Liam gets put through the wringer in this book. There are a lot of twist and turns that made it one wild ride. I most definitely need to read Eliza’s books.
OMFG!! THE ENGINEER by Rachel Renee Blew Me Away!! So Much Suspenseful Obstacles of Twist and Turns that will have you wondering WHAT JUST HAPPENED!! A BEAUTIFUL WRITTEN SURPRISE and MUST READ BOOK!!
Liam Cauley is a CIA agent and in Book 2, he goes undercover as an automobile engineer to infiltrate a drug cartel. Liam has not been married long when he is told he is leaving to go undercover for 6 months or more. He doesn’t really want to leave his detective wife, but has no choice. He is a professional. He is told to not trust anyone on this mission, and no truer words or better advice could have been given him. He is to design a new motor that has more room to hide drugs to be smuggled out of the country. He does and is taken to meet a druglord. Liam is good at what he does, and meets lots of people, but always is watching and not trusting anyone, and it’s a very good thing too. This mission may cost him his life and his marriage, as his wife has gone radio slient. She is not anwering or taking any of his calls. There are so many twists and unexpected events and people in this one. But I feel you get a better feel for the life of a CIA agent and about Liam in this book. I thought Book 1 was amazing, but this one enthralled me even more. If you like suspense/thrillers, then I would highly suggest you pick up this book and/or series and read all about the Cauley files. Very much looking forward to the next one in the series. Oh and the ending, I had a feeling about part of it, but was ultimately so happy and excited for Liam.
My first read by this author and I really enjoyed it. This story is full of twists and turns and lots of action and suspense. Overall a great read and well written.
We meet Liam again as this is book 2. You don’t have to read book 1 to read this one but that one was good. Liam is sent on a top secret mission out of the country that will keep him away from his wife for a while. As they are newly married this is hard.
Liam is trying to get into the inner workings of the Mexican Cartel. As he does this he doesn’t know who to trust and who to not. There are plenty of instances where he looks out for himself. There were twists and turns of some characters that I did not see coming.
Full of action (plenty of action), secrets, death, mystery, and suspense. It will keep you guessing.
This is book 2 in the Cauley series. We to see more about Liam. He has been married for just awhile and is now being sent on a mission that he will gone for a long while. There is some great twist and turns that keeps you intrigued.
CIA Agent Liam Cauley finds himself finding for his life and desperate to safe his wife after an assignment puts everything at risk. Unable to trust anyone Liam is fighting for everything he holds dear. Full of danger and action packed this read is gripping and begs the question, how much is it worth to you to try to save the world?
As Liam has just gotten married to his love of his life he got put on an assignment. This assignment is 8 to 10 months in Mexico. Eliza is a cop working on a case that isn’t very easy to solve. Both Liam and Eliza have a busy professional life. As Liam learns more about what he is suppose to look for in the cartel. His wife becomes radio silence which makes him worry that there’s something wrong or she’s still pissed about him leaving.
This is the first time I have read this author and I am so happy I did. This book was amazing and so well written that you actually feel that you living the life right along with the characters. So many twists and turns around every corner and you don’t know who to trust. You will not want to put this one down once you start it. You also get a sweet surprise at the end of the book that will make you swoon and smile.
I love this series! Book 2 was definitely my favorite so far!
This is the second book in The Cauley Files series. While I enjoyed book one, I felt like I really got to know Liam better this time around. There was more discussion of his relationship with his now-wife, and I appreciated that. Poor Liam was surrounded by characters who might be there to help him, or they might be there to hurt him and his investigation. There were moments that I saw things coming before Liam did, but overall, he was smart and always willing to do whatever it took to get the intel that would move his case along. The secondary characters were well written, and they all frustrated me! I just wanted someone to be straight with Liam, instead of making his life harder that it already had to be. The cartel members were brutal, and there were many violent and bloody scenes. There were events that broke my heart and made me angry. But Liam came through, no matter the trials and traitors he faced. This book kept me engrossed and engaged. I really liked it!
I absolutely loved this book! It’s the second in the series and is action packed and a nail-biter. Liam Cauley is sent undercover in the Mexican Cartel. He knows it will be a long mission and hates leaving his wife of three months alone. He knows her police detective job will keep her busy. He is working as an engineer at a car manufacturer and has to design a motor that will allow more drugs to be hidden in it for transport. There are macho acting thugs, a few friends, a questionable partner, drugs, kidnappings and then Liam’s wife goes quiet. He doesn’t know if she’s mad at him or in danger, he just knows he needs to close the mission out and get home. Liam was told to trust no one and he finds that’s true.
