The Escort has a NEW COVER, but don’t worry – the story hasn’t changed. After years of living under the cruel thumb of her father, Julie Winslow is ready to take back her life and find her happily ever after. There’s only one problem – she’s a thirty-year-old virgin and embarrassed as hell about it.When her best friend suggests hiring an escort to not only help rid her of her pesky virginity but … pesky virginity but teach her some moves in bed, Julie swallows her pride and calls an escort agency. She books a date with the sexy and gorgeous Cal.
Court Thomas has been saving his identical twin brother’s butt for years. When Cal calls, begging him to take his place with his latest ‘date’, Court reluctantly agrees. Unprepared for his immediate attraction to the beautiful but fragile woman, he’s rocked by Julie’s request for him to take her virginity.
Determined to change her mind, he continues to impersonate his brother. But when Julie’s warm kisses trigger a desire he’s never experienced before, will he convince her to wait for ‘Mr. Right’ or take the sweet gift she’s offering?
Author’s note: This is a novella of 35,000 words. It contains explicit and steamy sex scenes that may not be your cup of tea. It is intended for mature readers only.

Julie dad controlled every move in her life. When he died 6 months ago Mary her best friend told her she needed to get out. Mary’s suggestion was to hire an escort. Julie decided to go through with this absurd idea. When she picked the guy she didn’t know it wasn’t Cal. He couldn’t make the date but he sent his twin. Court never thought Julie would turn his world upside down, but neither did Julie.
This was a book which showcased the author’s writing style in such a way that it floored me. It was written with a silent grace, which promotes the one thing all authors should know. We all have a unique voice and we should never compromise that.
One of the best erotica romance I read…
Loved it! Read it all in a few hours.
Julie is a 30 year old virgin. Not something she’s proud to admit. When her best friend talks her into using an Escort to lose the v-card, she reluctantly makes a date with Cal. Court is still moping about his breakup 6 months ago. When his twin calls him needing a favor, he doesn’t expect to be pretending to be an escort or falling for the beautiful virgin he’s promised to deflower. When it all explodes in his face, can Julie ever forgive his deception?
I liked the premise of this book and I thought Julie and Court had great chemistry. There were just some things that bothered me:
The POV kept changing sporadically. One minute I would be in Julie’s head and the next I’d be in Court’s with no warning.
The plot kept jumping ahead to their next scheduled meeting. There was very little groundwork laid for either character. It was date, sex, goodbye, minor friend conversation, date, sex, goodbye. The characters’ personalities didn’t have time to develop and neither did the environment of the story. It was extremely fast paced and would have made a better novella.
Then they were in love after 4 dates of only sex. Infatuation, lust, yearning maybe, but love just didn’t seem to fit the situation.
Add in Cal’s involvement and the way he blew up the news to Julie about him and Court was just ridiculous. He should have had a bigger role in the story so that his character had time to grow into the bastard he showed himself to be.
Overall, the story lacked depth and didn’t evoke much emotion.
I liked it. Had some good twists. Fun, easy, sexy read
poor plot and moved slowly.
You have to love a story that brings two people together who might never have met under normal circumstances, but once they do, oh man, is it hot! Ramona Gray kept it classy though. It being the whole girl hiring a male prostitute thing! It was liberating, empowering and scary for her, but I loved reading about how Julie finally was able to start working to take control of her life! After a lifetime of being controlled by her father, it was time. I loved the friendship that she had with Mary and the sisterhood they shared. I want a friend like Mary! I was a fan of Julie’s right from the start of this story and absolutely loved how it turned out. I think you will too! Did I mention how hot the relationship between Court and Julie make this story? So hot, so real! Seriously, get this story!
Loved that the main character was a plus size, that everyone deserves love
Quick enjoyable read
twin brothers need to exchange places. liked that our heroine was a bit heavier than most gals in stories.
The original Plot was a little hokie in that the heroine hires an “escort” to take her virginity (highly unlikely) however the characters were believable and held my interest. You could see the attraction develop between them over time. Even though he was a professional escort, she could see how he was being used with no regard for his feelings by women who hired him and how it hurt him. Because she truly saw him for who he was instead of what he was, the book was entertaining and a departure from the musclebound/tattooed “heros” of most contemporary romantic novels.
This book was just a train wreck. So many issues with the plot. Mistaken identities, ingenue innocence, gambling debts… when the gambling debt was thrown in, i was done. I quit. Well, first I did an eye roll, then I quit. I couldn’t. Just no.
boring. characters were very shallow and predictable. Didn’t get very far into it.
I really enjoyed this book.
Page & quick read
Great characters and interaction. Always makes you wonder what will happen next. It’s not certain if the girl will get the right guy, but everyone finally has a happy ever after by the end of the book.
I just didn’t care about the characters that much
Fun and entertaining. I enjoyed this very much.
This book is a little gem. Easy to read, original story and very romantic. I loved the characters and Julie comes out of herself to become a confident woman. Loved it!
