Catherine(Catty)
After being team fip flop in book one when I couldn’t decide whether I loved Christopher or Sutton more I went into this one feeling anxious… Well I ADORED this one!!!
The kind of love story that has you smiling, then scowling, then swooning, then shouting. This book has it all. Plenty of emotions, seriously hot, like blow up your kindle kind of chemistry and emotional scenes that had me reaching for the tissues.
I loved the three and the journey they took together. Skye Warren is fast becoming a one click author for me.
Emotional and very powerful!

Read Survival of the Richest First!
It took me a quick perusal of my last review to familiarize myself with where we were in the story. It certainly didn’t take as long for me to fall right back into the push and pull between these two intense men.
Your heart is right there with Harper as she tries to figure out why she is pulled towards both of these men. But her heart still belongs to one even though he appears to not have the same feelings.
We experience some heartbreaking moments in this story. We also experience hot connections between all three characters, separate and together. Quite amazing on its own. Sizzling!
Then she makes us wait all the way until the end find out the truth about everything that has been occurring. The building, illness, the men. Yes, plural… And more tears.
Skye Warren has given us an amazing story that is so unlike any other romance out there. You can feel the anguish and heartbreak, darkness and lightness. It’s truly a book you have to experience if you love contemporary romance.
The Evolution of Man is the angsty, captivating, and heartgripping conclusion to the Survival of the Richest duet. I loved the connection and relationships between Sutton, Christopher and Harper. Even after thinking I knew who I wanted Harper to end up with found myself torn and rooting for both Sutton and Christopher. The push and pull kept me hooked as I fell further under the spell of these beautifully flawed characters. They pulled at all of my emotions and had me loving every moment of it even when I didn’t want to. The Evolution of Man was a fantastic, angsty pageturner and quite the conclusion for this duet.
5 INTENSE STARS!! OMG….This book was so intense, push all your emotion button and generate all the feels. Harper, Christopher and Sutton have a story to tell you and it will never be forgotten, so Beyer ready for it. Skye Warren is a magician with her words and believe me you will read it in one sitting. You will definitely want to read the Survival of the Richest series, make sure to 1-Click.
I was anxiously awaiting the conclusion of this duet and I was not disappointed. Skye really delivers on the emotional intensity!
Can you feel desperation through the pages of a book? Can you wallow in confusion along with the characters, even up to the last moment? Can fear, pain, joy, and pleasure course through your system, all at the same time. Each as powerful as the other, until you are left bereft and smiling? You can, and you will, when you read this book. I was completely immersed in the world, in the story, and couldn’t pull myself away
This is the second story in the duet, and it takes place 6 months after our first story ended. Nothing is solved, nothing is clear, and everything is falling apart. It comes and goes in waves, the emotions of the characters are stark and will reach to you. The pain, it will weigh heavy on you, but somehow, with lightning flash power and precision, it comes together at the very end. The happily ever after is as tarnished and damaged as our characters, but it is what they want, and what they need, and that made the journey all the more meaningful
The Evolution of Man is the second book in this series, it picks up where The Survival of the Richest ends. This book is full of angst and it will put you through all sorts of emotions. We feel for Harper as she deals with life or death situations. Will it be Harper and Christopher or Harper and Sutton? The book was hard to put down until the satisfying conclusion.
