I really loved the island feel to each story. Each story is set in a different place. Getting Lei’ d is on a Hawaiian island. Cruising for love is on a cruise ship. Island hopping is set on the gorgeous island of Antigua. Love is in the air with a lot of trouble. A great way to stay warm while it is cold outside.

The Escape Series is the perfect collection to read on these cold winter nights because they left me dreaming about the beach. I loved all of the stories in this set and here is a review for one of my favorites.
Getting Lei’d: I loved Baggy (Bad Grandma) she’s perfect! This is a fun, sweet rom-com and one of my favorites by this author. Ann Omasta’s description of the characters, all the craziness Baggy and Roxy get into and the HEA makes this great read. I can’t wait to see what this amazing author comes up with next.
This 3 Book series was a very enjoyable and entertaining read! Each and every book in this box set had great character and storyline development that kept me totally engaged throughout each book in this must have collection!
This is a three-book boxset. The books in the set are Getting Lei’d, Cruising for Love, and Island Hoping. These stories are about two sisters, Roxy and Ruthie and their best friend Lizzie. These were funny, quirky, stories with some romance on the side. I really enjoyed the stories. I loved the side characters that showed up in books one and two thanks to the reality tv plot. Things just got so outrageous. The girl’s grandma Baggy is quite the character and has a tendency to stay some of the most outrageous things.
Getting Lei’d (book 1): Roxy
Roxy gets left at the alter by her finance Gary who has decided that he’s in love with Roxy’s best friend Lizzie. Guess she’s not much of a best friend, now is she? Roxy’s grandma and sister Ruthie decide that Roxy is going to go on her honeymoon anyway and they’ll all head off to the airport and so they’re all jetting off to paradise. The trip is one crazy adventure after another thanks to crazy grandma Baggy and her sister. While in Hawaii she meets Kai. They’re both attracted to each other, but can they make a relationship work? Can Roxy find happiness with Kai?
Cruising for Love (book 2): Ruthie
Ruthie joins a reality tv show thinking she’s going to be America’s next sweetheart. What she didn’t do is read the contract completely and she finds out that she has to marry a stranger. Next thing she knows she’s doing all sorts of crazy things and she’s definitely not being portrayed as Americas sweetheart but then she runs into Andrew, the one that got away. The hit it off and are attracted to each other. Can their new relationship survive the reality TV nightmare?
Island Hopping (book 3): Lizzie
Lizzie is the wedding wrecking best friend to Roxy from the first book. She feels horribly about messing up Roxy’s wedding even though it turned out for the best. Roxy has forgiven Lizzie but Baggy and Ruthie haven’t forgiven her, and she’s hasn’t forgiven herself. Lizzie is doing penance by going to Ruthie’s wedding in Antigua. She’s going to do everything she can to save Ruthie’s wedding from the sabotage the reality tv show producers are to do all for the sake of higher ratings. While she’s there she meets Shay, a charming surfer and slacker, according to Lizzie. Can the slacker and the self-professed workaholic make a relationship work? Lizzie doesn’t see how they can make it work.

This is a great trio of complex and humorous romance in colorful settings.
Fun local situations mix with miscommunications and some loves that just work out anyways – and others that just don’t, usually in epic fail sorts of ways.
If you enjoy a chuckle along with romance, this should be a great trio of reads for you!

A collection of 3 books that describe three women who find their ONE, but with difficulties – it would not be interesting otherwise…Mostly about opposites attract, the stories live of the stress put on the relationships when trying to adjust to the other’s wishes and needs.
Well-written, light-hearted and fun to read.

Great escape stories from one of my favorite authors. As always, she keeps it real with the hot romances in each story!
Getting Lei’d is an outrageously entertaining book. I loved the characters and the easy flow of the story. Omasta’s writing really lets you picture the tropical paradise. While reading, I swear I could smell plumeria, and I definitely had a craving for a pina colada!
In Cruising for Love, Ruthie gets herself into all sorts of situations—just as the producer had planned. Her one ally is her assigned stylist, Sal. He is in her corner from start to finish. He pretties her up and then wipes away her tears with each twist and turn the producers throw at her. The reality show production shines a light on all the very-staged scenes and uber-edited dialogue. If you are a reality TV show junkie, this might change your mind! It was hard not to laugh, but it was really easy to be disgusted with the reality behind reality TV shows.
In Island Hopping, the fun and humor come in the form of reality TV hijinks and Murphy’s Law situations that arise in the days leading up to the wedding. Island Hopping is a light-hearted romantic comedy that nicely wraps up the series of standalones. This fun novella provides a tropical escape in the dead of winter.
What an entertaining and funny set of books! Each book features a woman that has her own story of meeting Mr. Right on a beautiful tropical island. Personally, I am not sure what is better the reason for the getaway to the island or the new romances that are found. If you enjoy a really good story with great characters with lots of humor, this is a good collection to pickup. Enjoy Roxy, Ruth and Lizzie’s stories.

Books 1-3 of the The Escape Series they are well written stories that where fun to read, they are second chance stories. The couples are so wrong for each other, but just what each other needs. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Getting Lei’d
I thoroughly enjoyed this and would have happily kept reading if it was even longer. I adore romantic comedies. The more outrageously laugh-out-loud they are, the more I love them. And this book is one of the funniest things I’ve read all year. Straitlaced Roxy is a misfit in her mostly zany, definitely quirky, family. Kai’s an enigma; a strong silent type who’s keeping his secrets close to the vest. Watching as Kai and Roxy fell in love was utterly adorable. And the cast of eccentric secondary characters stole the show. There are even a few of the supporting cast I would love to see in stories of their own.
Cruising for Love
Reality TV is my guilty pleasure. After reading this book, I feel extra guilty about it now. I love a second chance, so I was particularly excited to see one of those hiding in Ruthie’s story. This book is filled with twists, surprises, and lots of funny moments. Unfortunately, it’s also got a heavy Mean Girl vibe that I wasn’t really a fan of. However, I adore the way the story wraps up – it’s perfectly Ruthie.
Island Hopping
This book starts out looking like a simple case of opposites attract, but Lizzie and Shay’s story is a little more involved than merely the driven Type-A city girl meets the laid-back surfer. Their misadventures are filled with snark and spice, and they show us Murphy’s Law hard at work. At the end of this trilogy I’m left wondering if the author has a bit of a vindictive streak with how ruthlessly she wields the question: “so what really is the absolute worst that could happen?” There are some seriously creative possibilities in answer to that question in here. I kind of hope we get to come back and visit these characters again sometime in the future.

I loved every one of the books in this collection so it stands to reason I’d love having them in one, convenient bundle.
From Roxy’s zany un-honeymoon escape to Hawaii, through Ruthie’s reality TV romance cruise through Ruthie’s exotic tropical island wedding where things come full circle and Lizzie, the best friend for whom Roxy’s fiance let her at the alter via text message, steps in and saves Ruthie’s wedding from all the disasters Mother Nature and a devious TV producer can concoct, this series is a laugh a minute rom-com extravaganza with a cast of charming characters including three hunky heroes, a host of exotic settings and plots that are just absurd enough to be genuinely funny.
If you’re a fan of exotic islands, silly stories and romance that sweet, funny and a little spicy, you really need this collection.
The Escape Series by Ann Omasta. The book set contains 3 contemporary romance stories that I found very entertaining. I found each story to be very enjoyable and steamy; a good mix of drama, passion, humor, and strong characters and of course HEAs. Since the blurb will give you a nice summary of what’s in each book, I will just confirm that the author’s descriptive writing will put you on the beach/boat/TV setting to enjoy the atmosphere surrounding the characters – it’s just like being there with them. The characters’ personalities are well-presented and the reader will feel the sizzling attractions as they get together with the one who is their other half. Don’t miss this one – the stories are delightful and fun!
The jilted at the altar bride, the klutzy bride and the former best friend, Ann Omasta has brought them all together for three wonderful romances with more than a few twists. The characters are well-developed and are people you want to know, especially Baggy. They have romance, humor, plot twists and great character interactions. I loved these stories.
